A group of warriors head off into a cave as their leader guides them through. Their Lord has instructed them with cleansing this cave from the profane spirits that haunt the nearby forest.
"Keep your guards up, there could be anything in this cave.", says the leader.
They travel further down encountering very few spirits until they reach the bottom where the only light present are the light from the crystals. "Roman, I think they're plotting something" says one of the soldiers. Just then, one of the soldiers gets picked up by a mysterious force and gets consumed. It reveals itself to be a dark spirit amalgamation as three others emerge.
Blood gets shed as the knights get picked off one by one. Roman pulls something out of his pouch, drops his sword and coats his fists in a powder like substance. His fists illuminate as he lunges upward at one at one of the beasts, landing above it as he comes down like a missile with his hands and completely destroys the amalgamation. When he lands, he quickly lunges toward another one of the, cutting it in half.
He sees a rapidly approaching fireball in the distance, as it lands it completely goes through the head of one of the shadows. "Raymond, how did you find me? Actually, never mind." They make quick work of the other amalgamations as Roman examines the deaths of his "comrades" when they're done. "To answer you're question, the King sort of had me on standby for another incident like this, but it looks like you could've handled it by yourself."
"You know, sometimes I feel like he puts his men on the line on purpose.", says Roman. "Well he mainly does it to those who appear unloyal or are unwilling to protect the throne." "That maybe so but just keep your eyes peeled, for you'll never know"
They return to the King as they explain what happened in the cave. "Well, as long as the threat is neutralized, we should be safe. Forgive me for this boys but..."
