"Move." One of the men said huskily as he nudged her roughly.
"Please, I didn't commit a crime." Fiona turned to them and pleaded as they reached the corridor leading to the dungeon.
But none of them listened to her. She was pushed forward and thrown inside the dungeon. That wasn't the end. One of them held a leather whip in his hand. She swallowed the lump in her throat as she remembered the order that Kael had given to them.
She tried to fight her way through, but was held down by their bulky hands. They tied her towards a pole.
"You attempted to kill the Luna." The man sneered.
"I…" she opened her mouth to say something, but closed it immediately as the whip crashed against her back.
She screamed loudly in pain as tears gushed down her face. Before she could recover from the stinging pain, another stroke landed on her back. She squirmed helplessly, trying her best to free herself from the pole, but it was of no use.
"I'm sorry. Please." She shouted.
The tears flowed down her face in heavy amounts as the guards refused to listen to her plea. Kael had commanded them to give her ten scars on the body, and they wouldn't stop until they did so.
Memories flooded her thoughts as she lay helplessly. Never in her life had she thought that Kael would be so cruel to her. She thought a happy ending was what she would get, bear his children and become his Luna. But here she was, beaten like a slave for a crime she didn't commit.
The last stroke landed on her back and as they released the chain from her hand, she collapsed weakly to the floor. The guards abandoned her in the room, locking the door.
She started another round of crying, refusing to be comforted. Not only was she feeling physical pain, but also emotional pain. Her entire body felt numb from the beating.
"Ella." She muttered, clenching her jaw in anger. She knew that Ella wasn't normal. Ella had used her powers on her during their confrontation and had openly told her that she'd destroy all the members of the pack. Fiona knew that Kael was in danger, but there was nothing she could do to save him. She couldn't even save herself.
Looking at the floor, there were drops of blood on the ground. It was obvious that they had wounded her in the process.
She raised her body to stand up. As she stood on her feet, her legs wobbled and her knees knocked against themselves, causing her to fall to the ground. She collapsed, accepting her fate. Her stomach rumbled, reminding her that she hadn't eaten food or drank water for the entire day.
She shook her head, unable to believe her plight. Then she cried out in agony, "Moon goddess, what have I done to deserve this?"
Felix, who had been beaten brutally by Kael, still lay on the bed. His wounds had begun healing and the sedative which the doctor gave him wore off, causing him to be wide awake.
The members of his pack came closer to him. "He is awake." One of his men said, alerting the others.
They supported him to sit upright on the bed. "You shouldn't worry at all. The man who did this to you would be punished." His brother informed him.
"Punished?" Felix repeated, wondering the punishment they could give to an alpha in his own pack.
"Yeah. Our pack would no longer invest in his business, that's his punishment."
"I see." Felix said, nodding his head.
He rubbed the beard on his chin and yawned loudly. He had done all these to save a helpless young woman who he felt a strange attraction with. It wasn't a mate attraction, it was something he couldn't explain.
"She must have gone back to her duties." He said to himself and stood up from the bed, wearing his jacket. As he walked out of the room, his brother and the men followed behind him.
"Where is dad?" He asked his brother.
"He already left the pack because important stuff came up. He told me to take care of you."
Felix was ready to leave the pack. He didn't bring a lot of belongings with him, so his luggage was small.
"What happened here?" He asked nonchalantly as they passed through a room that a maid was cleaning. There were broken pieces of glass all over the floor.
"I heard that it was a fight." One of his men responded, and Felix walked forwards, ignoring the scene.
They stepped closer to the car, and the driver pulled open the door to usher them inside. Felix sat comfortably and his brother and the two other men joined him.
"It's an irony isn't it?" His brother, Vonn, chuckled.
"What's that?"
"While you fought with the alpha, Luna and the servant who you saved also fought."
"I heard she's been locked in the dungeon."
The driver revved the engines, ready to move.
"Fiona?" Felix mumbled, his jaw slightly dropping at Vonn's revelation.
"Stop the car." He commanded, and the driver pressed the brakes, bringing the car to a halt.
He stepped out of the car with urgency and dashed into the packhouse. Vonn looked at him in confusion, unsure of why he was acting that way.
As he rushed into the house, he bumped into Kael, walking with his Luna, Ella.
"I'm so sorry about the fight." Kael apologized, bowing his head slowly. "It was my wolf and primal instincts that caused it." He felt pained that he had just lost a deal with the Furry Canines pack.
"I'm also sorry as well." Ella apologized, also bowing her head.
Felix paid little attention to what they said. His mind was fixed on only one thing.
"Do you have a dungeon?" He asked, causing Kael and Ella to be startled at his abrupt question.
"Yes." Kael replied, unsure of why Felix asked the question.
"I heard that Fiona is locked up there."
"Yes. That omega is very dangerous. She almost killed my Luna. She's evil and…"
"Take me to the dungeon. I want to see her." Felix ordered.
Ella and Kael exchanged perplexed glances. "Are you sure you want to see this dangerous criminal?" Kael asked him.
"Lead the way." Felix responded.
Kael took a deep breath, directing him in the direction of the dungeon. Kael was only doing his bidding so he could make peace with Felix's pack, in case they reconsider the deal. But Ella, she didn't like what was happening one bit. She hated Felix for trying to get close to Fiona.
Felix walked along with his brother, Vonn. They got to the dungeon and the guard opened the door to Fiona's cell.
Felix covered his mouth at the horrific sight of the blood droplets on the floor. The clothes at her back were torn, revealing several scars. Scars which were slow in healing.
He rushed towards her limp body and held her in his hands. She could barely make sense of her surroundings and her eyes were almost shut.
"What? Do you want her to die?" Felix flared up in anger as he held Fiona in his arms. "Is this how you treat your servants?" He shouted at both of them. "She is a werewolf, but not an animal for goodness sake."
"It's her punishment for trying to kill the Luna."
Felix stood up from the ground where he had crouched to Fiona's level.
"I have something for you." He announced, dipping his hand into his pocket.
