Chapter 5 - What kind of challenge is that!

The cheerful "Hello!" Alex had ready for whoever was calling caught in his throat as the voice on the other end announced, "I'm the manager of Go-Go Driver agency, sir. We understand you acquired 45% of our company shares. Would it be possible to meet today to sign the contract?"

A jolt of surprise, quickly followed by a wave of excitement, ran through Alex. "Yeah, sure," he replied, glancing at his watch. Oops! 3:40 already? "I'll be there in about fifteen minutes."

"Very good, sir," the manager responded.

Alex hung up, a grin spreading across his face. He hurried to his car and soon was navigating the Nagpur streets towards the Go-Go Driver agency.

Reaching the building, he stepped inside and approached the first person he saw, who was sitting behind a desk. "Excuse me," Alex began politely, "could you tell me where the manager's office is?"

The employee looked up, a sneer forming on his face. "Why are you looking for the manager? Let me see your appointment letter."

Alex blinked, taken aback by the rude tone. "I don't have one, but the manager asked me to come here to sign a contract."

The employee's tone hardened. "Do you think I'm some kind of fool? You poor people, always trying to pull something! You're telling me our manager would ask someone like you to come here and not even bother to greet you himself? Guard!" he yelled, "Kick this poor brat out on his backside!"

He leaned forward, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Hey, are you leaving politely, or do I need to kick you out myself?"

Annoyance flared within Alex. He clenched his fist and, before he could think better of it, landed a punch squarely on the employee's nose. "If you want to fight," Alex retorted, his voice tight with anger, "then come on!"

Just then, a door burst open and a man rushed in, his face etched with concern. "What in the world is going on here?"

The employee, holding his nose, pointed a shaky finger at Alex. "Manager, this poor brat just barged in here and is causing trouble!"

Alex stepped forward. "Are you the manager of Go-Go Agency? I'm Alex, and I'm here to sign the contract."

The manager's eyes widened in recognition. "Oh, sir! You're the new shareholder! Please, come with me. I am so sorry I was late; I was finalizing another agreement. And you two," he said, turning to the employee and another person standing nearby, his voice now firm, "you're both fired. Take your salary and get out."

Alex followed the manager into a spacious office. The manager gestured to a chair. "Please, have a seat, Alex." He then slid a document across the large desk. "Please read through the contract at your leisure and sign when you're ready."

Alex carefully read the terms, his initial anger fading as he focused on the legal jargon. Satisfied, he picked up the pen and signed on the designated line.

The instant his signature touched the paper, a bright notification popped up in front of his eyes, seemingly out of thin air:

*"Challenge Mission: Become A GO-GO Driver For 1 Week. Reward: Qian Mashup 100% Ownership."*

*"Host, System is giving you driving god skill [Skill: Driving God- With this skill host driving skill will be max out.]

W-wait, what? Alex thought in disbelief. I have to become a Go-Go Driver? This has nothing to do with buying shares!

"Sir? Are you alright?" the manager asked, noticing Alex's stunned expression.

"Yes, I'm all right," Alex replied, trying to process the bizarre notification. An idea sparked in his mind. "Actually, Manager," he began, "I was wondering, could you create a Go-Go Driver license for me?"

The manager looked surprised. "Of course, sir. But... why would you want that?"

"Oh, I just... I've always wanted to try being a driver," Alex said, hoping his casual tone sounded convincing.

The manager chuckled. "Alright, sir. Give me about ten minutes."

True to his word, the manager returned shortly with a laminated Go-Go Driver license bearing Alex's photo and name. "Here you are, sir."

"Thank you," Alex said, taking the license. He shook the manager's hand, a strange mix of confusion and excitement swirling within him, and then headed out of the Go-Go Agency, the unexpected challenge now firmly planted in his mind.

"But wait what's with that skill. Is I'm the pro driver now."

Let's test out then.
