Chapter 12 - The Path of Cerberus

He stood at the edge of the scorched battlefield, alone. The sword Cerberus now whispered constantly, no longer restrained by artificial system prompts. It was alive—three voices layered upon one another, their overlapping murmurs echoing within his skull.

"You are us. And we are you."

"Mythical Zoan: Cerberus."

"The eater of legacies."

A single truth repeated again and again:

He had become the Mythical Cerberus itself.

Not merely the wielder of the system—he was the system. The fusion of the Devil Fruit's sentient will and his transmigrated soul had birthed something unprecedented.

And with this evolution came revelation.

[Unique Cerberus Trait: Tri-Core Vessel Unlocked.] [The Host Body may now accommodate up to three Devil Fruits.]

Shamrock sat at the edge of a jagged cliff overlooking the sea, silent, contemplative.

Three Devil Fruits.

An impossible feat for any other. Even Blackbeard, the self-proclaimed anomaly, could only handle two through unnatural methods. It is not sure if Blackbeard could actually accommodate three devil fruits.

Blackbeard's accommodation of Devil fruits is imperfect. The abilities only manifest in left and right half of his body respectively. A perfect multiple Devil fruits accommodation should allow the user to manipulate at will, not just at a specific side of the body.

Shamrock's accommodation would be a perfect one. No such weakness like Blackbeard's will appear.

Which fruits would best suit him?

"First... something defensive," he muttered to himself.

He needed a fruit that could withstand blows from the likes of Garp or Kaido—a fortress, an eternal wall. The Diamond-Diamond Fruit? Too common. He needed something more conceptual... perhaps Barrier-Barrier Fruit, for its absolute defense?

"No... too restrictive."

He shook his head.

"What I need is regeneration. Survival. Maybe... the Mythical Troll-Troll Fruit from the North Blue legends?"

He made a mental note to send CP-0 to investigate.

"For the second fruit... something for movement. Utility."

Teleportation? Time manipulation? Ancient records in Mariejois hinted at a forgotten Blink-Blink Fruit used by an assassin during the Void Century. That could be useful.

But perhaps spatial dominance was better.

"The Door-Door Fruit. Control over entry and exit. It's versatile."

He filed it under possibility.

"And for the third... pure destruction."

His eyes narrowed.

Gura-Gura no Mi?

It had the destructive potential to split seas and destroy islands.

"Or would pure nihility be better?"

Yami-Yami no Mi

Gravity and absolute nullification of all Devil fruit abilities. Worthy of being the fruit that Blackbeard has to lurk in Whitebeard's ship for 20 years.

The fruit that will give the user absolute subjugation and dominance of all other Devil fruit users. Fit to be the power wielded by the future sole God of the world.

"Seems like hunting Blackbeard should be on my list"
