Chapter 36 - 36

"Good evening, Mr. Murdock."

Matt nodded, then walked into the Elevator with the help of two Security Guard.

One of the younger Security Guard wanted to step forward to help, but was stopped by his companion, watching Matt swipe his card before the Elevator doors slowly closed.

"I thought he would need my help," the younger Security Guard said.

His companion patted him on the shoulder and said, "Don't do anything unnecessary."

After speaking, he turned around and went back to his post.

The Elevator shook slightly, accompanied by the Elevator's chime, Matt walked out of the Elevator and returned to his Home.

As a blind person, Matt didn't need the Electric Light, after all, it was his Home, and he easily came to the Wine Cabinet in the dark.

Pulling out the Cork, and feeling for two Cups, Matt poured wine while speaking.

"I thought you were going to hide for a while longer."

Standing not far behind Matt, Gwen, who was just about to speak, was startled.

"You know I'm here?"

"I found you as soon as I got Home." At this time, Matt had already finished pouring the Red Wine, and he handed one of the Cups towards Gwen's direction.

"If you don't mind, we can have a drink and chat slowly, or let me fulfill my hospitality as the host."

Matt had a smile on the corner of his mouth, exactly the same as in the Newspaper, it was the composure of a victor, as if everything was under his control.

"It seems Lawyer Murdock doesn't welcome me."

Matt got Goosebumps all over his body, the Cup in his hand even creaked from his grip, his footsteps changed, and he took a few steps back, away from the suddenly appearing ethereal Sound.

"This really makes me sad, it seems I wasn't on Lawyer Murdock's invitation list."

Yang Le's voice, transformed into Big Chill, was ethereal like a ghost, slowly entering Matt's ears.

"To be precise, both of you should be uninvited guests." Matt wiped the fine sweat from his forehead. "But not figuring out the number of guests is really embarrassing for me."

Loosening his tie, Matt still couldn't figure out how Yang Le bypassed his Senses and suddenly appeared beside him. If Yang Le hadn't spoken, Matt might not have even noticed him.

The powerful Senses that had protected him for decades couldn't give him a sense of security at this time, he seemed to have returned to the darkness of his childhood again.

Seeing the flustered Matt, Yang Le knew that the first step of the Plan was completed. As a Lawyer, Matt's psychological defenses were very strong. Under normal circumstances, it would be difficult for him and Gwen to get the Intelligence they wanted from him.

So the primary goal was to make a hole in his psychological defenses and destroy his confidence.

And the method Yang Le chose was also very simple, directly confront his powerful Senses, and strike at the Ability he relied on for survival. To achieve this, Big Chill was undoubtedly the most suitable.

Matt's Senses, which were even more powerful than radar, could make anything have nowhere to hide. He could rely on his Four Senses other than sight to cooperate and build a 3D Image in his mind, the range of which could even encompass several Blocks.

That's why Matt could discover Gwen immediately, probably he had already discovered her in the Elevator.

However, Big Chill was obviously his nemesis. Big Chill's Phase Control Ability could allow him to hide in another dimension, not in the same World. Matt's Four Senses, which he relied on for survival, naturally couldn't capture Yang Le. In other words, as long as Yang Le controlled his own coldness and didn't freeze Matt, then Matt would not be able to discover him even to death.

"We have no malice, Lawyer Murdock." Yang Le deactivated his Phase Control Ability, allowing Matt to sense his position. "We just have some small questions we hope to ask Lawyer Murdock."

"What questions? If I know, I will definitely tell you everything." Matt was secretly on guard, in stark contrast to his initial ease.

"The Hand," Gwen said from the side. "Do you have any Clue about them?"

'Wow! Then you've really come to the right place, after all, the leader of The Hand is right here.' Matt thought to himself calmly.

Although he didn't know how they found out about his relationship with The Hand, it was clear that they didn't know that he was the leader of The Hand.

'Without knowing the other party's purpose, it's obviously better to divert the trouble.'

Matt asked calmly, "The Hand? It sounds a bit familiar, are you their enemies?"

"I have to remind you, Lawyer Murdock," Yang Le said faintly from the side.

"Don't ask questions you shouldn't ask."

"OK! OK! I need to look through my Information. I hope you don't hurt me, after all, I'm just a blind man."

"An ordinary blind man wouldn't be able to discover me," Gwen said abruptly from the side, obviously still bothered by being discovered immediately.

Earlier, before coming, Yang Le had made a bet with her, betting on whether she would be discovered by Matt immediately, betting on breakfast the next day. Gwen felt that Yang Le was underestimating her and confidently accepted the bet.

"Having been blind for decades, of course there will be some differences. Isn't there an old Chinese saying, 'Practice makes perfect'?"

Matt raised his hands to signal Yang Le and Gwen to calm down, then groped his way into the Room next door and began searching on the Table.

Gwen walked to Yang Le's side and touched Yang Le's Finger. This was what they had discussed before coming. They must remind each other before communicating. Yang Le didn't dare to conspire loudly in front of someone whose ears could hear Sounds from several Blocks away.

Yang Le put his Finger to his mouth, signaling Gwen not to speak first, and then quietly watched Matt dawdling in the Room.

Matt in the Room naturally noticed the interaction between Yang Le and Gwen. He waited for a while and found that the two of them did not speak except for some physical movements, and couldn't help but feel a little regretful.

At the same time, he also felt a trace of Fear, why did the other party know so much about him? This level of understanding even exceeded that of his boss, Kingpin.

Pressing the doubts and Fear to the bottom of his heart, Matt groped his way out of the Room again.

"I just looked up some Information. According to my Information, The Hand is a Cult-like Assassin Organization. To be honest, why didn't I notice them earlier? These Cult guys are best to exploit."

While throwing out some unimportant Information, Matt did not forget to emphasize his Identity, a black-hearted Lawyer.

Gwen under the Mask frowned in disgust. She really found it hard to connect the Hero Yang Le spoke of with the bastard in front of her who disregarded human life.

"We already know these things, I hope you can bring me something different." Yang Le slowly exhaled some cold air from his mouth, the taste of threat was self-evident.

"Don't get excited, don't get excited, I have some Intelligence here that you will definitely be interested in." Matt quickly raised his hands, gave a French military salute, the cold air around him made him shiver like a drowned Quail.

"I know a Hideout of theirs!"
