Chapter 23 - Chapter 23 : The Search for the Twin Necklaces

The kidnapping of Delvi made Rojan and Polo even angrier at Art and his friends.

Delvi was Rojan's future queen, destined to help and accompany him in governing the kingdom. Enraged, Rojan and Polo decided to travel to the Land of the Centaurs with their followers to search for the twin amulet that could awaken the Masked Warriors.

"Come on, Polo, let's prepare to go to the Land of the Centaurs. Ready our sailing ship and gather some soldiers!" ordered Rojan.

"Yes, Captain Rojan!" Polo responded, and several troops began preparing all the equipment and loaded them onto the ship.

They then set sail for the Land of the Centaurs. Throughout the journey, Rojan and Polo kept watch over the sea using their telescopes, while the troops fished to bring offerings to the centaur realm. But then Rojan spotted a giant whale swimming across the ocean, and they prepared their large harpoons.

They shot the whale with a massive harpoon that pierced its body, and tried to pull it in. The whale thrashed violently, causing the ship to rock dangerously.

"What now? Our ship could capsize. Should we just let the whale go?" asked Polo.

"Not yet! We have to stab it so it dies and can't move anymore!" replied Rojan.

But before they could kill the whale, it fought back fiercely, and they couldn't withstand its strength. The ship began to tip and eventually capsized, throwing everyone into the vast ocean.

Rojan, Polo, and some of the soldiers tried to swim back to the ship, hoping to right it. But they couldn't, and the ship started to sink.

"Come on, let's swim! Hold your breath! We're almost there!" shouted Rojan while swimming.

"I told you we should've let that whale go. Maybe we'd already be there!" Polo added.

"Enough, Polo! Just follow my orders!" Rojan snapped.

They swam with all their might, but some soldiers couldn't hold on and tragically drowned.

"What now, Captain?" asked Polo as he tried to catch his breath. "Many of the troops have drowned!"

"Hang on, everyone! We're almost there! We can't teleport in the middle of the ocean like this!" Rojan replied.

As they were losing strength, they noticed a large fin following them from behind. Fear struck them, and they tried to swim faster.

But strangely, the creature did not attack. Instead, it helped lift them onto its back and carried them to the Land of the Centaurs.

It wasn't a dolphin — it was a mermaid, who, along with others, brought them to the magical land known for its powerful sorcery.

Upon arriving, Rojan thanked the mermaids.

"Thank you, mermaids. Without your help, we would've drowned in the middle of the ocean!" said Rojan and Polo.

"I am your mother, Rojan!" one of the mermaids revealed.

Everyone was stunned.

"That's impossible! My mother died long ago, after she left me when I was still a child!" Rojan replied in disbelief.

"No, my son. I am your mother. I fell overboard from your father's ship when he tried to catch a great whale. I drowned and was brought to the mermaid city beneath the sea, where I was revived as a mermaid!" she explained.

"Why have you come here, son?" asked another mermaid.

"I'm here to find the twin amulet!" said Rojan, showing the artifact.

After examining it, they saw that the amulet held immense magical power. It could be leveled up, and its owner would gain great strength.

"If this is for evil, I cannot help you," said Rojan's mother. "I am now a part of the mermaids. We do not commit evil but help humans. You're becoming like your father, Captain Arial. Magic changed you. I hope one day, you'll change too, Rojan!"

Then she and the other mermaids returned to the sea, leaving them behind.

But Rojan ignored his mother's words, as he was already part of the Centaur magic circle.

They resumed their search for the twin amulet, using the original as a guide. If it turned red and pulled toward a direction, it meant the other amulet was nearby.

They searched various places, including the burial grounds of the Centaur tribes, hoping to find traces of the second amulet.

After hours of searching, the amulet glowed red and pointed to an ancient grave. They dug it up and found the twin amulet beneath.

But just as Rojan was about to take it, the corpse came to life and attacked them.

The undead flung Rojan and his troops far away. Rojan fought back with his fire magic, burning the undead until it turned to ash. The amulet dropped, and Polo picked it up.

"Alright, we've got it! Let's fuse it with our amulet and awaken the Masked Warriors!" said Polo.

"Give it to me, then. Let's unite them!" Rojan said, taking both amulets and fusing them.

The amulets merged, absorbing all kinds of energy — both good and evil — and transformed into a dragon. The amulet had now reached its ultimate level.

"Haha! We did it, Polo! Now we're the strongest! We can do anything with this amulet!" Rojan laughed arrogantly.

Rojan and Polo then commanded the Dragon Amulet to awaken the Masked Warriors. Suddenly, warriors began rising from graves all over the Land of the Centaurs.

Rojan's army grew larger. The Masked Warriors could shapeshift and disappear like ghosts.

They would obey Rojan and Polo without question, following every order.

"Masked Warriors, build us a massive ship. We're returning to the land of Venice!" Rojan ordered.

The warriors moved like genies, building the ship in minutes. Rojan, Polo, and their troops boarded and set sail for Venice.

Meanwhile, Delvi was being held in a room by Art and his friends, hoping to use her to lure Rojan with their magic. But now Rojan had grown even stronger, thanks to the Dragon Amulet he possessed...
