Chapter 23 - Second Day I Win or .... I

The two girls continued to clash, trading blows and using their weapons with precision. Okura, growing tired, made a critical mistake and was struck by the kunai. However, instead of blood, only mud splattered from the wound.

"A clone made of mud," the Konoha girl thought before she swiftly decapitated what she believed was the real Okura.

Before she could process her victory, she sensed a presence approaching from behind. With lightning speed, she managed to block the incoming kunai, now held by the real Okura from Iwa.

"This should be the real one," the Konoha girl muttered, readying herself to finish the fight.

Just as the battle seemed to resume, the Konoha girl's grip faltered. Pain surged through her body, and she dropped her kunai in shock. Turning around, she saw the clone she had decapitated standing, perfectly fine, holding a bloodied kunai in its hand.

"Earth clones can reform themselves... I forgot," the Konoha girl thought, her body sinking to the ground as the realization hit. "Is this where it ends?"

"We can't lose," she murmured, summoning the last of her strength to hurl a fireball at Okura.

Okura, though fast, was already fatigued and low on chakra. She could only attempt to dodge by leaping sideways, but half of her body still caught the flames. The explosion sent her flying several meters, unconscious, while the Konoha girl also collapsed from exhaustion, her chakra drained.

Meanwhile, in another part of the forest, Zato and Iwame were still locked in combat with the other Konoha shinobi.

The two Konoha ninja, still injured from the initial surprise attack, were struggling to keep up.

Zato, seizing an opportunity, lunged at one of the Konoha ninjas, drawing a kunai as he approached. Just before they met, he tossed six shuriken in the air.

The shurikens collided midair, deflected by others, as Zato aimed a precise strike at the enemy's elbow. But his kunai was intercepted by the opponent's weapon. The battle shifted to taijutsu, both sides realizing that it was a better option for closing the distance.

After exchanging blows, the Konoha ninja jumped back and performed a jutsu that summoned rocks from the earth, hurling them toward Zato. In response, Zato used his water jutsu to create a wave, countering the rocks, but both techniques canceled each other out, wasting valuable chakra.

"Zato, wake up!" shouted the opposing ninja.

"Wake up," Zato thought, confused. "Why would the enemy say that to me?"

Suddenly, he recalled something. "That jutsu... Iwame uses that move. But why is this Konoha ninja using it?"

"I'm Iwame, your friend," the enemy ninja said, grinning.

"Wait... if what he's saying is true, then I've been under genjutsu," Zato realized, cutting his skin with his kunai to break the illusion.

As blood appeared, the world around him shifted. The Konoha ninja now appeared as Iwame, and the figure he had thought was Iwame had turned into a Konoha shinobi, watching the fight from a distance.

"It seems my genjutsu has been dispelled," the Konoha ninja with the 2-tomoe Sharingan said.

"It's annoying, but now we have to fight," said the other Konoha ninja.

The two Konoha shinobi quickly regrouped. The Uchiha made a few hand signs and unleashed a massive fireball from his mouth. His teammate leaped into a tree to gain an advantage.

Iwame quickly formed a stone wall to shield himself from the flames, while Zato jumped to avoid the attack.

Zato, though, was caught off guard as several shuriken flew toward his position. He managed to deflect a few with his kunai, but there were too many, and one struck his hand while another hit his leg.

Seeing his friends in danger, Iwame's anger flared. Using his earth jutsu, he summoned flying rocks and hurled them at the Konoha shinobi. The Uchiha narrowly dodged the projectiles, thanks to his Sharingan, but his teammate, lacking such an ability, was struck by the rocks, crushing his chest, legs, and arm, rendering him unconscious.

Only one enemy shinobi remained standing, and Team E was in a similar state, with Okura and Iwame unable to continue fighting.

Zato, now nearly drained of chakra, summoned one last wave of water. It was much smaller than before but enough to pose a threat. The Uchiha, too, was low on chakra and had no choice but to counter with a small fireball.

Despite his best effort, the fireball wasn't enough to stop the incoming wave of water. The fireball fizzled out, and the Uchiha was engulfed, his body completely overwhelmed by the crushing force of the wave.

Hello

some info about Sharingan ( from wiki )

When a wielder of this kekkei genkai experiences a powerful emotional condition with regards to a person precious to them, their brain releases a special form of chakra that affects the optic nerves, transforming the eyes into Sharingan; for that reason the Sharingan is described as an "eye that reflects the heart" . Often, as per the Uchiha's so-called "Curse of Hatred", this emotion is a negative one, brought on by stress or loss. The emotion can also be positive, driven by a desire to protect or reunite with a loved one.

An illustration of the Sharingan development.

In the anime, it was shown that usually after first acquiring this power, the user's enhanced perception will throw off their timing, causing them to overstress their bodies from trying to keep up with the increased reaction time, forcing the user to adjust to properly move with it.A higher control of one's chakra is also required to maintain its power for long. It was also shown during emotional states that begin to trigger the Sharingan's awakening, it can temporarily blur the person's eyesight until finally manifesting. Assuming that the user is aware they have awakened the Sharingan, they are thereafter able to freely use it. When first awakened, each Sharingan usually will have only one tomoe , although in some case, they immediately gained two tomoe in each of their eyes. Through emotional growth of extreme conditions, the Sharingan will continue to develop, its full maturation represented by a third tomoe. When Hagoromo awakened the Sharingan in the anime, he had all three tomoe immediately. All the Sharingan's abilities are available to the user from its earliest stage, but with greater development comes greater proficiency with those abilities. Example, with full maturation, the Sharingan's ability to perceive all targets and events around them is fully developed, which can cause the user's movements to drastically differ from their earlier movements if their Sharingan matured mid-battle.

As with any dōjutsu, Sharingan can be transplanted into non-Uchiha. They are unable to deactivate it and its use has a greater chakra demand for them than for actual Uchiha, who need only minimal chakra to keep it active. For these reasons, non-Uchiha tend to cover their Sharingan when they aren't using it in order to conserve chakra. Sharingan that originate from the same Uchiha are still linked to some extent even when wielded by separate users, at times enabling those users to see the same things.
