Zane's POV
My head throbbed violently, the pain pulsing behind my eyes like a drumbeat gone mad. I groaned as I tried to open my eyes, but they felt unbearably heavy, as if someone had poured sand into them. The pressure in my skull was unbearable. I was certain it was going to explode if it continued like this.
Still, I forced myself to peel my eyes open, blinking rapidly against the piercing brightness. My wrists and ankles were tightly bound with cold, heavy chains that dug into my skin with every tiny movement.
Just who the hell kidnapped me?!
My thoughts reeled. It didn't make sense. Why would anyone even think to abduct someone inside an Alpha's mansion, of all places? The place was practically a fortress, crawling with security and surveillance at every turn I must say.
Unless... unless the person who kidnapped me was one of the Alphas.
That horrifying possibility clenched around my gut like a steel trap.
Just who could it be?
