Ch.18
The fight between the cyclops and Adam was about to begin and immediately with a straight lunge Adam dealt the first attack on the beast's knee and just like that the beast fell to one knee. Adam tried to deal a fatal attack but with one swing of it's big club Adam flew into the air and coughed up some blood. Adam was very worried now as he thought about Soi who was back at school far away from the fight. Adam kept on pushing ahead but couldn't land in any hits by the Cyclops did multiple times.
"I think it's power up time…" the knight just said that and SHING!! the Cyclops now had no weapon to fight with as Adam threw it away far far away, He had transformed into the knight's armour jsut like that. Adam put down his sword and took a hand to hand combat stance with fists way down on his abdomen.
The fight began and every tree insight was blowing around some of them even getting cut off by the sonic claws, the fight was really one sided with only one aura visible on the field until the beast was down.
The cyclops was dead just like that and Adam proceeded to take off the special gem from it's forehead and some of it's claws.The forest was very empty as he Waltz around lost. Adam exited the forest still I his armour but luckily tge Knight informed him.
On the way the knight explained how he has no time as his soul will disappear into nothingness and that he wants to spend his last moments training Adam. The knight gave a full explanation of the power up armour like how it will disappear if he can't handle it by the time he vanished into nothingness and that the armour will change based on the person if he can handle it when the time comes and how he got the armour but that story will come in the future. In order for Adam to get his Personia armour he has to prove his worth in the the Knights hall then he'll get it but he doesn't want to do that he can simply train hard enough to inherit this one.
Adam was actually headed to the hunters association to cash in the claws he got from the Cyclops and the eyes too. Once he arrived he soon realised that he left some brats at the forest but so he set his priorities straight, get the reward and some food then go back to the brats just to report in with the teachers, that's his priorities set straight. The hunters in the building were very proud of him and immediately wanted to recruit him after seeing his kill "next year I'm coming out you can wait until then…" Adam told them that he's still in school he'll come next year and just like that a spot had been reserved for him to apply. The time came for him to return to the forest and this time it was full of monsters and beasts weak one though. He saw no use in fighting such weaklings so he went straight to the camp and this is when he realised that time is running out so he ran faster on top of the trees until he arrived at the camp. Without haste he looked around and saw the brats hiding ms quickly packed the things up without saying a word then ran straight towards the exit carrying all the luggage FWIIIISH! HE exited the forest and was now heading to the school, nothing could stop him especially as he had only 17 minutes to report in. The school was now insight and he soon arrived, running right to the office and just like that he successfully reported in.
"Where are the other party members….?" The teachers were now worried for the other two
"They're on their way don't worry." Adam was thankful that the mission only needed the special gem on the table on time no other requirements like you have to be here with everyone in the party. Adam was given 60 percentage on every subject since he passed and was given the permission to head back to class the next day since school was already out. Adam went back to the dorms and now the ones who lives with started to wonder what was happening as Adam didn't were he was going they only saw a man arrive late looking all tired after disappearing again this time for three days without a word.
"I think he's sleeping with some old woman or is forced to do something he doesn't want.."
Everyone looked at the one who said that with more woreiful eyes.
The next morning Adam woke up and this time he woke up cause he didn't hear The Knight's voice but he was worried for nothing as it was sleeping. Adam went out ready for school but not ready to meet Soi as he was supposed to be dead.
The class door opened and a new arrival entered the class and it was Adam scaring everyone even Soi herself but the teacher soom explained the situation the glass one which Adam told them. Most people were still shocked but got over it after a few hours. Snowflake took the initiative to actually ask Adam on how things have been…
"Hey…Hey you ..so you could've chosen to hide and act dead so you could avoid school entirely but you simply chose to come back especially as you failed the first term, WHY??."
"I didn't fail since I passed the.. ReExm… and the ..reason I…came back is to.. tell you a secret." Adam was blushing like never before.
"What's the secret??" The poor girl wondered…..

Adam did with blushy serious face and Snowflake how to react. Snowflake turned it into a longer conversation which threw Adam off game leading to the decision that they'll begin dating in the upcoming year since this year is full of school work they won't have time., Adam took it as a rejection and luckily the conversation couldn't continue as the teachers started getting into their classes preparing to teach the kids .
Will they date in the upcoming year or what??
