Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Stella's POV

I was walking around in the forest, after dark, because I was not able to sleep. Guess insomnia is a buddy of a rogue, until death gives a rogue the peace of eternal sleep.

I was walking around the forest, trying to find some peace, when I stopped mid-step. I got a scent that I dreaded, the scent that I never wanted to smell even once in my life. The scent of a mate... The sweet and addictive smell of my mate.

"I want to see who our mate is," my wolf, Haku, said.

"I have no interest in knowing who our mate is, Haku" I said while trying to walk backwards and go back to the way I came from but my feet won't move.

"Oh, relax. You know he hasn't even smelled us. Our senses are just stronger because we are rogues," I can feel Haku roll her eyes.

I looked around trying to guess what pack are we near and when I figured it out, I was terrified and happy to know that my mate belongs to this pack.

"Do you realize which pack is this? What pack borders are we around?" I asked Haku.

"The Ever Green Pack. I know. What's the big deal? We are just trying to get a glimpse of our mate."

"Yes, we are, but the problem is, this pack hates rogue, and hello? We are one. I have fought everyone on my way and survived the worst to die by the hand of my mate because the moon goddess decided so." I will not die by the hand of my mate. "And you know what's the worst, Haku?"

"What? That he belongs to the Ever Green pack?"

"No, that we don't know how our mate will treat us. We have seen far too many things and survived far too much to trust an alpha, again, because the moon goddess said so."

Haku was silent for a good few minutes while I was trying to regain the control my body back which is moving towards the scent like it's a moth to the flame and I refuse to be the moth.

"Turn around," Haku said, and that's when I got control of my body back.

"I don't want to go through the same things again. We won't make the same mistake again."

"Thank you, Haku," I told and turned around, sprinting back to the way I came from

Memory 1

I was running, I was running barefoot in the forest. I have nothing on me except the clothes I am wearing, but I am never going back to the hell. Never.
