I was walking towards the scent without giving a damn about my surroundings or anyone who was telling me to stop. I couldn't stop. I need to find the wolf who has this scent! I need to find my mate.
But as I was walking towards the scent, it suddenly vanished, making me stop in my way to it.
"What the fuck was that?!" Shadow asked.
"I don't know. Why did they run away? Do you think our mate got our scent too?" I asked a very stupid question.
"I want to change my human! This one is too stupid. Of course, they got our scent, dumbhead. But my question is, why did they run off after they got our scent? Did you do something stupid to someone else?"
"Maybe our mate is a rogue." As soon as I said this, there was silence. Shadow did not say a word.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" a angry voice from behind me said. I jumped into my place and turned around with a fast heartbeat.
"Dad," I said in relief and patted my heart, for it to calm down. Why did I not get his scent?
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" he asked again.
"The list is long. Does he have time?" I almost rolled my eyes at Shadow's comment.
"What happened?" I asked, ignoring Shadow's comment.
"Leo," one of the alphas who was patrolling with me. "Said that you started walking in the woods like an idiot and ignored his calls! I came here as soon as I heard this. No one could leave their position. What the fuck happened?!"
"I need to talk to you and Mom," was all I said to make his angry expression turn serious.
"Let's go, now. I will have someone else cover for you."
"Thank you."
In the pack house,
In my father's cabin,
Dad, Mom, and I were sitting on the couch with my parents in front of me, with a worried and serious expression.
"What is it, son? What could be so urgent that you wanted to talk to us now?" Mom asked with a worried tone.
"And so stupid that you walked into the middle of the woods ignoring your pack mate's alerts."
"I found my wolf, and they may be a rogue," and silence...
"Good job, fucker! You just couldn't wait till we were sure if our mate is a rogue or not! I ain't dealing with this but if they tell us to reject our mate, I am taking over" Shadow insulted and warned me.
