Yuma dashed towards Torede, kicking his arm and sending the rocket launcher flying, saving Torede from being blown away by the woman in black.
The woman in black stopped firing when she saw Yuma charging at her. Then, like Yuma, she charged forward and engaged in close combat.
Fortunately, there weren't many people left, and they were close enough that they didn't dare to fire their guns, afraid of hitting their own people.
Yuma noticed that the woman in black's fighting skills were also exceptional. She was facing five burly men and was still effortlessly holding her own, not losing ground at all.
These gang members hadn't received any systematic training, nor did they know any fighting techniques, but their muscular physiques were undeniable, and they had a wealth of street brawling skills. It wasn't a problem for them to take on several adults.
But now, five people were facing the woman in black, and two had already been knocked down. The other three clearly wouldn't last much longer.
He couldn't delay any longer. Yuma looked at Torede and his two men in front of him, flashed, and rushed to their side, engaging them in combat.
Yuma controlled his strength, pretending to struggle against two opponents.
The main reason was that he was afraid that if he used his full strength, he would accidentally kill them, and then he wouldn't be able to let Torede escape.
"You go first. We have a way to escape. We'll meet you later," one of the black men fighting Yuma said to Torede.
The two of them exchanged a few moves with Yuma and found that his fighting skills were decent, but his strength was a bit weak. They were confident they could take him down in three minutes.
But the woman in black was more troublesome. Her marksmanship was too accurate. She was about to take out the remaining three men. Once she had her hands free, it would be difficult for Torede to escape. Then, they wouldn't be able to explain themselves to Kingpin.
Yuma controlled his strength and fought hard for a while, but he noticed that these two men were different from the other thugs.
Even though he was controlling his strength, ordinary people would be knocked unconscious after being punched by him. But these two were fine, still alive and kicking.
Unbeknownst to Yuma, these two were not actually Torede's subordinates. They were sent by Kingpin to assist Torede. They used to fight underground boxing matches, and they were quite strong.
After blocking their attacks, Yuma saw that the woman in black had taken out the remaining three men, and Torede was getting into his car to escape. He decisively increased his strength and stopped holding back.
He caught the black man's fist with one hand and kicked him in the chest with his right foot. Using the recoil, he kicked the other man in the air with his back foot.
The two men were kicked by Yuma, fell heavily to the ground, and fainted.
"Don't move, put your hands up." Yuma had just taken down the two men when he was pointed at by the woman in black's dual pistols. It was clear that she would shoot if he moved.
"We're not enemies," Yuma cooperated and raised his hands. "As you can see, we have a common enemy. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?"
"It's not certain if we're friends yet," she replied, then pressed the communicator on her ear with her left hand. "Torede has escaped, but I have a surprise for you."
Was the surprise me?
"Tell me, who are you, and what are you doing here?" She put away her guns and asked. "Are you really the Flushing crime fighter, the Joker, as they said?"
You're the Joker, your whole family is the Joker. No wonder you wear a mask. You're too ugly to show your face, right?
Yuma thought to himself, inwardly mocking.
Before Yuma could speak, she took off her mask, revealing a head of dark red hair and delicate features.
Holy crap!
Yuma was shocked. It was Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff, a level 10 agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., a member of the Avengers, the goddess in the hearts of countless Marvel fans.
But how did she get here? One Torede wouldn't be enough to attract S.H.I.E.L.D.'s attention, right?
And to send a level 10 agent? It's like using a cannon to kill a mosquito.
"Natasha Romanoff, codename Black Widow," Yuma didn't answer her question, but instead asked, "What caught S.H.I.E.L.D.'s attention that they sent a level 10 agent?"
"I think one Torede wouldn't be enough, right?"
"You know me?" Natasha narrowed her eyes and said coldly. "That makes it simple. Tell me your origin and purpose, or I wouldn't mind inviting you to S.H.I.E.L.D. for a chat."
She emphasized the word "invite," and Yuma didn't doubt her determination, nor did he doubt S.H.I.E.L.D.'s strength.
Black Widow alone might not be able to threaten him, but S.H.I.E.L.D., this behemoth, was a different story.
However, Yuma didn't want to get too involved with S.H.I.E.L.D. for now. After all, there were still Hydra agents in their upper management. Besides, this kind of organization had too many rules and regulations, otherwise, there wouldn't have been a civil war.
Yuma felt that he could learn from the Illuminati and Wakanda. When he could give others Quincy and Arrancar powers, he would also establish a similar organization, called Las Noches!
Just as Yuma was daydreaming about a bright future, he was suddenly interrupted. "I'm asking you a question. Silence won't help."
Yuma snapped out of his reverie and saw Natasha staring at him intently. He quickly said, "Let me introduce myself, Captain of the Las Noches Royal Guard, Matthew."
Natasha thought for a moment. "Las Noches? I've never heard of this organization. It doesn't sound like a legitimate organization. It seems I need to invite you back for a chat."
"Don't be so hasty, Ms. Romanoff," Yuma waved his hand. "How about this, I'll give you a piece of information in exchange, and you'll let me go, how about that?"
"It depends on whether your information is worth it." Natasha thought for a moment and replied.
"General Ross has a subordinate named Emil Blonsky. He will soon undergo a bio-engineered transformation and become a monster more terrifying than the Hulk." Yuma didn't hold back and gave her the information about Abomination.
Since the system had already issued the mission, it meant that Abomination was bound to appear. Even if he told them, S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn't be able to stop it, so this was essentially useless information.
"General Thaddeus Ross?" Natasha asked.
Yuma spread his hands. "Who else could it be? What other General Ross is there?"
"I suggest you hurry up. It's too late if you wait too long. Maybe the experiment has already started."
"Why should I believe you?" Natasha said coldly. "You think you can just make up a story?"
Damn it, she wants to go back on her word, Yuma thought. If I hadn't noticed you secretly turning on your communicator, I would have believed you.
"No way, a level 10 agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. goes back on their word!" Yuma said exaggeratedly. "Who would dare join S.H.I.E.L.D. after this?"
Natasha chuckled. "People in S.H.I.E.L.D. always keep their word. We'll verify your information. I'm sure you know the consequences of deceiving us."
"You can go, but leave those four boxes." Natasha saw that Yuma had already picked up the four boxes of dollars and was about to run, so she quickly stopped him. "Those are now S.H.I.E.L.D. property. Do you want to have coffee with me back at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters?"
"OK, no problem." Yuma smiled, holding the boxes. Then, he threw the boxes backwards, simultaneously opening the Garganta. The boxes flew in an arc and landed perfectly inside the Garganta.
"Well, goodbye, Agent Romanoff." Yuma stepped into the Garganta, waving goodbye to Natasha as it closed.
Sure enough, organizations like S.H.I.E.L.D., who claim to be righteous, will definitely become stumbling blocks on my path to middle class…
As for Natasha, damn it, after I'm done with Abomination, I'll definitely introduce you to Banner, Yuma thought viciously.
