Ch.8
Few weeks had passed and Adam still hadn't confessed to the girl within those very weeks he was chased by the other classmates forcing him to confess but nothing the girl now knows how Adam feels about her, it was at that point that people saw his speciality was Agility.
Months went on by when suddenly a certain disease started occurring and came in different ways, it's not a disease that could cause the world to panic but it still killes many people and this time it focused on the old. The news were all over talking about this pink death which turns out one's body to pink dust. Adam barely came to classes at that time. The disease was now a known thing within the nation and the only people who knew the cause would be Adam, the pill boss and Seraphina. Not long after that the disease stopped killing in large numbers this acted as a reminder to Adam that he has some unfinished business with the boss.
One day when training by himself he heard a bunch of people talking but didn't care, he worked his body to the limit which made him collapse during the training session. Kintou decided to visit Adam's room but he wasn't there when he looked through the window he saw Adam collapsed on the ground so he rushed down to help and upon arrival he saw that Lady Mique was staring at Adam all over the ground "I told him not to overdo it cause I won't carry him and now we are here."
Kintou took him to the room when downstairs all the house members were holding a meeting on what has happened these past few days. They wondered as to what had gotten into Adam.
"Adam trains too much yeet he chose the commerce stream, something is going on we should ask."
"What if he joined the commerce stream cause of that girl?" Lady Mique didn't know the truth but she hit the nail on the head.
They all decided to help him train for motivation and that they wouldn't ask why he joined the commerce stream. The next day he went to school only because it had been a while since he saw his crush.
Months went on and the fist exam eaxam wear nearing, in these commerce exams 70% is the hand written exams then the rest would be the fighting exam. Adam only had a few goals in life one would to get strong enough to become a hunter, the other would be to marry his crush then the other would be to kill the boss, so the school thing is only because he has to since it's a traditional thing in society.
The written exams he didn't read for but passed them at an average grade then the combat was the only thing he scored above average yet he would never top the best students in his class and the others. The top learner in the class would be his crush Snowflake Von Iceberg aka Soi, she the best if the best followed by her friend Jellyios AkNaylle aka Jan. The months went by without ever slowing down
The school holidays came and went and within those holidays Adam spent his time fantasising about Soi and their future together.
The final term was here and so we're the final exams, at this time of the year students co.e to school wearing the clothes which tell what is their future jobs and obviously many people came wearing lawyer clothes SOI came wearing a dress just under the knee, white formal shirt and a black tie clearly indicating that she wants to be a businesswoman but before the career day event, Adam heard SOI talk with some of her friend…
"I'm giving him only this week if he doesn't come he'll simply have to come and confess to me next year."
"Why next year." This conversation was between two people and they should've whispered instead of what they were doing
"Because after this I'm going to Townia the city of beast."
"Just cause of that…." Adam could not longer hear them talk as the stupid classroom was filled with noise.
At this time Adam was standing near the class door as SOI stood inside the classroom also near the door, both of them were near the door but in different sides and thus would be the last day of the confession deadline but our boy was too shy to confess.
The year had ended and the new year begun and this would be the year which many great things will happen.
The class has been changed from 10A to 11A and 11B the two were separated at the beginning of the years the only way they could reunite was for Adam to pick up his school grades so he could move to the upper class, the exams neared and instead of raising his grade he failed the first term and the second one there was no way they could reunite again, this made Adam fall into a spiral of sadness not depression only sadness his personality doesn't allow for depression. This time people were convinced that there was something wrong with him because he was too afraid to enter Class 11A.
"How could I enter if I'm not worthy?" That's what he'd tell himself when he was forced to enter then as the third term ended he didn't receive his third term report as there was no one who went and fetched it not because they lost hope in him but they were too busy with other things to do so.
Back in the mansion the ladies were starting to panic as the 1 million dees was about to run out but the maids were still getting paid and they worked their hardest with motivation in their eyes. The ladies tried to work some jobs but were soon denied since nobles had to work noble jobs and they can't apply for any kind of noble jobs since they don't have the required qualifications.
Things were only going downhill for the ladies so was things for Adam.
It was clear that the ladies had Limited time before their money ran out and Adam wouldn't be moving to the next grade which was the final one meaning his crush will leave him there in the school yard all alone e once Adam reaches the final grade. This would be how his personality changes or will something happen only Adam knows.
