That's it?
That's the miraculous product?
~Pfft.
Several people laughed and mocked the enthusiastic people after seeing the so-called product. Some were even glad that they withdrew their money now before it was too late.
"I'm dead! I'm dead!... So our dear genius wants to make us rich by selling water in containers and you all still think you'll be able to make something off your investments?"
"Bahahahaha~ the day money comes out of this will be the seas will all dry up!"
As people mocked and taunted, Gort slowly looked to Old Axe, Hendo, and several other parents he hired.
Most people in the village were farmers, except for a few. So everyone had a fairly good understanding of growing and cultivating vegetables, wheat and other items.
For a start, he chose to hire 12 people to start cultivating the first 2 items he had in mind.
With that said, he gave the signal to the newly hired guard, Uncle Rufung, a retired military man from their village.
He sustained a heavy injury in his prime, causing him to leave the army earlier than expected. Since then, he returned to the village and married a wife. Now, he had a son of 7, who was a very lively boy.
Uncle Rufung was like a hero around these parts. He has protected villagers and even fought stray wolves off too.
When he went to Uncle Rufung a week ago, the guy didn't hesitate at all. But maybe it was his imagination, but he always felt that Rufung could see through his thoughts, knowing he had a greater agenda up his sleeves.
Uncle Rufung also bought 7 shares—That's 7,000 Gwins!
Gort was also happy to see Rufung take this job seriously, You have to know that immediately after accepting the job, he requested for all personnel with access in and out of the premises. He also began training the young boys hired for the guard positions too.
By 6 AM, they would gather around the Company and train heavily.
Then, they would have their bath within the company's locker room. Those who did the night shift will return, and those for the day shift stayed. Even if you're not scheduled to work today, you must still come for morning training 5 days a week!
"Here you go, one for each of you." Rufung handed them temporary access cards. One might say… hey, why do you need an access card for such a small greenhouse?"
And for that, Gort would just say:… Heh.
Although small, he had spared no expenses to make it highly secure.
The gates were only for vehicles to pass through and fro. So since they were on foot, they had to use another special door on the side which led them straight to the security hall within the space.
Don't think you can go through with an access card or proof of employment.
[Please Tap card here]
Well, they did as told, tapping their card on the machine gates with rotating crossbars on them.
If the access card is faulty, a red light will show. If not, it'll turn green and the bars will rotate, allowing just one person to get through at a time.
For some reason, everyone felt the small hairs across their bodies stand on their ends.
They had to admit that their money was put to good use in securing this place… But is it truly worth it?
Following that, they passed through a crude scanner that checked the items they carried on their person.
Why the use of the word 'crude?'—This was because Gort had built the machine all by himself. Finding the parts wasn't so easy. But a trip to an old junk shipyard not too far from here, caused him to find treasures discarded as trash.
Soon enough, the gang stepped out of the security room and headed straight for the Greenhouse on the right twin peak. There, they were shown their lockers that already had overalls and safety wear with their names on them.
The cafeteria and kitchen were also large. Gort never skipped out on this, knowing that the number of employees will eventually rise in the future.
Wearing his gloves, overalls, and safety boots to join in on the land cultivation. And although disbelieving, these parents followed his instructions day by day without fail, spraying the special fertilizers on the planted seeds. They were told to use the normal planting methods they knew of, but had to water these seeds with the fertilizer every 7 hours during the daytime.
They thought it would take weeks and even months to see results. So who can tell them why after only 3 days, the entire region they planted was now covered with watermelons, tomatoes, and massive ginseng sticks?
And that's not all. The flowers planted along the walking paths also sprung beautifully, and even the grass here was like that from a heavenly plain.
Ah–
Several parents fell on their butts with trembling hands and eyes wide open in disbelief.
When, why, who, where… How can this be?
How can everything change overnight like this?
Sorcery! What sort of fictional sorcery was this? Who can tell them, farmers, true lovers of the land, how such a thing had come to pass?
