Chapter 23 - How To Get Blood

Hearing Alice's words, Luis nodded without thinking.

He only cared about his Power Core, not anything else.

"Follow me," Alice said before walking to the second floor through a long, curved staircase.

When he arrived at the top, Luis found many doors that looked like bedroom doors, but were probably used for something else.

Alice went to one of those doors, opening it in front of him.

Of course, behind the door was not a bedroom even though it was designed for a bedroom.

There was no bed or wardrobe. Luis only saw rows of futuristic equipment most of which he did not know.

The one he did know was the exact same chair as the one in the basement of the imperial high school, the chair for building the Power Core.

Alice made a sign to follow her and pointed at the chair.

"Sit there," she said.

Luis immediately sat down without asking anything.

"Give me the materials," Alice continued.

She looked at the ring on his finger that he had just put on.

Luis naturally did not hesitate to her. He took the ring off before handing it to her.

The first thing she did was of course peek inside the ring.

Luis wanted to know her reaction but it turned out that she didn't show any reaction to all that material.

After that, she walked behind the chair.

When the chair was activated, the medical hoses began to puncture his body through the needles at their ends, instantly making his eyes widen because it did hurt.

His body twitched spontaneously.

Fortunately, it wasn't long before he felt liquid flowing into his body and it relieved the pain.

Phew!

He let out a sigh of relief, leaning his body on the back of the chair.

He didn't really care about the process, what mattered was the result and he just kept waiting.

When the process began, the five-colored liquid entered his body.

"Mm..."

His eyes widened but not from pain like before. This time, he suddenly felt a tremendous increase in strength.

The process of building the Power Core was a process of level advancement, it was only natural that he started to become stronger.

When the ball of light that was his Power Core appeared in front of him, he couldn't help but be amazed.

Not only did it consist of five colors representing the five elements, it also appeared larger.

DING!

(Your EXP has reached 100% and you successfully built a Power Core, you level up to Level E+!)

[Name: Luis Moonvale]

[Level: E+]

(EXP: 0%)

[Estimated Power: 450]

[Blood Points: 0]

(Spirit: none!)

DING!

(Notice: In addition to your EXP having to reach 100%, you must evolve your blood to the next level to advance to Level D by absorbing monster blood and increasing your Blood Points!)

Luis finally fully advanced and this time, his power increase reached four times, unlike the normal increase of only about three times.

450 at Level E+, when compared to those with weak Spirits and Tier 1 Strength Cores, his Estimated Power might not differ much.

Luis then felt a clear difference within his body.

The Power Core, it had finally appeared in full form, which changed the type of power.

Of course, now he needed to think about the next thing.

He needed to develop his blood to the next level, Golden Blood.

Although it seemed simpler than building the Strength Core, more had succeeded in building the Strength Core than evolving the blood to Golden Blood.

The process was not complicated, but it was more difficult than one might imagine.

Basically, the Awakeners had to absorb the blood of monsters which would increase their Blood Points. If that reached 100, their blood would naturally level up on its own.

Only, they needed to absorb the blood of monsters that were killed in an active state, not monsters that had been locked up for a long time.

The difference in their blood was quite significant in that the blood of active blood monsters had a high combat spirit.

Luis already knew this and unlike the Power Core, there was no special difference between bloods. However, depending on the blood monster absorbed, the increase in Blood Points would be faster.

"You can't be happy because of this progress. Increasing Blood Points is much more difficult. If you only absorb blood from Level 4 monsters, your Blood Points probably won't increase at all. Even absorbing Blood Points from a Level 5 Monster, the Blood Points will only increase slightly, it could be less than 1 Point. This was a more difficult journey unless you somehow found a Primordial Monster killed in front of you and you absorbed its blood. Even the blood of a Level 4 Primordial Monster is enough to increase your Blood Points significantly." Alice who was behind the chair suddenly said while walking in front of him.

"Primordial Monsters?" Enzo showed a strange look when he heard those words from her.

He immediately wondered if he could turn into a Primordial Monster and then take his own blood and then become human to absorb the blood.

Shouldn't that be possible?

Perhaps it was a bit painful but it basically did not affect his original body since he and his monster figure were different bodies.

If it was like that, he could accumulate Blood Points quickly.

"Alice, what Tier is your Power Core?" Luis asked in response.

His thoughts were about blood, but he couldn't talk about it with anyone.

"Three," the woman replied casually.

"Really?" Luis was still surprised to hear that.

"My spirit is strong so my combat power is also high. I can gather Tier 3 Power Core materials by myself," Alice said in a tone as if this was just a normal thing.

"Then how many elements do you have?" Luis was curious so he asked again.

"Only three, consisting of the elements of destruction, death, and darkness."

Luis, "..."

Luis found it hard to feel better than him in terms of the Power Core after hearing that.

Three elements but they were not ordinary elements.

Monsters with those elements were much more powerful and rare. Gathering their materials was naturally more difficult.

Even Luis was not sure his Power Core which had five elements was stronger than Alice's.

The combination of the three elements was likely to produce an extremely terrifying attack.
