Chapter 18 - A Battle at Baker’s Street 1

Eraser Head darted through the alleys of Musutafu, tracking the Midoriya system. Because of the existence of Asterios, the system was required to make specific calls to clarify their location and where they were going, just in case Asterios forcibly took the metaphorical wheel. Nezu believed this would also help if a new alter developed. The Midoriya system missed one of their check-in times. Normally, someone at the part-time agency would be available to track down Izuku and the Alters, but today they were raiding a villain hideout, and that was more important than tracking down the system.

It wasn't like tracking the system was hard. All of their clothes had a tracking device sewn into the fabric. This way, if a new personality developed, it wouldn't lose or discard the tracker. Aizawa was glad this tracker was made because he doubted he would have been able to find this new personality without it. How did he know It was a new personality? He had been observing them for quite a while after he identified who they were using the tracking device and the system's clothing. But hero work calls, and he lost the new personality while taking down that sledge villain.

When Aizawa finally caught up with the new altar, he had tracked him all the way to Baker's Street. To Aizawa's dismay, when he finally caught up to where the tracker led, he found himself across the street from a clothing store. When he went inside, all he found was the system's discarded clothing. Eraser Head pulled one of the employees aside and asked about the clothing. 'Where did the customer wearing these clothes go?' 'I think they went out the back door after they bought some new clothing,' the employee replied. Eraser Head thanked the employee and ran out the exit door.

Meanwhile, in the mind of the system, a foreign entity gained consciousness. This being wasn't an altar; they weren't born from the mind of a beaten and lonely child. They were a vestige of someone else.

Nana's head was spinning. She had been in One For All (OFA) with the rest of the users, watching Toshi's heroics. But after he touched the writhing civilian, everything seemed to change. First, she felt very claustrophobic, then everything started to zoom in and out around her, and then everything faded to black. Now she was here, in this strange place. As Nana stood up, she began to take note of her surroundings. She was in a forest surrounded by trees, but it was eerily quiet, and spiderwebs seemed to be everywhere.

Activating Float, Nana's quirk, she slowly propelled herself over the treetops, avoiding any spiderwebs and branches in her way. Floating higher and higher, Nana could eventually see for a decent distance. This is what she saw: a giant floating island covered in trees, but at the center of this island were seven buildings. The first building she noticed was a library; it was the most normal building around. Another was a highly fantasized European castle, and there was a factory with a very blacksmith-inspired feeling to it. Across the street from those three buildings was a hedge maze that seemed like the most beautiful garden. On the left side of the maze was a Greek temple dedicated to the god Ares, and on the right side was an old English-style mansion covered in spiderwebs like the forest. The last building was strange; it wasn't as big as the others. It was a tomb with a graveyard surrounding it, complete with a huge wall and a steel gate barring entry to anyone who approached.

Seeing no other signs of civilization, Nana resolved to approach the seven structures and began to drift toward them. After a while, she landed in the courtyard of the fantasy castle. As Nana looked around, she noticed wisp-like entities made of smoke. They were dressed in fantasy-style attire—there were knights, maids, butlers, and stable boys. She even found some wispy horses. But none of these beings seemed to notice her; they just carried out their tasks.

Eventually, Nana stumbled upon a large room with a big round table. Wispy knights sat in different positions around the table, and there was even one wearing a crown. As Nana approached, she finally got a good look at each knight. They were all wispy, except for one seated directly in front of the door. Nana hadn't noticed her before because the giant chairs surrounding the table blocked her view. In a suit of armor missing a helmet sat a young girl with blonde hair; her eyes were closed, and she seemed to be snoring.

Nana decided it would be better to wake the girl up. Gripping her shoulder, she began to shake her. "Wake up, kid!" The girl's eyes fluttered, but she was still mostly asleep. "Five more minutes, Mrs. Midoriya," she groaned. Nana's eye twitched in frustration, so she wound up and smacked the kid right in the face.

"Owwie! Who hit me? Why, I oughta! Wait a second, where the heck am I?!?" the knight girl shouted as she looked around the room. Nana grabbed the girl's face, forcing her to focus. "Hey, kid, I know your confused, so let's get the introductions over with quick, okay? I'm Nana Shimura. What's your name?"

The girl stared at her in bewilderment before bursting into laughter, yelling at the top of her lungs, "I'm the Great Mordred Pendragon! A Knight of the Round Table!"

But then Mordred seemed to trail off as she processed her surroundings. This was Camelot Castle—or at least, what she had always imagined it to look like. This was the round table where she sat across from King Arthur, just like she'd always envisioned. She'd figured out long ago that she wasn't actually Mordred, but out of stubbornness and a bit of disappointment, she had never told anyone.

But this was weird—how was she here? And why was everyone around her a ghost? They were all talking and moving, yet they didn't seem to notice her or Nana, the woman standing right in front of her.

"Hey! Kid, snap out of it! Do you know where we are?" Nana asked the girl, hoping for good news.

"Yeah, we're in Camelot Castle—at least, this is what I always imagined it to look like. But how are we here?"

Nana sighed, grabbing Mordred's hand and pulling her toward the castle exit. "We need to get outside and figure out where we are."

Nana felt confused. She wasn't even alive anymore; she was a vestige of One For All. And this child wasn't a vestige. Maybe she was a copy—was there a quirk that copied people? When Toshinori touched that civilian, she might have been copied over. But if that were the case, wouldn't the other vestiges be here with her? And wouldn't there be a copy of Toshinori here too?

This was all so confusing. She needed to find out where they were and what had happened. Finally arriving outside the castle, Nana decided that they should head over to the library next. Maybe it held information about their situation.

As they approached the library, wisp-like entities began to appear. At first, it was random people Nana didn't recognize, but soon, familiar figures emerged—copies of those she had glimpsed as a vestige of One For All through Toshinori's eyes. There was a wispy Nezu, intently reading a book on tactics, Present Mic diving into the mechanics of surround sound, Hound Dog engrossed in a text about D.I.D, and even a wispy Eraser Head dozing off while reading a book about coffee.

Nana searched the familiar faces with curiosity, while Mordred also looked puzzled by the sight of the ethereal beings. No matter how many times they tried to interact with these wispy copies, the entities remained oblivious, simply turning the pages of their books or sneezing occasionally. The Nezu wisp would laugh maniacally every so often, adding to the surreal atmosphere.

Deciding to move on, Nana pulled Mordred forward as they continued to look around. Eventually, they arrived at a CD aisle, where they spotted another teenager sleeping in the corner. This one had green hair and freckles adorning each cheek.

Nana bent down, attempting to wake him up.

== authors note

I know, I said that what was taken from All Might Wouldn't come up for a while, but I kind of had a great idea for this arc so I decided I would change my mind. Originally Aizawa Was supposed to catch Moriarty and that would be the end of this chapter. But then I was like hey what if I turned this into another arc? So anyway, if you enjoyed this concept, please tell me. If you didn't tell me what I did wrong. See you later bye.

Ps. Nana Is a separate being from the system. She can't take over Izuku's body because she's still a vestige. At most, she could allow Izuku/every other alter to use her quirk. But there will be Consequences if they do use her quirk. Think of it like AFO Giving someone two quirks it's not exactly the safest thing. Anyway, bye again.
