Chapter 26 - Ch-25

Thanks for all the support and powerstones u guysss.

......

As they were running, a dangerously close car suddenly cut across their path.

None of them were willing to die to a crash, so all three jumped high—clearing the machine of speed and death.

The car itself was a class apart. Its paint job—blue, red, and yellow highlights—gave it personality. Gave it soul.

A Porsche.

Apollo came to a halt, heart pounding as he turned to see who stepped out.

The man had flaming red hair and wore a Canada jersey of some kind. He was handsome—undeniably so. The moment he exited the car, multiple women turned to stare.

He stood a couple of inches taller than Apollo's six-foot frame.

Walking toward them, he asked coolly,

"So…" —his gaze flicked between the three— "which one of you is the King of Seoul?"

Jichang's snake-like eyes narrowed. Taking a step forward, he stared the man down.

"I am," he said, voice sharp and dangerous.

Right now, Jichang Kwak was pissed—and he had no time for some random nobody showing up with style and attitude.

Just as the tension spiked—

Swoosh.

A sudden gust of wind swept between them.

"Huh?" the King of Incheon muttered.

Apollo was now standing beside him.

His eyes widened. When? When did he get here?

Jagyeon Na, the King of Incheon, prided himself on his speed. Seeing someone move faster than his reaction time—

It made his brain short-circuit.

Apollo smiled calmly, like he hadn't just appeared from thin air.

"Jichang, this is the King of Incheon. He's no simple opponent, you know."

He placed a hand on both their shoulders.

"It'd do you good to fight him… but don't you dare make a scene in the middle of the road. Find somewhere private."

Jichang frowned.

"I don't have time for this, Apollo—"

But Apollo was already speaking over him.

"I'll take care of Taesoo. You handle him."

He turned to Gongseob.

"You stay with Jichang."

"And why should I listen to you, huh?" Gongseob replied in typical fashion.

But even as Apollo walked off, neither of them moved from their spots.

Swoosh.

Vroom.

"Huh?" the King of Incheon blinked.

He could hear the roar of his car's engine.

Turning back, his face twisted in horror.

Apollo had somehow taken his car keys—

And the car itself.

"That fucker… I'm going to kill him," he muttered through clenched teeth.

Jichang, unfazed, gestured with his chin.

"Come with me. Don't worry about your car—I'll tell him to bring it back in one piece."

Jagyeon exhaled slowly, regaining his composure.

"Alright then… since you've taken my car hostage, I guess it only makes sense that I follow."

As the three walked away, only one thought ran through Jagyeon Na's mind:

'I've heard of the Kings… but not this guy. Just who is he?'

Meanwhile…

Apollo raced down the road at dangerously high speed.

"Woooohoooo!" he shouted, face glowing with glee.

He had decided—once he got rich, he was going to buy a garage full of cars.

In his past life, he never had the money for anything this luxurious.

But now, just a high schooler, he was behind the wheel of a Porsche, and for once—

He felt free.

"And I didn't steal it… I just borrowed it without permission," he muttered with a smirk as he pushed the car harder.

If he'd taken the metro, it would've taken way longer.

But with this beauty? He'd be in Ansan in thirty minutes.

'Time to ride this thing to the fullest.'

Shifting gears, he slammed the throttle.

Vroom.

Exactly thirty-two minutes later, Apollo parked outside Taesoo's school.

Students exiting the building stopped in awe, gawking at the sleek machine.

Walking in with full confidence, Apollo entered the classroom where he'd first met Taesoo.

Or rather—

He saw Taesoo sleeping with his eyes open as the math teacher rambled at the board.

Apollo knocked.

The teacher visibly trembled, instantly allowing him in.

Apollo shrugged. He didn't mind when people didn't give him trouble.

What he didn't know was that during his first fight with Taesoo, some teachers had witnessed the aftermath.

The craters from their kicks, the absolute devastation.

Since then, they had quietly stayed out of their way.

Apollo walked up and smacked Taesoo on the back of the head.

"Ugh," Taesoo grunted, looking around until his gaze found Apollo.

"What is it?"

Without a second glance, Apollo said,

"Come with me."

He led him out of the class.

Outside, Apollo asked,

"What happened today? I heard a King attacked you."

Taesoo casually picked at his ear.

"Yeah, some guy from Suwon. His headbutt was pretty strong, but I took him down easily."

Apollo's eyes widened.

'That can't be right. In the original story, all the Kings were about the same level… even Seokdu was comparable to Taesoo.'

He stood there silently, processing the implications.

'That means Taesoo must be nearing strength mastery… This… this is incredible.'

"Oh yeah," Taesoo said, "you asked us to meet you. Why?"

Apollo shook his head.

"That's not important. Right now, Jichang is fighting the King of Incheon."

Taesoo's eyes widened.

"I'm coming."

He didn't even hesitate.

Apollo nodded, leading him to the car.

Taesoo raised an eyebrow.

"You definitely stole this."

Apollo gave him a stink eye.

"I borrowed it. Now get in. Time to head back to Seoul."
