Chapter 6 - Chapter 6; You don't have to be sad.

Shen Ruyi was speechless; it was them who had made those suggestions, and to save everyone's anguish, she chose to be a dutiful woman, but now, things were falling back on her, and everything was becoming her fault. How could they treat her like this?

"Mnnh... Shen Ruyi, I will compensate you." He turned around and gazed at Shen Ruyi before placing Shen Li on the couch. He had these cold and distant eyes, that didn't linger at her for more than a second. She was truly a dispensable garbage that could be used and dumped at any time.

Shen Ruyi suddenly realized how lonely she was. This had been her life since she was young; she had been her sister's shadow, and her life had always circled around Shen Li. What about her? What kind of life did she have to live? Maybe it was time she had some self-respect.

"Okay, I will pack my things and come home. It will take some time." Shen Ruyi loosened her wrist from her father's hand, taking a step back while she wiped her tears away; crying wasn't gonna solve anything. This was like spilled milk and all she needed was to go far away. Run to a faraway place.

"All right, do it sooner, we will go back home." Her parents bid them goodbye while Li Feng picked Shen Li up from the couch.

"I will go over to the office with her after getting checked up with the doctor; Li Bo, Li Ren, and you, Li Zhen, do you want to tag along? Today is the weekend, and there is no school." He turned around and warmly looked at his kids.

"We will accompany you with momma over to the hospital." They hurriedly trailed behind them, and the only person who was left behind was Li Zhen. He had been weak since he was young, and he rarely went out because of his weak heart.

"I will stay at home, Daddy." He waved his hand at them as they got into the car and it drove away without a care. They couldn't accommodate him knowing how sick he was. He would only drag them behind.

Shen Ruyi, who was left behind with the servants and mansion guards, checked the place where she had been living for the last five years. When Shen Li had left Li Feng, he was a little bit poor and living in a small villa but now, they were in a mansion and his company had grown into a multibillion, he was rich now but could that amount to time and feelings she had invested in for all these years in that family? Without her, could he have managed to get there?

"Auntie? You don't have to be sad. I will accompany you." Li Zhen turned around and gazed at his auntie, who was standing there with tears running down her eyes, looking soulless and standing there so quietly.

"I guess these five years have been nothing but just dreams. It's time I woke up." She didn't know if she should laugh at herself or pity herself. She roughly wiped her tears away, it wasn't time to cry or pity herself.

'Did she have anything to carry from the mansion? No, everything was bought with Li Feng's money; she didn't want to carry anything that could remind her of the five years she had wasted on this family. She didn't want to carry anything to remind her of her naivety and sacrificed time.

She went upstairs, packed her clothes that she had bought with her own money, and got her documents before exiting the bedroom but came across Li Zhen, who was standing there in the corridor looking pitiful, with his head bowed while his legs played on the floor, drawing weird maps.

"Li Zhen, thank you... Take care of yourself." She bent over hugging him tightly before pecking his cheek. She appreciated that he stuck around to see her move and bid her goodbye. At least there was one person who honestly cared about her.

"Auntie, can you take me along with you?" Li Zhen whose eyes were watering tightly clung onto Shen Ruyi's cloth without letting go. His tiny arms gripped at her dress while those lips heavily pouted. His eyes were getting redder from crying.

"I'm not going over to your grandparents' home, I'm moving far away... Just a faraway place where I can start afresh." Yes, she wanted to disappear and start her life afresh in some other place where no one knew her and her history. Where no one was going to torment her and poke her scars, reminding her of the mistakes she had made.
