Mei handed them weapons, but Executioner just smiled and patted his Katana blade.
" Dont need those. This baby's all I need."
The others chuckled and climbed into their cars.
The engines roared, Ryota's Bentley continental GT speed, Shota's Mercedes-Benz S-class S680, Hiroto's Ferrari 812 superfast, Ling Tian's Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, Rina's Bugatti la voiture Noire, and Natsumi's Maybach Exelero.
As they pulled away, Mei's voice came through the earpieces.
" Alright guys, Mr. Daiki's at Kita Shinchi club. Dress to impress. I've left some clothes in the trunks. Change into something fitting for rich guys, but don't forget to keep a low profile."
They nodded, and Executioner heard the rustle of clothes being changed. Ryota's voice came through the comms, " Alright, looking sharp over here."
Shota added, " Time to blend in with the rich and famous."
They arrived at Kita Shinchi club, where luxurious cars lined the parking lot and booming bass spilled out onto the street. The crowd cheered and danced, lost in the rhythm.
" Let's get this party started," Shota said with a nod, and they came out of their cars.
The crowd turned to stare, whispers spreading.
" Whoa, check out those riders!"
A lady exclaimed. The seven agents walked into the club, their eyes scanning the crowd.
Inside, the room was pulsating with loud music. Speakers pulsed, and people dance wildly.
" Umm, guys, let's chill for a bit," Executioner said through the earpiece. " Too many eyes on us. Spread out and blend in."
Shota spotted a guy tossing cash at girls on dance floor.
" Some people just don't know how to spend money right,"
He muttered, and smiled. He sidled up to the guy and expertly lifted his wallet, then slipped away to the back of the dance stage.
The wallet was full with cash, and Shota's was happy as he flipped through the bills.
He also found an ID card-it belonged to Daiki. But Daiki himself was not there. Shota's senses went on high alert.
He took out the cash and slip the wallet back into the guy's pocket and snatched his phone. The screen lit on, showing a text message. ' They are in, come back now'
Shota's eyes narrowed - the phone wasn't registered to the guy the phone is with.
He clicked the piece into place.
" Guys, I think we've been fooled," Shota said through the earpiece. " Daiki's not here! He's played us. We need to find him before he delivers the case."
" How are we supposed to find him if he's not here?" And when the tracker is showing a false location of Daiki?" Ling Tian asked, his voice filled with frustration.
Shota's eyes locked onto the guy, who was now making a hasty exit.
" Relax, I think our friend here might be able to help us. Let's follow him and see where he leads us. Get back to the cars, pronto."
As they turned to head back to their cars, Executioner's eyes flashed onto a mask that looked eerily familiar. It was the same type worn by the men they had killed his father 21 years ago. He became angry and clenched his fist tight.
" Executioner, where are you? We're at the car. Come now,"
Rina said into the connected earpiece, but Executioner didn't respond. He walked slowly towards the guy wearing the mask.
" Ryota, go check if Executioner's there,"
Shota commanded. Ryota rushed to the club and found Executioner angry and walking towards a masked guy.
He tried to grab Executioner's arm, but he shook him off.
Without warning, he punched the masked man with a high energy. The man fall to the ground, dead without even saying, ' Ouch!"
The crowd scream and chaos, running away from the club.
Executioner finally came to his senses and reached out to Ryota, but he pushed his hand away and stood up. They headed to their cars, but it was too late. The guy's accomplice had escaped.
Shota was furious.
" You let him get away! This mission's disaster because of you!"
Executioner chest heaved as he pushed Shota against the car.
" Don't ever blame me again."
Rina stepped in, separating them.
" Enough, guys. Let's focus on tracking him down."
Ryota spoke, " I still have the phone tracker."Shota's mood lifted slightly. " Yes!"
He pulled out his laptop and tracked the phone. The location showed up as Kita Shinchi.
" Wait, Kita Shinchi... The phone's location is...here,"
Ryota said, confusion on his face.
Shota's expression turned sheepish.
" Oh great..."
" Why?" Ryota asked.
Shota said, " I stole the phone. It's in my pocket."
The group let out a collective groan, realizing the futility of their mission.
Hiroto chuckled and said, " But I can help."
" How?" Executioner asked.
Hiroto smile.
" If I smell the phone, I can track him by his scent."
Their faces suddenly change as they heard Hiroto idea, and they burst out laughing, and Natsumi carried Hiroto on the back.
" You're genius, Hiroto!"
Rina's voice said in amusement.
" Then do your job, genius Hiroto."
Shota pulled out the phone and Hiroto smell it.
" I smell...Shota's scent."
The group faces fell again, but Hiroto just chuckled.
" Just kidding, let's get in the car. I think he went...that way."
Executioner nodded. " The way to Kawabata street."
Hiroto nodded, and they all got into their cars. The engines roared and they sped off.
Rina's voice came from the comms system.
" Guys, Mrs. Mei is calling."
" Put her on," Executioner replied.
" Agents, where are you heading?" Mei asked.
" Kawabata street."
" Be careful, there might be professional thieves or killers lurking around,"
Mei warned.
Executioner laughed. " Hahaha, Shota's families."
They all laughed, and Shota smiled wryly.
Hiroto's car took the lead, and he suddenly slammed on the breaks. The cars behind him screeched to a halt, and Shota's head hit the dashboard.
They all got out to see what happened and found Hiroto cuddling a small kid.
" Aww," they cooed in unison.
But before they could ask where the kid from, eight thieves came from the bushes, guns pointed at them.
