Chapter 16 - whistle away

This complicated things, she couldn't kill them if they were being forced to do this, was Sebas also? No he wasn't, she felt it in his voice, he meant what he said, and during their journey together she did not see a slave mark on him.

She looked at the woman and swung her rapier at her neck knowing she would block it, she had lowered her speed a little so she can catch up much easily. Then she controlled the ice, and created a pillar that slammed into her stomach sending the woman flying backwards.

The pilla then turned into a javelin which she turned around and threw at the group still being assaulted by the snowflakes, the javelin punched through the Castle and drilled a hole into the iron dome then stopped. The flaked entered through that opening, drilling into their bodies and ripping them apart.

While she was focused on them the other assassin had went to assist the swordsman, she saw it all of course but couldn't spare any effort towards them, she still had to deal with the constant assault from the spells, crescent slash . Silent smoke she heard two voices.

A crescent blue slash came flying at her and a tiny almost invisible needle made of smoke, she created an ice barrier that blocked the sword slash but the needle just passed through it like it was not even there.

It stabbed her in the chest, she was able to move so it wouldn't stab her heart. She could feel it damaging her Insides, her vision clouded for a bit and a condensed ball of fire hit her in the chest and exploded.

She was sent flying with her dress burnt at her chest, only her undergarment protecting her modesty. She rolled on the ground and dodged as a wind crescent blade slashed where she was, the woman was rushing towards her.

She could feel herself slowing down so she started taking things seriously, she didn't just turn the battlefield into an ice land for no reason. The woman jumped, wind flowing around her increasing her speed tremendously, even she could barely follow her movements with her eyes.

She didn't need to though, she could feel her using the ice intent in the air, when the woman touched the ground, the ice beneath her moved, a sharp icicle rose from the ground at blinding speed, stabbing her foot, the woman screamed and she kicked her stomach sending her flying.

Ice chains had binded the other assassin when he used his smoke technique to teleport behind her, chains rose from the ground and restrained him, he couldn't even use his technique as her intent she had flooding this place with during the entire battle prevent him from using his technique.

The ice serpent had been brought back and was fighting the swordsman, it was even bigger and more durable now than before, the other group was littered with wounds from the snowflakes especially the water mage, his entire body was covered in blood.

The tanks were better off by they also had wounds, everybody in this battle had been wounded to some extent. The fight continued for five hours straight, by that times everybody was bloody and running low on mana, including her.

The fact that she had handles them by herself was impressive considering she was not even a peak master yet, infact she was only mid stage not even late stage and 3 of the seven were peak stage while the rest were late stage, she had the lowest level here.

She laughed a little. What so funny? Asked the fire mage. You guys, seven of you have struggling against one girl, levels below you, pathetic, I expected more from you, especially you Sebas, what a disappointment you are.

Indeed princess, I am ashamed of my weakness but are you not running out of mana as well? You have after all been using spells a lot fighting against so many people. Oh Sebas, it seems you don't know about my family as much as you think you do.

Sebas frowned and she smiled slightly, besides Sebas, who said I can't fight without mana? I do admit your skills with the sword and physical prowess are unreasonable high for a mage princess but if you think you can take on all of us then you are welcome to try.

The two mages stood back and the rest went forward, the other tank had a giant hammer in his hand, when he swung it, huge gales of wind followed, the wind alone would definitely kill anybody below master realm, infact it would would be dangerous to master mages as well if they an anomaly like her

But as strong as he was he still came short of Sebas, each swing of his axe split the earth and cause the air to rumble, the two assassins even without mana were still strong and incredibly fast, especially the woman, her movements could keep up to Nobell but she was lacking In skill.

The swordsman was probably the biggest issue after Sebas, his blade was swung with purpose and uncanny skill for a slave, these people probably weren't always slaves who were simply trained for a purpose, they had been enslaved later in life.

Slavery isn't a crime in the empire but enslaving a master is a serious issue unless you a gave a reason for it, I doubt that flame guy is their master but it best to check. She kept dodging and blocking their moves.

She was moving at incredible speeds, dancing around her opponent but she couldn't dodge every attack, every now and then either one of the assassins or the swordsman would wound her.

She was also inflicting wounds on them, she had almost taken off the arm carrying the shield of the tank and even Sebas had an ugly wound on his neck, he was sweating, confusion and what seemed like....pride? Was visible on his face.

She must be imagining things, why would Sebas be proud of her, he was trying to kill her after all. She had actually taken three fingers off the assassin and the woman had a scar on her cheek and a bit of ice on her neck.

She looked confused, looks like it worked, she smiled. She watched as Sebas swung his axe and angled herself such that the blow will send her flying towards the two mages trying to regenerate their mana and so it did.

The mages looked confused seeing her flying towards them, the others were rushing towards them as well, she looked at the two, specifically their necks. The water mage had a mark but the fire mage did not.

She landed on the ground and skitted towards them, NO STOP STOP shouted the fire mage but her sword met his neck and watched as his head was sent flying, she kicked the trembling water mage in the chest, sending him flying and coughing blood.

Shit, said the assassin while rushing towards her. She jumped backwards and put her hand on the ground, then Sebas let me teach you about my family technique, did you think all of this ice was for fun?

They all stopped. Unsympathetic lord of the glacial plains, long has you gaze blessed the world, turn your back to the cold heaven and let the unworthy gaze at your peaks, Slumbering porcupine they saw a vision, as if a white and blue porcupine was sleeping on it back then it turned. The ice on the ground rose, giant sharp pillas of ice rose from the ground, the temperature dropped further, the dark clouds in the sky grew darker and snow fell like rain.

The peaks were tall, the shortest being 800 metres tall and others standing at kilometres, yet they were not too thick, they were thin and sharp and gleamed like polished swords. She could sense them lying on the ground with wounds, Sebas was smiling, I really underestimated you princess, he said. The swordsman had lost a leg and her, well she was spent, this was truly a hard fight but she won.

While basking in the victory she felt a new presence, it was also at the master realm but much more powerful than the rest of them. A man was walking amongst the ice pillars with a smile, clapping his hands slowly.

Truly magnificent princess, I doubt even i could defeat you by myself, pitty you have spent yourself, by the way thank you for killing that weakling brother of mine, he said as a ball of fire the size of a fist appeared above his hand, the surrounding temperature rose. Time to go princess, you were truly a thorn.

Yet before he could attack they heard a whistle, a soft melody and the smell of strong alcohol, they all stopped, feeling a bit lightheaded, then they saw a drunk man approaching, truly a spectacle, the man said with hiccups, he was talking while simultaneously whistling, it was truly strange, she thought with a sigh.
