Chapter 19 - Chapter 014: Chop off both pairs of his hands for me

Tong Airui immediately exploded in anger, shouting loudly, "Yuan Hang, get in here and chop off both of Old Seven's hands for me!"

"Shh—" Yuan Hang poked half of his head in and made a silence gesture. "The neighbors are arguing."

Tong Airui heard that Yi Luowa's side was noisy and shouted at Mai Zekai, "Put your pants back on!"

Mai Zekai leisurely took out a box of ointment from his pocket, put on disposable gloves, and applied it bit by bit to Tong Lao Si's swollen area. "Three times a day. Don't forget to apply the medication, or it really will be useless."

Saying this, Mai Zekai sluggishly pulled up Tong Lao Si's underwear and trousers for him.

"I really don't understand how my uncle and Aunt Xixi put up with you for over twenty years!" Tong Airui propped himself up on the bed with both hands and slowly sat up.

Mai Zekai glanced at him, took off his doctor's coat, and turned to leave the ward.

"Damn! If I'd known you'd turn out this rotten, I would've pinched you to death when you were little!" Tong Airui looked full of regret.

Yuan Hang rushed in, helped him off the bed, and dressed him in a white lab coat and a mask.

"Who's that brat arguing with now?" Tong Airui sounded a bit impatient.

"Her brother and sister."

Tong Airui adjusted himself and pushed the door open to leave.

"Yi Luowa, get out of the imperial capital right now! There are fewer and fewer people in this family—how many more do you want to kill before you stop?" Yi Lingfei stood in the center of the ward, screaming hysterically.

"Sis, I beg you—please leave." Yi Shaoqing choked up. "The family can't take this torment anymore."

Yi Luowa leaned against the headboard and stared at Yi Shaoqing, speaking in a deep voice, "I don't need you to drive me out. Once Second Uncle's condition stabilizes, I'll take him back to Country F."

Yi Lingfei charged toward the bed, pointing at Yi Luowa's nose as she shouted, "You're not allowed to take Second Uncle away! What—do you plan to hurt Second Uncle again?"

Yi Luowa slapped Yi Lingfei's hand away forcefully. "The reason I let you in wasn't to point your finger at me like that! You don't let me honor your father, fine—I won't honor him—but Second Uncle, *I'm going to take him away*!"

"Yi Luowa, don't think I don't know what you're planning! Are you just waiting for Second Uncle to die so you can get all his inheritance? Well, I'm telling you—it's not happening! Second Uncle isn't just *your* uncle, Dad wasn't just *your* dad. You killed so many people in the Yi family and dare to imagine taking even a penny of the Yi family's money? Get out this instant—better yet, drop dead somewhere far away!"

"Pa-pa!" Yi Lingfei hadn't finished cursing when she received two sharp slaps across her face.

Yi Lingfei couldn't believe what she saw—the person half-kneeling on the bed dared strike her, even in such a wounded state!

"I'm going to fight you to the death!" Yi Lingfei reached out to grab Yi Luowa's hair.

Yi Luowa moved with lightning speed, switching from kneeling to sitting, and delivered a sharp kick. Yi Lingfei flew like a severed kite, landing on the floor with a loud "thud."

"Yi Lingfei, I've put up with you long enough! Let me tell you—I don't want a single penny of your family's filthy money. And open your *dog eyes*—my Second Uncle is still alive! He's still alive!" Yi Luowa slammed a fist against the hospital bed and pointed at Yi Lingfei furiously, shouting, "Get out! Get out of here now!"

Yi Lingfei was so frightened she forgot to cry. She propped herself up with both hands and slowly backed away. Yi Shaoqing wiped his tears and tried to help her, only to be pushed away by Yi Lingfei. "Yi Shaoqing, if you're still a man, go kill her!"

Yi Luowa reached for a pillow and slammed it into Yi Lingfei's face. "Get out—! Let your family's lawyer come. Isn't your real fear that I'll take a share of your inheritance? Fine—call the lawyer!"

Yi Lingfei, hearing her hit the sore spot, ignored the pain all over her body, grabbed Yi Shaoqing's hand to stand up, and threw a stack of documents from her bag onto the bed. "Sign them!"

Yi Luowa sneered, picked up the documents.

A long, slender hand reached out, snatching the documents away. It turned to Yi Lingfei as its owner spoke, "My patient is mentally unwell at the moment. Even if she signed this, it would be invalid."

"Mind your own business! She can hit someone like that—how could she be mentally unwell? I'm warning you, stay away from her—she's a sweeping star, and she'll ruin you!" Yi Lingfei said, trying to take the documents back.

Tong Airui tossed the documents out the door with one hand. "Get out!"

Yi Lingfei glared bitterly at Tong Airui and left the room. Yi Shaoqing followed hurriedly. At the door, he turned back to glance at Yi Luowa. "You'd best leave the imperial capital soon."

Yuan Hang, hiding behind the door, pulled him out.

"You too—get out!" Yi Luowa said coldly to Tong Airui.

"You're mentally unstable right now. I suggest you refrain from signing anything." Tong Airui shot her a glance and started walking toward the door.

"You're a doctor; just focus on treating patients. Stay out of my family's business," Yi Luowa replied frostily.

Tong Airui paused without turning, replying, "I'm not interested in your family affairs. I only fear they'll provoke you into signing something reckless. You can't even afford your medical bills right now."

"You don't need to worry about that—I'll owe anyone but you for medical bills."

"Seems I really am meddling in others' business," Tong Airui chuckled self-deprecatingly, pushing the door open as he left.

Back in his ward, Tong Airui stood like a statue by the window, gazing at the distance.

Time slipped away, grain by grain, through his fingers. Finally, the statue spoke, "Yuan Hang, I want a detailed report of every car accident in the Yi family over the past twenty years within twenty-four hours."

"Yes."

"Send someone to protect Yi Weiyang and Yi Luowa in secret. Tell the protectors—do not let Yi Luowa or her Second Uncle sign any documents."

"Yes."

"Monitor Xi Meichen and her two children's movements."

"...Yes."

Tong Airui slowly turned to face the puzzled Yuan Hang. "Got questions?"

"I wouldn't dare!" Yuan Hang quickly pulled out his phone and carried out the three tasks Tong Airui had instructed.

"Fourth Master, I've relayed your orders."

"I can hear it!" Tong Airui said impatiently. "Stop circling around me. Say whatever you want to ask."

"Fourth Master, may I ask—are you playing around, or are you serious?"

Tong Airui slightly raised an eyebrow. "Does it make a difference?"

"Yes! Playing around is fine, but if you're serious—I need to tell you something. I've never been idle; I've been investigating Yi Luowa. Uncle and Aunt always disliked the Yi family people; they wouldn't approve of you marrying a Yi family daughter. Also, ever since Yi Luowa was born, the Yi family has encountered numerous strange incidents..."

"Get out!" Tong Airui growled lowly.

Yuan Hang quickly silenced himself and retreated.
