"Ah Zhen... Where are we?" She held Li Zhen's hand checking the place around and see if they were back to the old mansion or somewhere she was familiar with.
"Mommy, don't you recognize us? Mommy, don't you know us?" The two boys by the side were looking at her pitifully while holding her hands trying to get her attention. She hadn't met anyone, and she was too young to have such big kids who were ten years old now. Even if she had lost all the memories, these wouldn't be her kids.
"She is my mommy and not yours! It's my mommy...."
Li Zhen got onto the bed and clung to Shen Ruyi, who was looking confused. The place looked new to her and then, the aesthetics were a bit different from the houses she has been to since birth.
"She is our mommy... You are the outsider here... She is our mommy..."
"Go away...."
"She is my mommy... You are the outsider planning to snatch my mommy away."
"She is my mommy, she gave birth to me...."
"Go away...." Each kid was getting aggressive and worked up when a man walked into the room with guards accompanying him.
"Lu Ting Zhou, she just woke up." With a wave of his forefront fingers, the guards walked over and got the boys before carrying them all away from the room.
"Daddy, you are bad... That's mommy, don't send her away... She is our mommy!" The kids cried as the guards carried them away while they struggled to get out of their grip. Li Zhen wasn't spared, he was also taken away by the guards forcefully.
"She is my mommy alone... She is my mommy. Don't you dare steal Mommy from me!" He also cried hysterically seeing those shameless kids planning to take over his mommy. She was no longer his auntie but his mommy.
Shen Ruyi looked at the man standing in front of her, he was of the same age as Li Feng but looked a bit younger and quite handsome. Li Feng was incomparable when placed close to this man in terms of everything.
"I'm sorry for the inconvenience... And thank you for saving my son; my name is Lu Zhi Hao, and it is a pleasure to meet you." He sat down on the bed while he stretched his hand out to her, and Shen Ruyi respectfully shook his hand, waiting to hear where she was and what they were doing there.
"It's okay, any mother would do what I had done. My name is Shen Ruyi." She might not have given birth to any kid, but her maternal instincts would always kick in whenever she saw a kid in danger. She had this huge heart for kids.
"Mmmh... I know, I had to fly you abroad illegally, and your papers aren't clear and so are Li Zhen's, I know he isn't your son but do you know you can be sued for kidnapping?" He sat there checking her out, she was a young girl but looked like she had tremendously aged and exhausted. She looked like someone who had lost a part of her completely. Her eyes were dull and blank.
"Could they?" Shen Ruyi hadn't thought of this aspect when she had brought Li Zhen along with her, "I just couldn't bear to leave him behind." Yes, it was heartbreaking seeing him cry back at the Li mansion; thus, she took him along.
"I will handle all the paperwork, but I would need you to be my wife, this is the only way to stay here in the country with Li Zhen as your biological son, if not, you would end up being deported back to your home country of which I know you don't want to go back there." He actually didn't have any plans of getting married, but since she had rescued his son, then he would do her a favor, and that's if she wanted to stay in the country. With him as her husband, it was easier to process papers for her and her son.
Shen Ruyi didn't understand in what aspect her papers weren't sufficient to allow her to move abroad, so, how did they get here?
"I flew you over to my country with a private jet, I have powers here that can protect you but I would be breaking the law if I bring you in illegally, and then, my kids aren't that well after losing their mother, your face resembles their mother's, and I don't want to find another woman for them, if you can genuinely treat them well, I don't have any problems." Yes, he could offer her anything she wanted so long as she wanted to stay.
