Chapter 37 - Chapter 37 Ninja of The Hand

Chapter 37 Ninja of The Hand

"Do you think he's lying to us?" Gwen asked worriedly.

"Don't know." Yang Le replied frankly.

Based on the intelligence Matt provided, Yang Le and Gwen arrived at a building on the edge of New York, observing a Warehouse not far from this building. According to Matt, this Warehouse was a Hideout of The Hand.

"Do you think as soon as we go in, there will be hundreds of Ninjas waiting to chop us into pieces?" Gwen joked, voicing a terrifying guess, possibly trying to scare Yang Le.

"Aren't you afraid?"

"If there really are hundreds of Ninjas, then it means we've come to the right place, and I might even be happy." After saying that, Yang Le transformed into Big Chill, spread his wings, and flew towards the Warehouse.

"Okay, cool guy." Gwen shot out Web, wrapped it around Yang Le's feet, and followed him, flying towards the Warehouse together.

Arriving at the Warehouse Gate, Gwen observed the surroundings. She noticed that weeds and grass had grown in the cracks of the walls and ground, obviously indicating that no one had cleaned it for a long time. Even the Warehouse Gate was covered in red rust.

"How are we going to get in? Climb through a window? Or go through the front Gate? Do you need me to open the Gate?" Gwen said, striking a strongman pose, showing off the meager Muscle on her Arm.

Of course, this slender Arm could physically punch a cow to death.

"We have a simpler method." Yang Le retracted his wings, wrapping them around his Body, then came to the Warehouse Gate and extended a Finger to poke at the Gate.

Big Chill's claws pierced through the rusty red Metal Door without any resistance. Yang Le quickly cut open a person-sized opening in the Metal Door.

Although Big Chill's main attack method is Ice Breath, their sharp teeth and claws are equally formidable. After all, Big Chill is a Race that considers various metals as Staple Food. This level of Metal Door is no different from tofu in their eyes.

Yang Le kicked out with his foot, knocking down the cut-out iron sheet. A person-sized Passage appeared in front of the two.

"I thought our Mission was to sneak in? Now everyone in the World knows we're here." Gwen complained, hearing the sound of the iron sheet falling to the Ground.

"Normally, when the situation inside is unclear, infiltration is definitely the best approach, but I hate those twists and turns. In Game, my least favorite levels are stealth levels. By the way, I really like Assassin's Creed, but these aren't the main issues."

Yang Le pointed to the Omnitrix on his chest, the meaning self-evident: the Omnitrix's Transformation Time is almost up.

'Soon, in two more days, the decoding will be complete, and then I can play with the cracked version of the Omnitrix.' Yang Le comforted himself in his Thought.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Gwen looked at Yang Le, who was visibly getting impatient, and took the lead to walk into the Warehouse.

The Warehouse was pitch black, with only a sliver of moonlight filtering in from the high windows. The faint moonlight obviously couldn't provide illumination. Fortunately, neither Yang Le nor Gwen needed illumination.

Gwen relied on the Night Vision Device function of her Mask lenses, one of the small functions Yang Le added. As a Hero of the night, not being able to see in the dark was obviously inappropriate.

Yang Le, on the other hand, relied on Big Chill's powerful biological functions. This level of darkness couldn't affect him.

'Humans really do have their limits.' The more times he transformed into an Alien Hero, the more Yang Le felt this way. Humans really have no advantage at all in front of these Races.

"We're not alone here, Ghost." Gwen lowered her Body and became vigilant of her surroundings. Ghost was Yang Le's codename, agreed upon by Gwen and Yang Le beforehand. By the way, Gwen's codename was Spider.

"My head has been faintly aching ever since we came in, it should be that Spider-Sense you mentioned acting up."

"Get ready to fight, Spider. This is your debut."

Perhaps seeing the two of them enter a state of alert, Ninjas wearing scarlet Ninja uniforms emerged from the shadows from all directions, places where normal people couldn't hide at all.

"To have so many spectators for a newcomer's debut, I'm truly honored."

Yang Le had told Gwen that if she felt nervous, she could use witty remarks to ease the tension, and at the same time, she could use language to disrupt the enemy's mentality. That's right, it was the classic Spider-Man battle tactic.

"The left side is yours, the right side is mine, don't hold back. They are all Assassins who are battle-hardened and unafraid of death. You have no room to hold back." Yang Le spread his wings and flew into mid-air, instructing Gwen.

"Don't worry, I'll help you if you can't hold on."

"That's hard to say, maybe I'll be faster than you." Gwen's personality obviously wouldn't allow her to show weakness, but before she could retort, the Spider-Sense bombarded her Brain like a fascia gun.

"Careful!"

That's right, the Ninjas couldn't just stand there dumbfounded watching Gwen and her flirtatious banter. A Ninja had already quietly approached Yang Le's head, raised his Ninja Sword, and descended from the sky, wanting to kill Yang Le in mid-air with a single strike.

Clearly, even after Gwen's reminder, Yang Le still didn't dodge or evade. Just as the Ninja thought he was about to succeed, something unexpected happened.

The Ninja's Ninja Sword, along with himself, passed right through Yang Le's Body. Not only that, but when the Ninja passed through Yang Le's Body, a bone-chilling Chill instantly swept through his entire Body. Before he could react, he lost consciousness.

At the same time, an ice sculpture crashed heavily to the Ground, shattering into pieces in front of everyone.

Fragmented ice blocks rolled to Gwen's feet. With the help of the Night Vision Device and superhuman dynamic vision, she clearly witnessed the process of the human body fragments in the ice blocks slowly turning into ashes.

"Ugh!" Gwen covered her mouth with her hand through her Mask. This was the first time she had seen such a bloody Scene, and she almost threw up.

The Ninja she had dealt with alone had immediately turned to ashes after drinking the Poison. Coupled with the extreme emotional changes from Anger to grief, she hadn't had any violent reactions.

"Be careful not to vomit in your Mask, vomit might suffocate you." Big Chill's Thought influenced Yang Le, preventing him from being like Gwen.

The surrounding Ninjas were also afraid to step forward because of their comrade's tragic death and because they were unclear about Big Chill's Ability.

They were fearless, but that didn't mean they would mindlessly rush forward to die. The Hand's Ninjas weren't respawning mobs.

Yang Le looked at the Ninjas around him, who were eyeing them like tigers, ready to seize an opportunity to strike, but his mouth was still comforting Gwen, who was gagging.

"You need to adapt to all of this as soon as possible, Spider, not only for yourself, but also for the people you want to protect."

"Cough! I know." Gwen bit her tongue, the taste of rust filling her mouth. The sharp pain pulled her Thoughts back.

"I will adapt as soon as possible."
