The car pulled out of the villa and onto the main road, and without warning, Yi Luowa sneezed.
Yi Weiyang glanced at her.
Yi Luowa quickly waved her hand, "I'm fine, Uncle. Stop the car and let him out."
"I'm not getting out!" Yi Weibang grunted stubbornly.
"If you don't get out, I will! Ao Lie, stop the car. If something really happens, that Yi Lingfei will only call me a sweeping star even more!"
"I really don't know what to say to you!" Yi Weibang shook his head helplessly, "You're much older than Lingfei, can't you just give her a break? If you hadn't twisted her fingers, I wouldn't have slapped you. If I hadn't slapped you, your mom wouldn't have blown up like that, and when your mom's mad, no one can calm her down."
Yi Luowa smiled slightly, "In conclusion, I shouldn't have come back. But I don't understand, since you all hate me so much, why did you keep calling me left and right to urge me to come back?"
Yi Weibang was speechless at his daughter's questioning. His wife insisted on having their daughter back, and what he said was to no avail.
Yi Luowa's gaze fell on her second uncle's leg, "If Yi Lingfei hadn't said so many things to stab at my heart, I wouldn't have hit her. My second uncle's leg is the pain of my life. I'd rather not have legs myself than see him like this, yet she had to say it! I didn't break her fingers, and that was already showing mercy."
"Luowa, you're not allowed to say such things again!" Yi Weiyang scolded.
"Uncle, it's time to make a break. Let me finish what I have to say." Yi Luowa clutched her uncle's hand tightly, turned her head to look at Yi Weibang, "Seventeen years ago, when you sent me away, our father-daughter bond was over. So today, there's no need to make me stay just because of someone else's words. From now on, I am my uncle's daughter, and I ask you not to remotely control my affairs."
"Luowa, you said Lingfei stabbed at your heart, but don't your words do the same to me? Your father was almost in his thirties before having you, and I was overjoyed at the time, carrying you everywhere I went. Yet, after you were born, disasters kept happening at home—your grandfather, uncle were gone, and your second uncle ended up like this.
The master said sending you away would bring peace to the family. I didn't believe it and couldn't bear it either. But soon after the master said those words, I got into a car accident, and I barely survived. Even then, I couldn't bear to send you away. Later, I got better, and when your mom took you out for fun, there was another accident, your mom fell into a coma. I went to see the master, and he said you were a bad omen and that keeping you at home would bring more disasters. I had no choice."
"I am a bad omen! I am a bad omen! I am..." Yi Luowa suddenly held her head, repeating the same sentence over and over again.
"Luowa!" Her uncle hugged her tightly in his arms, "Calm down, calm down! This is not your fault."
Yi Luowa looked up in bewilderment, tears falling down continuously.
Ao Lie turned his head and glared angrily at Yi Weibang. By saying that, he had stabbed Luowa's heart once more. Sitting in the front passenger seat, Ao Xiang suddenly shouted, "Watch out!"
Ao Lie jerked his head back, only to see a large truck rushing straight at them like a runaway horse. Ao Lie turned the wheel hard, trying to avoid the truck, but his movement was obviously slower than the truck's speed.
"Bang..." The front of the truck slammed directly into the side of the van. Under the strong external force, the van flipped over like a box, landing upside down with its wheels in the air.
The world fell silent all of a sudden. Yi Luowa stared blankly at her uncle who was pinned under her. His eyes were tightly closed, but his hand was still protectively holding her head.
Drip... drip... Yi Luowa's blood from her forehead dripped onto her uncle's face, slowly mixing with his own blood.
"Uncle!" Yi Luowa screamed desperately, crying out to her uncle. If she really was a jinx, she had harmed her uncle once again.
"Luowa, calm down, Uncle won't be in trouble. Try to move a little and see if you're hurt. If you are, try not to move too much." From the front passenger seat, Ao Xiang said with difficulty.
Yi Luowa tried to move a bit; her right foot seemed to be trapped under the seat and she couldn't move it. "I'm okay, but my uncle won't respond to me... boohoo..."
"Don't cry." Ao Lie struggled to peer in from outside the window, "I'll come rescue you."
Ao Xiang glanced at his brother, "Don't waste your strength, you won't hold up if you lose too much blood. Who can make a call and call for an ambulance?"
Yi Luowa fumbled around on her body, took out her phone, her eyes blurred with a mix of tears and blood. The space inside the car was too small, and her uncle's hand was still holding her head tightly, making it impossible for her to wipe her eyes. She had to blindly dial the phone with her eyes closed.
"Hello? What do you want to tell me this time..."
Like a blind cat stumbling onto a dead mouse, the call actually connected, "I was in a car accident. Please help me call an ambulance."
The playful voice on the other end immediately turned serious, "What's your location?"
"Lotus Road, hurry..." The blood on her head was flowing more and more, causing Yi Luowa to fall into a brief daze.
"You damn girl, speak! I'll have someone over to rescue you at once. You can't fall asleep, I haven't had my revenge yet, you can't fall asleep!"
"I saw Grandpa and Uncle..." Yi Luowa's lips faintly curled as she slowly closed her eyes.
It was unknown how long it was before the shrill "woo-woo" sound woke Yi Luowa up. At this moment, she was lying in an ambulance, with Ao Lie sitting beside her, covered in blood.
"Where are you hurt? Why is there so much blood?"
"Superficial wounds." Seeing her awake, Ao Lie gave a smile. To prove he wasn't seriously hurt, he moved his hands and feet a bit.
"Where's Uncle?" Yi Luowa asked, staring steadily at Ao Lie.
"In the ambulance ahead."
"Is he okay?" After asking, Yi Luowa turned her head, afraid to hear the news she didn't want to hear.
"He's fine, much better off than you are."
"Really?" Yi Luowa jerked her head toward Ao Lie, only to wince from hitting her head wound, and pain made her grimace.
Ao Lie quickly held her face steady, "Be careful! Uncle is fine, my brother is fine too, he's in the same ambulance as Uncle."
Yi Luowa looked at him for a while, seeing that he didn't seem to be lying, her tense nerves relaxed just a little.
"What about him?"
"Who?" Ao Lie was taken aback.
"That uncle sitting in the car."
"The car hit from his side... his injuries are more serious."
Yi Luowa frowned slightly, "It seems I really am a sweeping star."
"Don't say that about yourself! I've accompanied you to so many competitions, why haven't I had any problems?" Ao Lie glared at her unhappily.
"Now there is," Yi Luowa frowned at Ao Lie, "none of you should ever follow me again."
"Stop talking!"
That shout from Ao Lie truly silenced Yi Luowa.
