Chapter 15 - Beyond The Cage.

Rina walked into a room, seeing fourteen teenagers trapped in a cage with a pointed machine above them. She opened the door quietly. A guard sat nearby, sipping coffee and playing FC Mobile on his phone. Rina grabbed the guard's head, twisted it sharply, and his neck cracked. He fell to the ground.

She shot the glass door, shattering it, and then freed the kids from the cage.

" Let's get out of here, go."

The kids followed her. One kid grabbed Rina's wrist and pulled her back.

" Mrs. Beauty, can I see my sister now?"

Rina looked at her and asked,

" Your sister? Where is she?"

The kid closed her eyes, and tears came out as she spoke in a low, sad tone.

" They took her away for a test."

Rina breathed out, she knelt down, and held the kid's hand.

" Stop crying sweetheart, I promise I will do everything to bring her back, okay?"

The kid nodded, and Rina took her hand as they followed the other kids.

They encountered three guys holding guns. She told the kids to wait and quickly jumped on the wall, and walked on it as she shot the guards. She landed on her toes and waved the kids to follow.

" Let's go."

Rina pulled the kids out of the apartment, the sound of engines coming on their way.

She harried them into a hiding spot.

The four agents showed up, and Rina stood up, a casual " Hey guys" came from her lips.

Natsumi came out of her car, replying, " Hey Rina."

Shota looked at her wondering about where Executioner and Ling Tian are, and who the kids was.

" Where's Executioner and Ling tian."

Rina swept back her hair back, tucking it behind her ear.

" I thought they're out. I'll go check."

Shota and Natsumi decided to join her.

In another location, Taro kicked Ling Tian, while Executioner stood nearby, a gun pressed to his head. Taro signaled, who heard gun shots from outside.

" Deal with them." He stepped out of the room and made a call,

" Kaito, come and pick me up at the back gate."

Kenji pushed Executioner to the ground, stepping on his cheek.

" You're the one with multiples lives, right?"

Executioner breathed out in anger, then he turned. His eyes narrowed as he saw Kenji's mask. " You're the one I punched at the club. I thought you died."

He said. " I could've sworn it was you."

Kenji chuckled, bending down. " You think I was the guy you punched? Haha, no. I just lent him my mask, fool."

Executioner slid his leg, catching Kenji off guard. Kenji's head cracked against the tiles.

Executioner seized the opportunity, plunging his sword into Kenji's chest, pushing it through his back.

As Executioner lifted Ling Tian into his arms, Kenji forced to stand, pointing a gun at them. He aimed Executioner's back. Just as he was about to shoot, a bullet pierced his head.

Executioner turned to see Rina who had shot Kenji.

" Thanks Rina, I own you."

Shota helped Executioner, carrying Ling Tian at his back.

Executioner asked. " Didn't you guys see Taro"?

They both shook their head. " No, we didn't."

" What about the case."

" We've got it."

Shota replied.

They walked out of the apartment, they met at their cars.

Shota said to Executioner, " Ling Tian's injured, he can't drive. And we can't leave his car here."

Executioner noticed the kids and curiously asked.

" Who are they?"

Rina smoothed her hair back, a cute smile on her lips.

" Umm...well, i saw them locked in a cage and freed them. This kid's sister was taken, and I promised to help find her."

Executioner smile. " Let's find her soon."

He put his arm around Rina's shoulders. Rina felt a flutter in her heart but kept her feelings hidden.

Ling Tian went to his car.

" I can drive."

They divided the kids among their luxurious cars and drove off.

Executioner's chest rumbled with his heartbeat.

" My heart's beating again," he muttered. " It hasn't done that since twenty-one years ago,"

Suddenly, a thunderous voice echoed in his mind.

" Well done, Raven. You've figured out who you are. Being good feels pretty good, huh?"

Executioner smiled wryly and shook his head. " Just leave me alone, Mr. Thunder God."

The voice fell silent.

The kids in the car whispered among themselves.

" Is he going crazy?"

Executioner overheard and turned, his voice in deep tone.

" Stop gossiping and focus! I'm not crazy, got it?"

They arrived at Mei's house and parked their cars in the garage. Mrs. Mei came out in anger.

" Why did you disconnected me from reaching you guys?"

Shota stepped back, pointing at Executioner.

" I didn't do it, ma'am. It was him."

Mrs. Mei's anger turned to Executioner.

" Why?"

Executioner explained, " We were under attack. We needed to focus. Sorry."

Mrs. Mei eyes then locked on the kids. Rina stepped forward.

" Please, can they stay here for a bit until we find their parents?"

Mrs. Mei expression softened, and nodded.

Mei asked, "Did you get the case?" Executioner nodded. "Yeah, we've got it." Shota chimed in, "But there's a problem. The name Daiki doesn't exist."

Mei's expression turned surprised. "What do you mean?"

Shota explained, "Taro's been using that name." Mei's face fell, then she smiled.

"Well done, agents. Now that we have the case, you guys should take a break."

As everyone headed to their rooms, Executioner pulled Rina aside. Their lips accidentally brushed together. Natsumi appeared, and they quickly pulled away. Natsumi felt happy for them.

" Sorry to interrupt." She walked away, smiling.

Rina's faces flushed. " What was that?"

Executioner placed a finger on her lips.

" Shh, I didn't mean to. I wanted to talk to you about that kid sister."

Rina's expression changed. " You're really a kind guy, lets go."

Her words keeps repeating in his mind as he followed her to the garage.

They got into his Pagani and drove towards the Ongenki building.
