"You've learned some new moves," Hansu said, eyes focused on me.

I was already drenched in sweat—he'd kept me on my feet the entire spar.

Maybe I should—

Boom!

"Urgh—" I grunted as his kick slammed into my jaw.

Pain exploded across my face. My jaw felt like it had turned to lead, but I rolled back, instinct kicking in.

An axe kick barely missed me. I countered with a sharp blow aimed at his liver—but of course, he blocked it with his elbow.

"Woohoo! Go on, Hansu!" Jincheol's voice echoed from the sidelines.

I didn't even glance his way. Hansu was already on me again.

Blocking his attacks, I steadied my breathing. My eyes sharpened, nerves quieting down.

I haven't had a real fight in a while… These current Kings couldn't push me… but Hansu? He might just help me break through.

A wide grin spread across my face before I even realized it.

Dodging another kick, I stepped back to create distance.

What was my path?

My true path? I wasn't sure.

But the path of the Copy… I knew that well.

Take inspiration. Adapt. Add it to my skillset. Don't copy—master it. Make it mine.

I'd already copied Taesoo, Jichang, and Gongseob.

Now… Hansu.

I surged forward, legs launching me like a bullet.

.

.

.

Hansu watched as Apollo came at him with full force.

It was hard to believe that this was still a student—one who hadn't even graduated yet.

If these are the students… what kind of monsters are walking around Seoul?

He could follow Apollo's movements, but still chose to delay his reaction.

Apollo snapped his leg outward, using its full extension to generate power for the strike.

Hansu responded with his own roundhouse—shin met shin.

Pain lanced up Apollo's leg, but he held the scream in.

Hansu twisted his body, aiming a brutal back kick—

—but Apollo shifted again.

'Iron Fortress.'

He braced his core. Hansu could tell—Apollo's defense had leveled up.

Boom!

The kick landed with a deep, thunderous crack. But Apollo was done defending.

He leapt high, spinning midair.

"Handle this, Sensei."

He spun like a damn beyblade, charging in with Hansu's own technique—except modified.

More force, more velocity—and a whip-like snap at the end.

Unpredictable.

Hansu's eyes gleamed.

He really made it his own.

"I guess you do deserve to see it, Apollo."

A proud smile played on his lips as he shifted stance—

One that made Apollo's eyes widen.

That's—!

Kyokushin Karate.

He remembered that style from the demon who once used it.

Apollo's kick crashed down—

—but Hansu took it head-on, body like steel.

Then—Bang!

"Kyokushin Karate – Straight Punch."

Apollo braced again with Iron Fortress, but it didn't matter. The raw power launched him like a ragdoll.

He slammed into a tree, skidding to a halt with blood trailing behind him.

Hot, warm blood.

I didn't expect to get wrecked this bad by a single punch, Apollo admitted silently.

Of every fighter he'd ever faced—Hansu was the strongest.

And Hansu wasn't done.

He was already approaching, another punch cocked back, this time aimed at Apollo's stomach.

Apollo tried to redirect the force using Jichang's technique—

But the gap in strength made it pointless.

Boom!

He crashed headfirst into another tree. Coughing blood, he dropped to his knees.

His body screamed at him to give up.

But he didn't.

Shakily, he raised his head—

Hansu was still walking toward him. Calm. Relentless.

Like a demon descending from hell.

A memory flashed through Apollo's mind. A Reddit post, of all things.

"What's the most important thing for a fighter in Lookism?"

Lots of answers.

But one stood out.

"Talent, genes… they all fall short of sheer will.

As long as a fighter has belief in himself—

And doesn't bow to adversity—

He'll grow."

Examples of Jack, Eli Jang…

Apollo clenched his fists.

He stood. Slowly.

Eyes locked with Hansu.

He hadn't surrendered.

Then—he vanished.

Reappeared beside Hansu—

Bang!

A kick snapped toward his face—then changed direction midair.

Brazilian Kick.

Before Hansu could recover, another strike flew toward his legs—

He blocked it—only for Apollo to redirect it at his head.

Question Mark Kick.

But Hansu saw through it. Dodged—then retaliated.

Back kick.

Apollo—copying a page from Hansu's own book—met it head-on.

Kick for kick.

Then, spinning with the momentum—

Back kick.

Hansu's eyes widened just a little.

He's getting stronger—during the fight?

On the sidelines, Taehun stared wide-eyed at the battle.

They were breaking ground, uprooting trees, moving like characters straight out of a manga.

For a boy who once lacked ambition—

His eyes now gleamed with fire.

Jincheol kept eating his fried chicken, but his expression had sharpened.

Growing in real time?

"Now that's what I call talent."
