Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Academy in Chaos – Love, Lies, and Lightning

After the Divine Storm

It had been three days since the sky cracked and Aureon the God of Light descended to the mortal world.

Three days since Kael stood his ground and Aria — the Goddess of Love and former divine fiancée — claimed him under Divine Bride Pact Law.

The Academy was still in shock.

Some students now feared Kael.

Others worshipped him like a fallen god reborn.

And some… began plotting.

Inside Team 13's Dorm: Girlstorm

"You kissed him while he was stunned?!"

Zara was pacing like a lioness.

"It was on the cheek," Aria said with a devilish smirk, sipping tea in Kael's lap. "You're welcome, by the way. I saved him."

"Saved him? You hijacked the divine trial!"

Lyra fumed. "You're a literal goddess. Isn't that cheating?"

Selene, analyzing soul fragments on her screen, sighed.

"Technically, divine marriages are binding unless countered by a mortal pact or rejected by the claimant. So… yes, she cheated. Legally."

Iris popped out of the shadow realm.

"She smells like flowers and broken hearts."

Kael?

He was just staring out the window, wondering if having goddesses fighting over him was more annoying than being executed.

New Academy Rule: No Gods Allowed

After Aureon's departure, the Headmaster issued an emergency decree:

"No divine-level interference on school grounds. No godly combat. No heavenly matchmaking."

Aria simply winked at Kael.

"Guess we'll have to keep our divine activities… private."

Meanwhile: A New Arc Begins – The Lightning Class Exchange

Suddenly, the Academy's loudspeaker boomed:

"Attention all students. As part of the Intercontinental Exchange Program, the Lightning Academy of Arclis will be arriving today!"

The Lightning Academy — a rival institution that trained elite elementalists, known for speed, power, and brutal competitive culture.

"The exchange tournament begins in three days. All top-tier teams are to report."

Selene looked up from her tablet.

"Their students have a reputation for being… violent. We should be ready."

"Let them come," Zara cracked her knuckles. "I haven't punched anyone from a different country yet."

Kael nodded.

But he felt something in the air.

A storm was coming — not just weather, but fate.

Enter the Lightning Academy

A thunderclap split the sky as six students descended from a stormcloud above the campus.

Their leader stood tall with silver hair crackling with static. His eyes were lightning-blue, and behind him floated two divine relics shaped like thunderbolts.

"So this is the academy hiding the broken god."

Kael met his gaze.

"And you must be another arrogant idiot blessed by someone I used to babysit."

The crowd went silent.

Then laughter erupted.

From the silver-haired girl beside the Lightning leader.

New Harem Girl Appears: Rayna – The Thunderstorm Witch

With a long black braid, storm-colored eyes, and an enchanted whip of electricity coiled around her hip, Rayna smirked at Kael.

"You're funnier than they said."

"And you're not what I expected from Arclis," Kael replied.

"That's because I don't serve the gods," she said. "I hunt them."

Everyone blinked.

Zara: "Wait… did she just—"Lyra: "A godslayer?"Aria: interested look intensifies

Rayna flicked her braid and walked toward Kael, stopping just inches away.

"I'm joining your team for the tournament. Try to keep up, Prince."

Kael's Thoughts (Inner Monologue)

Another one?

And she's a god hunter? That could be… useful. Or dangerous. Or both.

But she saw me… and didn't kneel. Didn't fear me. That's rare.

Tournament Tease: Rival Sparks

That night, Kael stood in the courtyard, staring up at the lightning clouds above.

Rayna joined him, resting her arm on his shoulder.

"I know what you are, you know."

"Do you?"

"I know you're not what the gods say. That you didn't fall — you jumped."

Kael turned slowly.

"Why do you care?"

"Because I like rebels," she whispered. "Especially powerful ones."

From the shadows, Lunaria watched. So did Aria.So did the other girls.

The storm of rivalry had officially begun.
