Alex leaned back in his chair, a grin stretching across his face. "But wait, what's with this skill? Am I the Pro Driver now?" He chuckled to himself. "Alright, let's test this out then!"
He tapped on his phone, opening the Go-Go Driver app. His eyes scanned the screen. "So, let's see if anyone ordered me." He waited a moment, then sighed dramatically. "Nope. No one, lol."
Five minutes ticked by, filled with the hum of his imagination already picturing daring maneuvers and speedy deliveries. Suddenly, a cheerful notification popped up on his phone. "Oh! A request! Oh yeah!" He tapped it excitedly. "Where are they? Oh, at Blair Bar. Okay!"
He practically leaped out of his chair, grabbing his keys. In no time, his sleek Bambargine G1 car was purring to life, its engine a gentle rumble of anticipation. He zoomed towards Blair Bar, his heart thumping with a mix of nerves and excitement.
Pulling up smoothly in front of the bar, he spotted a woman standing near the entrance. He lowered his window and called out, "Are you 4516 Ma'am?"
The lady turned, a smile gracing her lips. "Yes, I am. And are you a Go-Go Driver?"
Alex grinned, feeling a surge of confidence. "Yes, please sit right in."
As the lady settled into the comfortable passenger seat, Alex turned to her. "So, where do you wanna go, Ma'am?"
"Qian Mashup, please," she replied.
"Oh, okay!" Alex nodded, his fingers already expertly navigating the GPS. This was it. His first official order. He carefully pulled away from the curb, feeling a thrill course through him. He focused on the road, driving smoothly and safely, just like he'd always imagined.
Soon enough, they arrived at Qian Mashup. The lady thanked him warmly and paid through the app. A moment later, his phone buzzed with a notification.
*Host, You completed your first order so your original account balance will be tripled.*
Another notification followed almost instantly.
*Host, current balance: 40103000 × 3 = 120309000.*
Alex's eyes widened as he stared at the number on his screen. "Whoa! Oh, it's too much, hahaha!" He couldn't believe his eyes. This was way more than he expected!
Before he could fully process his newfound fortune, his phone pinged again with another order. "Oh! Another order! Let's go!" he exclaimed, his earlier nervousness completely forgotten.
He glanced at the pickup location. "Where is it, huh? Qing Group." He frowned slightly. "Hmm, who can it be?" Then he shrugged, a determined look on his face. "Well, I don't care! A job's a job!" He put the car in drive, ready for his next adventure as the (maybe) Pro Driver.
Alex navigated through the bustling city streets towards the Qing Group building. It was an imposing structure of glass and steel, towering over everything around it. "Wow," he murmured to himself as he pulled up to the grand entrance. This was definitely a different vibe than the Blair Bar.
He checked his app for the passenger's name: "Mr. Chen." Okay, simple enough. He waited patiently, watching as smartly dressed people hurried in and out of the building.
A few moments later, a man in a sharp suit emerged. He scanned the cars parked at the entrance, his eyes finally landing on Alex's Bambargine G1. He walked over and opened the back door.
"Are you Mr. Chen?" Alex asked politely, turning slightly in his seat.
The man nodded curtly, his expression serious. "Yes. Take me to the Grand Hyatt Hotel in District S." His voice was deep and authoritative.
"Alright, Mr. Chen," Alex replied, putting the car in drive. He glanced in the rearview mirror. Mr. Chen was already on his phone, typing rapidly. Alex decided to respect his passenger's silence and focused on the road.
The drive to District S was smooth and uneventful. Alex couldn't help but steal a few glances at the impressive buildings they passed. This go-go driving thing was turning out to be quite interesting!
As they arrived at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Mr. Chen put his phone away. He paid through the app, and just as he was about to get out, he paused. He looked at Alex, a hint of something unreadable in his eyes.
"You drive… quickly," Mr. Chen observed, his tone neutral.
Alex chuckled nervously. "Ah, well, I try to be efficient, sir." He didn't want to admit he might have been going a little over the speed limit. That "Pro Driver" skill felt like it gave him an extra boost of speed, maybe a little too much sometimes.
Mr. Chen simply nodded again, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Be careful." With that, he stepped out of the car and disappeared into the hotel.
Alex watched him go, a little puzzled by the interaction. "Be careful?" What was that supposed to mean? He shrugged it off. Another order completed, and his balance was probably astronomical by now! He checked his phone.
* Your current original account balance is: 120309000 + 5000 = 120314000.*
"Wowza!" Alex exclaimed. Five thousand won for that trip! This was way better than any part-time job he'd ever had.
Suddenly, another notification popped up. This one was different.
*New Hidden Mission Alert!*
*Mission: Deliver a package to the address provided within 15 minutes. Reward: ???*
Alex's eyebrows shot up. "A hidden mission? Cool!" He quickly tapped on the notification, and an address appeared on his screen along with a timer counting down from 15 minutes. The address was in a part of the city he wasn't very familiar with.
"Alright, Bambargine, time to show them what you've got!" Alex said, a thrill of excitement coursing through him. He punched the address into his GPS and with a quick check of the mirrors, he sped off, ready for whatever this hidden mission had in store. This was definitely more exciting than just dropping people off!
The GPS route flashed on Alex's dashboard. Fifteen minutes wasn't a lot of time, especially in city traffic. He expertly weaved through the lanes, the Bambargine G1 responding to his touch like an extension of himself. That "Pro Driver" feeling was definitely kicking in, making him more confident behind the wheel.
"Okay, almost there," he muttered, his eyes glued to the timer ticking down. The address led him to a slightly rundown neighborhood, a stark contrast to the gleaming towers he'd been driving around earlier. He pulled up to a small, unassuming building.
The app displayed a brief instruction: "Deliver to the back door. Knock three times."
Alex frowned slightly. This felt a bit… clandestine. He grabbed the small package that had materialized on his passenger seat – he hadn't even noticed it appear! It was wrapped in plain brown paper with no markings.
He cautiously made his way around the back of the building. The area was quiet, almost deserted. He found a weathered wooden door and, taking a deep breath, knocked three times.
A small peephole in the door slid open, and an eye peered out at him. After a moment of silent scrutiny, the door creaked open just enough for him to slip the package through. A hand reached out and swiftly took it, and the door closed again without a word.
Alex stood there for a second, a little bewildered. That was certainly… efficient. He checked his phone. The timer had stopped with only a minute to spare.
*Hidden Mission Completed!*
*Reward: New Vehicle Unlocked - Stealth E-Bike!*
"Whoa! A new vehicle?" Alex exclaimed, a grin spreading across his face. He quickly navigated to the vehicle selection in his app. There it was – a sleek, black electric bike that looked like it could zip through anything. "Sweet!"
Just as he was admiring his new ride, his phone buzzed again with a regular order. This time, the pickup was nearby. A young woman named Sarah needed a ride to the Central Library.
Switching back to his trusty Bambargine, Alex headed to the pickup location. Sarah was waiting outside a small cafe, looking a bit flustered.
"Hi, are you Alex?" she asked, her voice a little rushed.
"Yep, that's me! Hop in," he said with a friendly smile.
Sarah got in, sighing in relief. "Thank goodness you got here quickly. I'm already late for a study group."
"No worries, I'll get you there fast and safe," Alex assured her, pulling away from the curb. He drove at a comfortable pace, chatting with Sarah about her studies. She was preparing for her university entrance exams and was feeling a bit stressed.
As they arrived at the Central Library, Sarah thanked him profusely. "You're a lifesaver! And this car is really cool!"
Alex chuckled. "Glad I could help!" He watched her rush inside, then checked his earnings for the trip.
*Host, You have completed another order. Your current balance is: 120314000 + 3500 = 120317500.*
