Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Whispers of a Goddess and the Transfer Student’s Secret

The Return from the Ruins

After the events at the Forbidden Ruin, Team 13 was silent.

Kael had changed.

He wasn't louder. He didn't boast.

But everyone felt it — the way the air grew still around him, how mana shimmered unnaturally near his presence, how even the instructors looked at him twice.

Zara stayed closer to him now, more protective.

Lyra kept challenging him to duels, which he always refused.

Aeris shadowed his movements — never more than ten steps away.

Selene began compiling ancient texts on lost gods.

And Iris?

"Your soul is waking up, Kael," she whispered in his ear."And when it fully does… the gods will send hunters."

Enter: The Silver-Tongued Tempest

One week later, a new student transferred into the Royal Academy.

Her name: Veyra Moonvale.

An elite from the Northern Ice Kingdom. Silver hair that fell to her waist, eyes the color of arctic moonlight, and a voice like poetry wrapped in danger.

The moment she walked into class, she ignored the nobles…

…and walked straight up to Kael.

"So it's you," she said, her voice low.

Zara stood up immediately, fists clenched.

Lyra narrowed her eyes.Aeris placed a hand on her blade.

"Have we met?" Kael asked calmly.

She smiled.

"Not in this life."

Kael's Dream

That night, Kael dreamed.

But it wasn't a dream.

He stood in a field of broken stars.

Before him stood Veyra — but not as a student.

As a goddess.

The Goddess of Storms and Judgment.

And his sworn enemy in the past life.

"We were enemies," she said softly."But you saved me when the other gods turned their blades."

Kael's hands trembled.

He remembered.

Her betrayal.

Her tears.

His mercy.

"Why are you here now?" he asked.

"To see if you're still you."

Tensions Rise

Rumors spread again.

"The new girl is stronger than half the faculty!"

"Did you see her aura clash with Kael's during sparring?"

"She's… courting him?"

Zara and Lyra nearly exploded.

Aeris simply trained harder.

Selene asked Kael, plainly, if he was collecting goddesses.

"You keep picking up women with heavenly destinies. It's statistically absurd."

Kael didn't answer.

Theft in the Night

That same week, tragedy struck.

The divine fragment recovered from the Forbidden Ruins…

Was stolen.

By someone inside the Academy.

The Headmaster was furious.Security was tightened.

And Kael was summoned to the Moon Tower.

"I know it was meant for you," the Headmaster said."If another god touches it… the balance could break."

"Then we better find it fast," Kael replied.

His eyes burned with determination.

A New Arc Begins: The School Tournament

To distract the students and maintain peace, the Royal Academy Tournament was announced.

A month-long event where dorms would battle, showcase talent, and rise in rank.

But for Kael and his team?

This wasn't about glory.

It was about survival.

Because whoever stole the fragment…

Was using the tournament to test it.

And that meant gods were about to bleed again.
