The villagers now realized that they needed to find the source of Scarecrow's evil magic in order to permanently stop him. The local chief, Pandit Shivprasad, ventured out for the ruins with a few courageous young men.
Near the Edge of the Ruins
Outside the hamlet, close to a thick forest, were the ruins. Even birds did not perch on the nearby trees, and no one had visited in years. The air grew heavy and frigid as the peasants arrived. Ash heaps littered the wreckage, and strange figures were carved into the shattered walls.
Panditji started reciting mantras, and as soon as he finished the first one, he heard faint murmurs coming from the ruins' walls.The Secret Room
The people discovered a broken door leading into darkness when they entered the ruins. A big room was revealed when someone had the guts to shine a torch inside. The room's walls were covered in strange markings, and a big round stone stood in the middle.
"This is where Scarecrow carried out his first tantric ritual," Kashi Nath remarked in a shaky voice. This is where his power comes from.
The air in the room started to spin as soon as he uttered this, and a heavy voice yelled, "How dare you go in here? Your demise is now assured.
The Attack of an Unknown Force
Abruptly, dust began to fall from the walls and the stones inside the room started to tremble. The locals sensed the presence of an unseen force. Panditji started reciting mantras quickly, but the torches went out after a loud jolt.
Someone heard a scream in the dark. Suddenly, Shambhu, a young villager, leaped into the air and landed in a room corner. His face was marked with extensive nail art.
Fearful, the peasants withdrew. "We must not be afraid," Panditji stated after taking a deep breath. The spirit of Scarecrow is attempting to stop us. However, our town will never be able to live in peace if we give up."
The Following Action
The community made the decision to permanently demolish this location. However, how? Would the mantras of Panditji be effective? Or had Scarecrow's strength grown to the point where he could not be stopped?
What comes next? Can the people burn these ruins down and eliminate Scarecrow's power? Or will they fall prey to this demonic entity themselves?
