Synopsis
Stella has lived as a rogue omega since her early teens—the day her pack discovered who she truly was and kicked her out of the pack. She was adopted and taken care of by a rogue alpha couple who raised her like their own. For years, she survived in the shadows until the only family she had was taken from her by other rogues. Now alone, she’s hardened, dangerous, and everything an omega isn’t supposed to be. Marcus is the future Head Alpha—born and raised in one of the most powerful and progressive packs, where omegas are treated with respect. But there’s one rule his pack will never break: No mercy for rogues. When rumors spread of a feared rogue lurking near their borders, Marcus prepares to eliminate the threat. But what he finds is not a monster—it's an omega with more strength and scars than she should ever carry. But the worst of all, she just might be his mate.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Marcus's POV,

I was in Dad's office with his beta, and the tension in the room could be cut with a knife, which is my mother. The moment she walked into the office, a smile appeared on my Dad's face, and he pulled Mom in his arms and hugged her like he hadn't seen her in weeks, which was a lie because we had just seen her during lunch, which was like an hour ago.

"What's with the tension in the room? Is something wrong?" she said, looking at our faces.

"There have been a lot of rogue sightings around the pack border," I answered her question. Her face turned into fury, I was kind of scared of my mother being angry. She is not a nice woman when she is furious.

"How come? Don't we have a lot of alphas and betas patrolling around?" The inner Luna of my mother has been awoken, and she is not a nice person to rogues or anyone who threatens her pack when she is awoken. I have seen it first-hand, and that was the day I understood why Dad was scared of her anger.

"We do, but for some reason, they have increased. We are killing any rogues in sight, Mom."

"Then why are they increasing in number?!"

"There is a rumor," my Dad's beta said. Those were the first words he had said since we came into Dad's office. "There is a rumor," he pauses dramatically.

"What rumor?" I asked impatiently about his dramatic talk. I hate his dramatic talks.

"A rumor that the most feared rogue is in the area or near the area."

"The most feared rogue?" I asked with a disbelief face.

"Yes, there is a rumor that an alpha rogue couple adopted another abandoned rogue pup and raised them in the wild."

"There are a lot of incidents like that, Roy," Dad said with a sigh.

"The female alpha was someone powerful, and the male alpha had always been a rogue; he was kicked out when he was an early teenager," Roy said.

"How do you know these things?" My mother asked, and honestly, I am wondering the same. How does he know these things? Does he have some connections or something?

"There are nice rogues too." That was all he said to send Mom, Dad, and me into shock.

"Nice rogues you say?" I asked and he nodded like he just said the most common thing.

"There are not a lot of nice rogues, but a very few rogues are nice."

"Okay, let's just say we believe every word you just said," Dad said. "So, does that mean their adopted child is the reason why there are so many rogues around our pack? You said the most feared rogue is around our pack."

"I said, in the area, but I never mentioned which area," Roy smiled like he just said something useful. I am so close to smacking his head because he speaks like he is in some human-made drama character, so dramatic and stupid. If it weren't for his skills, then he would have never become a beta.

"Which area the said rogue is in then?!" I am getting kind of aggressive now and I don't care. I hate suspense.

"The rogue must not be that far away from our area, but not that close either, because if the rogues are trying to attack our pack, that means that the rogue is around."

"Can you speak in a language that everyone can understand and not just your head, Roy?"

He sighed dramatically, "The useless rogues are trying to attack our pack because they want either a shelter or a release of their frustration, because when the feared rogue is in any area, then she kind of has control over a lot of things."

"So, they want our omegas to release their frustration?" Mom asked through gritted teeth.

"Kind of"

"What can we do to prevent that?" she asked.

"Kill them on sight, darling, and don't worry, we are doing that," Dad said and pecked her right cheek, which made her smile. I wish to have love like them with my mate, wherever she might be.

I got up from my seat, gaining their attention.

"It's my turn to patrol tonight."

"Good luck and come back covered in the blood of rogues who dare to hurt our pack," Mom said with an evil smile, making me nod immediately. I never kid when I say she is a scary woman.

"Without a doubt, Mom," I tell her, turning to Roy, "Do they really only want our omegas, or is there another reason?"

"I am not saying it's only that, it's all the reasons normally a rogue would dare to try to enter our territory. There are more of their sightings because rogues from a few other areas are also here." I nod at his explanation and leave Dad's office, preparing for patrol.
