Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 : Subconscious Vision

Delvi had realized that she was being used as bait so that Rojan would be forced to use his magic, which would result in both Rojan and Polo losing all their powers…

Delvi tried to find a way to escape from Art's room, but she couldn't—because everyone was guarding the room, including the police and the FBI. Tomorrow, Delvi was to be taken to the police station and placed in a cell, to lure Rojan into showing up.

"Have there been any signs of Rojan and his companions?" asked the officer while handing Art a document that seemed to be important.

"Not yet, sir. Maybe soon. Let's just wait for their arrival!" Art replied confidently.

"Alright then. Call us tomorrow to bring the girl to the detention room for safety," continued the officer.

"Yes, sir! But, what is this document, sir?" Art asked while holding it.

"Oh, that's the evidence and fingerprints of the suspects in the robbery and murder of several police officers. Keep it, and bring it to the station tomorrow. If Rojan and his friends show up, they'll be held responsible for all of it and brought to justice," the officer answered firmly.

"But sir, why don't you just keep this important document yourself?" Art asked with hesitation.

"We're still investigating other cases. So for this one, we're giving you the responsibility," replied the officer.

"Oh, understood, sir!" Art responded with confidence.

Then the officer left them and headed back to the station…

Meanwhile, Julia was still being treated at the nearest hospital.

Her leg was still wounded from the snake bite in the forest the other day. The doctor was still working on extracting the remaining venom. Julia remained weak and bedridden…

Art and his friends had arrived at the hospital and immediately went to check on Julia's condition.

"Is Julia going to be okay, Doctor?" asked Art.

"We're still removing the venom from her leg. It may take a few days," said the doctor as he injected Julia with a sedative.

Meanwhile, Rojan and Polo were on their way to the land of Venice to rescue Delvi.

They traveled swiftly by sea, and within just a few hours, they arrived and disembarked, immediately beginning their search for Delvi.

Rojan, accompanied by a few masked warriors and Polo, teleported from place to place in search of Delvi's whereabouts.

They searched everywhere but still didn't know where Art and his friends lived. Still, Rojan tirelessly continued the search.

But just as they were searching for Art's house, they were confronted by a group of local mafias—some of the most feared in the city.

"Hey, who are you? What are you doing wandering around our territory this late at night? Who are you looking for?" said the mafia men.

"We're looking for Art. Do you know where his house is?" said Rojan and Polo.

"Art, the son of that art teacher? Why are you looking for him?" one of the mafias asked, curious.

"It's important. Do you know where his house is?" Polo followed up.

"His house is by the bridge, at the edge of the city! We often go there to collect rent debts from his parents who rented our shop."

"Alright, then. We'll be on our way. Thank you for the information!" said Rojan hurriedly.

"Hold on, you can't just leave. You have to pay us for the info we gave you! And what exactly do you want with that boy?"

"You don't need to know!" said Rojan sharply, anger flaring.

Rojan threw them a large amount of money.

"Hmph, you young punks, money alone isn't enough. You dared to disrespect us, the city's mafia!" said one of the mafia leaders.

"You've wasted our time and made me angry!" Rojan snapped.

Then a fight broke out between Rojan and the mafia…

Rojan, in a fury, summoned his masked warriors.

"Masked warriors, eliminate them!" Rojan ordered through his dragon pendant. The masked warriors emerged and attacked the mafia.

The mafias were overwhelmed and defeated, one by one falling at the hands of the masked warriors.

"This is the price you pay for wasting my time!" Rojan declared.

Then they left the scene and headed to Art's house.

Once they arrived, they tried to enter, but it was as if an invisible wall was blocking them…

They tried again and again, but still couldn't get through.

"Ahh, what is this? Have they also used magic and placed a barrier around the house?" Rojan said in frustration.

"No, Rojan. I can sense that the house is protected by a magical force—there's something inside, a powerful magical object," Polo replied.

So Rojan and Polo waited outside the house, trying other forms of magic to penetrate the shield.

But no matter how many times they tried, even the masked warriors couldn't break through the wall.

"What now, Polo? What should we do?" Rojan asked.

"Alright, let's try communicating with Delvi through subconscious telepathy. Maybe she has the answer!" said Polo, sending a message into Delvi's mind.

Delvi, still lost in thought in the locked room, became aware of the message and saw Rojan and Polo in her subconscious vision.

"Delvi, what happened to you? Are you alright?" Rojan asked.

"Yes, Rojan! Please get me out of here!" Delvi pleaded.

"Delvi, we can't get in—the house is protected by a magical barrier! Is there another way?" asked Rojan and Polo.

"I can't get out either. I'm locked in a room with advanced security! Can't you use your magic to break through the wall? Please!" Delvi begged.

But Rojan and Polo knew that if they used their strongest magic, they would lose their powers forever—and everything would be for nothing.

"This is a trap, Polo. If we use our strongest magic, we'll lose our power permanently!" Rojan said.

"That's exactly why Art kidnapped Delvi. That jerk figured out our weakness!" Polo added.

After thinking for a while, Rojan and Polo decided to give Delvi a way to escape Art's trap by sending her instructions through subconscious communication.
