Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 : Masked Warrior

After navigating through the dense forest, Art and his friends managed to escape from the serpent-shaped magic sent by Rojan and Polo. However, due to being chased by werewolves, Rojan and Polo decided to return to the Palace to avoid danger.

In the middle of their journey, Art and his friends encountered the werewolf group, and they were all shocked.

"Awooo..." "Awooo..."

"Watch out, wolves!" they shouted, quickly running and hiding behind the trees.

But the werewolves transformed into humans, as the full moon had passed.

Then appeared human figures recognized by some of the police members, and they were all astonished.

"My God, Mr. Jemy and Mr. Roger, from the morgue room... are we seeing this right?" they exclaimed in shock.

"Who are they? I don't understand what's going on," added Art, confused.

"They're police officers who died in the line of duty, during the time of your kidnapping, Art."

Then Art remembered the incident when the police were taken hostage by Captain Arial's men.

"Sorry, sir, how are you alive again, and why are you werewolves?" asked Art and his friends.

"We seek revenge against those criminal children—they activated an evil spell born from their father's energy and the Centaur members, who possess the greatest magical power," said Mr. Roger.

"We cannot die unless this land is cleansed from criminals like them. Our souls inhabit these wolves so we can hunt them!" Mr. Roger continued.

"Alright then, let's continue our journey. We're almost at the Palace!" said Mr. Roger and Mr. Jemy.

They proceeded, and after passing through the dense forest, they finally saw the castle in the distance and hurried toward it.

Upon arriving, they entered the Palace, only to find it completely empty. They started searching for Delvi first. Room by room, they looked—but no one was in sight.

"Where are Rojan and Delvi? Have they teleported somewhere else?" they all wondered.

The night grew colder, and the Palace—laden with history—seemed haunted with restless spirits and souls.

Suddenly, all the doors locked, including the main gate and Palace entrance—they were trapped inside.

Art tried hacking the security system, but his laptop was damaged.

"Ahh, why did my laptop break? What happened?" Art exclaimed in frustration. Tommy and Avicii started looking for another way out, searching every room and crack, but found nothing.

Then, suddenly, a giant spider emerged and filled the room. Everyone panicked and tried shooting at it, but strangely, the spider wouldn't die and kept multiplying.

The spider moved closer to Julia, and she was bitten. Her face turned pale, and her body weakened. A police officer carried her and laid her on an altar in the Palace. Art and his friends tried to destroy the spiders, but they kept increasing in number.

"Julia, hang in there!"

But Julia could no longer speak, and her breathing slowed.

"I'm sorry, Julia… this is all my fault for involving you in this!" said Art with tears in his eyes.

Julia was the only friend who always supported Art, and he couldn't bear to lose her.

Art injected her with an antibiotic in her arm to keep her alive for a while longer.

Meanwhile, the police and FBI took out their shotguns and blasted parts of the Palace, hoping to create an exit.

"Art, we can't keep going like this! We must do something! Julia could die, and so could we!" said Tommy, losing hope.

Frustrated, Tommy stomped and struck the spiders, but they multiplied even more, becoming like a sea of spiders.

"Stop! Don't kill them—if you keep killing them, they'll just multiply more!" shouted Art.

"No, Art! If we don't fight them, we'll die from their poison!" Tommy replied, ignoring Art's plea.

Art tried to restrain Tommy and calm him down.

Once they all stopped and ceased all gunfire, the number of spiders began to decrease. Eventually, they all vanished.

Now they realized the spiders only appeared in response to noise, so they remained silent. The Palace fell into eerie silence. Feeling safer, Art went to the front hall and tried to access the Palace's security codes.

Tommy and Avicii gave Julia water, trying to wake her, but the spider's venom was deadly—Julia had only minutes left.

Then the police and FBI managed to break into a heavily guarded room, which turned out to be the Palace's treasure room filled with lavish jewels.

"These must be the stolen treasures taken by Rojan and Polo. Let's secure them and return them to their rightful owners!" they said.

But as they tried to take the jewels, they were stung by swarms of bees emerging from the vault. They all fled the room.

Meanwhile, Art remembered the code and successfully unlocked the main door and the Palace gate. Everyone rushed out. Julia was carried by Tommy and Avicii. As they exited, Julia slowly regained consciousness.

"Thank goodness, Julia, you're awake! Let's go home. Forget about them—they're gone," Art said to her.

"Art, I hope you can stop Rojan and the others..." Julia said weakly.

"I will, Julia. Once the Cat Angel returns, we'll take them down!" Art replied.

Suddenly, they were shocked to see Mr. Roger and Mr. Jemy had transformed back into werewolves—and had captured Delvi.

"Alright, bring her along. Our plane will arrive soon!" said one of the officers.

The aircraft landed in front of the Palace, and everyone boarded—except for the werewolves, who were still hunting down Rojan and Polo.

Meanwhile, Rojan and Polo were desperately searching for Delvi, who had been kidnapped by the werewolves.

"Ugh, Delvi is such a nuisance. Where did she go? We were about to perform the ritual to transfer my energy into her!"

"Delvi was kidnapped by the werewolves that attacked us while I waited near the beach," said Polo, panting from running.

"What?" said Rojan, shocked.

"How could you let the werewolves take Delvi?! Come on, Polo, use your magic! This could be dangerous if Delvi is taken. We could lose our powers—I just leveled up so I could transfer my energy to her!"

"I'm sorry, Rojan. The werewolves are extremely powerful. They appeared because of what happened yesterday. The only way to defeat them is with the Masked Warriors from the Centaur Kingdom," replied Polo.

"The Masked Warriors can only be summoned if we find the Twin Necklaces!" said Rojan, gripping the skull-shaped necklace tightly.
