Ch.14
The next morning the students went on and continued their battles with the monster and unlike the previous day they lost to the monsters and eventually Adam began to see it. Adam now realised that the monsters don't get fed that's why they get very sluggish as the day goes on. The rage was almost gone but somehow it started rising once more again as two monsters had died due to some students. Adam now knew that the knight gets enraged when some of the monsters suffer this really hit Adam hard.
They days went on and the rage was still there and as he walked out the gates to the dorms he saw a bunch of police cars stop by and it seemed like they would be staying for sometime "maybe the monsters will get treated better if they stay here?" Adam left with some relief but again the rage couldn't make him sleep and this time it was too strong than before when he had an idea to escape with the other Monsters, Adam noticed that this idea wasn't his but the knight's. This couldn't go on as he felt the heat of the sun nearing him due to the rage, he spun around, jumped up and down but it got more worse by the second up until he saw the scene with what felt like his eyes even though he was back in the dorms….
The Scene.
The police were not helping at all instead they insisted that some of the monsters must be killed and thus happened as it rained hard and the police were wearing raincoats with the cars flashing their front lights. The knight was in chains and in front of it was a poster with a high notice on it "Rare kill if you can." That's what the poster said. The knight was there on it's throne unable to move and watching it's fellow prisoners die by the hands of the humans. That's why the rage piled up like nothing inside Adam.
The night flew by and in ten morning Adam decided to sleep as the pain he felt was now bearable but as soon as he tried to close his eyes he realised that today is the day he took his exam an with that he walked out with deep black eyebags and for some reason he walked right past the students he lived with like nothing even though they were shouting his name.
"So he's the laughing Phantom… i see." Ms Mique thought as she looked at Adam walk out the door. She realised that something was happening each night inside Adam's room and that yesterday was something way different than the usual laughing. She went upstairs with out a word then she came out 5 minutes later wearing some kind of a nurse outfit, not the sexy one. The students wondered as to what happening. The time for them to head to school came and for the first time they were walking together in a group.
When they arrived they noticed the many footprints left by the police and that some of the monsters are missing and the knight now isn't in the hall but instead it's outside in a more sturdier cage with a bunch of signs and posters arowun it. The other students too were wondering as to what could be going on as they stood in front the knight when one individual approached the cage and entered, the teachers were on their toes trying to call him out but Adam couldn't hear anything just like before.
Upon entering the chains hold the knight down shattered and it stood up with the great sword on one hand, it's aura completely changed from white to pure red. Adam had no choice but to fight to the death.
Adam soon lunged forward with the sword he always carried around. This school allows students to walk around with their weapons as long as they are not causing any harm unless when fighting. Adam threw a flurry of slices I to the air and each one of them didn't connect as the knight was too agile. It swung it's big sword from up to down with great might and creating a crack in the ring which shouldn't happen. Adam had nothing on his mind but to win and he nearly landed an attack but the k ight kept on dodging and now it was the knight throwing around a flurry of slices was faster than Adam and obviously more powerful. The attacks did land and poor Adam was getting impaled and slices like nothing on a stake.
Adam now was on his feet and when the teachers tried to enter the ring they couldn't cause of the aura that was inside. Adam was focused on killing the knight since he thought it was the only solution to ease the pain he didn't know why he was feeling. When the Knight stood there instead of dealing the final blow that's what made Adam realise something….
"I'm fighting a knight who can feel angry for others and the one who willingly sacrifices the benefits given just to give them to another suffering soul and the one who can't kill without having a good reason to and here I am trying to kill it without any doubts." He rose up and this time he could see the red eyes burning inside the knight's helmet. Adam took his stance and with that both of them had a very u tense fight with each one swinging their swords with all their might until their final stance.
Adam took a deep breath and the knight shifted it's foot preparing for a lunged, rainbow like aura spewed out of Adam and with that he spirited away and so did the knight,they were now moving at great speeds while both their auras clashed with the barrier holding them. One rainbow Flames sword swung around and a red aura sword flew by. Adam had dealt the winning blow the problem is that he had fainted at the last moments stopping him from killing the knight which he actually never wanted and the knight felt it that even if he didn't faint he would still have stopped at the last moments.
The teachers were now able to enter as the knight sat down on the throne. The day went on without anything else special happening an d everyone was busy talking about the fight even Soi's friends were talking about Adam.
"Soi did you see what your man did and how he managed to win the fight?"
"He's not my man and I did see. I never knew he had such skill." She said as she gave a small smile with rosey cheeks.
"I wonder what will he be in the future." some of the girls were staring to wonder.
"I think he wants to be a hunter or a world renowned mercenary."
"How can you think such things after witnessing that? It's obvious he wants to be a dragon slayer or a dragon knight like in the other nations." the girls were now thinking very hard on which one will he be or wanta to be when their conversation was interrupted by the school bell which indicated lunchtime.
What profession will he choose???
