Chapter 6 - AAMH: Chapter 6

"Dr. Banner, are you going to hide alone or stay with me for a while?" Yuma started discussing the real business after their pointless conversation.

"I'd rather hide alone. It'll cause less trouble," Banner said without hesitation.

Yuma nodded. That was what he expected. Banner preferred to be alone. On the one hand, it was safer, and on the other hand, it would minimize the chances of Hulk appearing.

This was beneficial for both him and others. Besides, if he were Banner, he wouldn't trust the other person either.

If someone suddenly broke into your house, claiming to know everything about your past, belonging to a superhuman organization, possessing considerable superpowers, and saying they wanted to be friends and hoped you would help them, would you believe them?

Anyone who believed them would be a fool!

There was no such thing as love or hate without a reason in this world.

Everyone did things for a purpose. Even the best friends needed years of interaction and understanding, feeling that the other person was worth knowing before being kind to them.

If one day someone suddenly became kind to you for no reason, then either they were attracted to you, or there was something they could gain from you!

"Take this. If General Ross and his people find you, crush it." Yuma thought for a moment and took out a small axe he had carved, handing it to Banner. It contained a Kidō spell he had sealed inside. "This is a little gadget I made. If you crush it, I'll receive a signal and rush over as soon as possible."

Banner took the small axe and examined it, asking, "Just crush it in my hand?"

"Yes," Yuma nodded. Seeing Banner constantly flipping and examining the axe, he said helplessly, "Don't worry, there's no tracker in it, and I don't know how to use that thing anyway!"

"Careful, it'll let me drive a train!" Banner suddenly blurted out in Chinese.

Yuma was stunned for a moment, then slapped his forehead helplessly. "That's 'Careful, a stitch in time saves nine!'"

What the hell is a train? You know, the kind you get dirty with?

Yuma looked at Banner with a strange expression. He never thought that the seemingly honest and hardworking scholar was actually a seasoned driver behind the scenes.

He's really wild!

"Oh," Banner said awkwardly. "Your Chinese is too complex. It was a Chinese colleague who taught me this a long time ago."

After giving the axe to Banner, Yuma didn't stay long. He took advantage of the night and went straight back.

It was almost midnight. Yuma strolled along the road, hoping for a chance encounter with some "souls."

This place wasn't as diverse as Queens, nor as chaotic as Hell's Kitchen, but it was secluded. If he were a criminal, seeing such a fat sheep on the road, he wouldn't let him go!

"Life is uncertain!"

Yuma sighed sleepily as he woke up in the morning.

Thinking about how he had walked for more than three hours last night just to get back to the city, Yuma wanted to bang his head against the wall!

He had only considered how secluded places were convenient for criminals to commit crimes. The problem was, what criminal would go to the middle of nowhere to commit crimes at midnight? Rob ghosts?

He had been careless!

After a quick wash, Yuma went out. Last night, Tang Junmo, the president of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Flushing Chinatown, had called him, saying he needed his help.

The Chinese people in Chinatown had been oppressed by local gangs and thugs for years, so they formed a Chinese Chamber of Commerce to unite against the local gangs.

The Chamber of Commerce's operating funds were all provided by the Chinese stores in Chinatown. They were mainly used to hire special personnel when they encountered problems that couldn't be solved through normal channels, such as security personnel or mercenaries.

Tang Junmo was elected as the first president because of his seniority, wide network, and integrity. This was his third year in office.

Soon, Yuma arrived at the door of a teahouse in Chinatown. An old man with white hair was waiting at the door with a cane.

"Grandpa Tang, why are you out here?" Yuma quickly reached out to support the old man. "You can wait inside. I know my way around."

The old man smiled at Yuma. "It's nothing. I'm not that old that I can't walk. Besides, I need your help again. You've helped us so much these past two years, and we haven't properly thanked you."

"We're family, no need to be so polite," Yuma shook his head. "If it weren't for your help back then, my shop would have been gone. Don't be so polite with me."

Two years ago, when Yuma first arrived, he didn't have the system yet. He was robbed by local gang members with guns. Luckily, Grandpa Tang happened to be passing by and brought people to drive away the thugs. Otherwise, Yuma would have gone "home" before the system even appeared.

After getting the system, Yuma helped the Chamber of Commerce solve many difficult cases. Whenever the Chamber of Commerce encountered problems they couldn't solve, they would turn to Yuma. The old man knew that Yuma had special abilities that ordinary people couldn't match, so he wasn't worried that Yuma would be in too much danger.

"What's happened to the Chamber of Commerce this time?" Yuma asked after sitting down. "As long as I can do it, I'll do it without hesitation!"

Grandpa Tang remained silent for a moment before saying, "We shouldn't trouble you anymore after you've helped us so much, but we really can't solve this problem. We're really desperate,"

Grandpa Tang paused and continued, "Do you remember Torede? He's back."

"Torede, why is he back?" Yuma was surprised.

Torede was the leader of a gang in Flushing. He had a large group of thugs who specialized in loan sharking, robbery, and bank robbery, all high-risk businesses.

A year ago, the entire gang was wiped out by Yuma. Torede escaped during the chaos, but now he was suddenly back.

"What's the story?" Yuma asked. "If it were just him coming back, you wouldn't have called me, right?"

"Yes, if it were just him, we wouldn't be helpless," Grandpa Tang nodded. "But this time is different. He's back to work for Kingpin. He wants to build a drug trafficking center in Flushing and have us sell drugs for him!"

"We contacted Black Shield Security and the Viper Mercenary Company at first, but they said they wouldn't take the job no matter how much money we offered. They also told us to agree to the other party's demands, otherwise, no one in America, let alone New York, would help us."

"It's him. No wonder." Yuma understood. If Kingpin was behind Torede, they wouldn't dare take the job.

Kingpin was no ordinary person. He was a big boss in Marvel.

Kingpin himself wasn't particularly powerful, but he was the biggest gang leader in America. Over 40% of criminal activity in America was related to him. He was the undisputed underground emperor of America!

Basically, any time a superhero fought crime, they were fighting Kingpin.

Although Kingpin was powerful, he was only powerful because he had a lot of people. In Yuma's eyes, having a lot of people was very beneficial to him. He was worried about how to become comfortably middle class.

Kingpin had a large number of thugs. If he trapped Torede in Flushing, disrupting Kingpin's drug business, then Kingpin would constantly send people to get him back.

If he used Torede as a target and then ambushed them, wouldn't he have a constant supply of "souls" to harvest?

Yuma narrowed his eyes, stroking his chin. This was a great opportunity.
