Fiona cried the entire night and barely had any sleep. She managed to comfort herself that she'd be leaving the pack soon and won't come across Kael, but no matter how hard she tried, she still felt the scars.
She remembered the days of her passionate love making with Kael. He always dotted her like his princess and it was nothing compared to what just happened this evening.
She managed to clean her tears, swearing to herself that she was going to report him for assault.
"But who would believe us?" Her wolf said to her. Fiona weighed the odds. If the tables could turn at her when she tried telling everyone that it was Kael who committed the crime, then the same thing could happen this time. No one would believe her, and she didn't have proof. In a world where low ranks were pushed aside, she didn't stand a chance.
She tried her best to sleep and as she closed her eyes, she opened them almost immediately as she looked at the door. She walked towards it and locked it, refusing to stand the risk of another person walking inside and harassing her.
After that, she drifted into sleep, with tears drying on her face.
A loud bang was heard at the door and it startled Fiona, causing her to jump out of bed.
"Come out you filthy omega." A familiar feminine voice shouted from outside.
Fiona's heart began beating fast and she stood up from the bed, squinting her eyes. It was morning already and the clock read, 7 am.
As she unlocked the door, a hand dragged her outside and pushed her towards the floor.
"I thought we allowed you to leave, but you're still causing trouble." Ella said angrily and she lifted her legs to kick Fiona.
Fiona moved away from her and stood to her feet. She pushed Ella out of the way and walked inside her room.
"Don't you dare walk away from me." Ella also stepped into the room.
"What do you want?" Fiona. said exhaustedly. She was leaving this morning and she knew Ella was trying to cause drama to prevent her from doing so.
"I want to know why you seduced my husband yesterday?" Ella said, pointing a finger at her as she spoke.
Fiona couldn't contain herself and ended up bursting into laughter. Ella looked at her like something had gone wrong in her brain. It was an irony to Fiona. Kael assaulted her, and went around saying that she seduced him. She looked at Ella who was confused and laughed louder.
"So, this is funny to you?" Whore!"
"Don't think of making any mistakes or else you and your husband would lose your ten million." Fiona warned in a stern voice.
Ella withdrew backwards, taken aback by Fiona's words.
"The fight isn't over. Watch your back." Ella said to her and walked out of the room, slamming the door behind her.
It felt to Fiona that Ella hated her for no good reason. Or was it just because I was in a relationship with Fiona? Well, she has him to herself and Fiona doesn't want her douchebag ex anymore. Even if he marked her, she had made up her mind to move to Furry Canines and forget about him.
A knock sounded on the door, drawing her out of her thoughts and resolutions.
"Can I come in?" Ashley asked from outside.
"If you like."
"The men from Furry Canines are ready to pick you. I hope you have packed everything."
"Yes." Fiona said dryly. "Just give me a minute to get dressed."
Ashley left the room just as Fiona requested. Fiona sighed, knowing that there was nothing for her to pack. She had only insisted on staying because she wanted to see if Kael would do anything to stop her from leaving him. She wanted to be sure if all the love he showered on her had truly vanquished.
And he had proven to her yesterday that he had no feelings towards her, maybe only lust and nothing else.
Looking outside, she could already see the car waiting to pick her. She wore her dress and applied light makeup on her body to cover the paleness that had sunk into her skin during this traumatic period.
As she stepped outside, the only thing she held in her hand was a black tiny bag. She barely had any properties after she went to prison. Owing to the fact that she was an orphan, she lacked a family to help her.
"Where are your things?" Felix asked as he walked closer to her.
"This is all." She said as she clutched the bag tightly.
"Alright. Let's go." He said to her and held her hand, leading her towards the door.
Kael emerged from a corner and as he passed, his gaze was fixed on Fiona. He said nothing and passed inside the packhouse. There was something about the way he looked at her, almost as if he didn't want to let her go.
Fiona entered into the car and the driver stepped on the engines, driving them away from the packhouse.
She was moving past her former life and embracing a life in a new place that she wasn't certain about. The ride was quiet. It was only her and Felix in the backseat, while the driver drove.
"You don't have to be worried about anything." Felix assured her as he noticed her restless demeanor.
She smiled lightly and tried to calm herself. They passed by trees and buildings, until they had covered half of the distance and all the familiar places she knew. There were buildings here which she didn't know existed in her pack. This was her first time getting to this far location. But they still hadn't left her pack.
"What does your pack look like?"
"What?" Felix asked as he didn't hear her properly.
"I mean, what does Furry Canines look like?"
"You'll definitely love it. It's going to be nothing like your pack." Felix assured her and she smiled while returning her eyes to the road and taking note of the beautiful landmarks.
She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw a sign board that read GOODBYE MYSTIC FURS, meaning that they had left her pack.
The borders were occupied by tall trees and dense forests and it seemed like not many people were occupying this area. There was also a construction site in front of them. The driver had to slow down for the men at the site to lift the barriers so that the car could pass.
And that was when she saw it. They had finally arrived at the Furry Canines pack. The name always sounded a bit awkward to her, but it was now that she knew never to judge a book by the name.
No wonder Felix had so much money to offer Kael. It looked like a developed city. There were drones around the area with roads that were designed like a scene from a movie.
"We are here." Felix said as they stopped in front of a magnificent building.
Before she could respond, her phone chimed, revealing a message that she least expected.
