Chapter 26 - Poison

The bald man swam closer to the Bluestone base.

He was so careful that his movements didn't produce the slightest ripple in the river water.

Unfortunately, he was too slow so Luis who was watching him was uncomfortable to the point of wanting to drop a rock on him.

As a bird, he was still able to pick up one stone and carry it away.

Although he was curious about his actions, he would rather act on his own than have to wait for him.

Fortunately, before he took such action, Milo took something out of his Dimensional Artifact.

He turned out to have a Dimensional Artifact which was quite surprising because local Awakeners who were still at Level E usually didn't have such things even if they had a Spirit.

They could only obtain them through luck unless they were the children of rich people.

What he took out was a small bottle containing a white powder similar to cement granules but definitely not cement.

'The smell, what is this smell.'

Luis in his bird form not only had keen eyesight, but also smell.

Even though the white powder was inside the bottle, he could smell the scent and it was a scent that he thought felt deadly so smelling it from afar made him a bit dizzy.

'This must be poison!'

Luis quickly came to a conclusion. Of course, it wasn't just poison, but a very powerful poison. It could probably kill the powerful Awakeners.

Even then it could kill that Bluestone or it was impossible for Milo to bring it here.

Who knew how he got it, but maybe instead of selling the poison, he would benefit more if he got the Bluestone's corpse.

'He can't be allowed,' Luis thought.

After that, he flew suddenly towards the man from top to bottom.

With his gaze focused on Bluestone's lair, he didn't notice his arrival at all.

Pluff!

He grabbed the poison bottle with his claws before pulling it upwards.

With him off guard and only holding the bottle with light force, he easily made the bottle slip out of Milo's hand.

Instantly, his eyes widened, staring at the bird flying rapidly into the sky.

His face showed an expression of deep wonder, as if he saw something most impossible.

When had there ever been a bird that stole something from human hands.

Even if there was, what the bird stole should only be fish.

What he was carrying was a bottle, how could a bird be interested in stealing it.

Increasingly aware of what was happening, Milo's face began to turn red with anger so his breathing became rapid.

"Who, who is it? Who stole from me!" He shouted.

Of course, he didn't believe this was all a coincidence. He was sure this was someone's actions and schemes.

The problem was that among the Awakeners, there were so-called Beast Masters with the ability to control animals and monsters. Controlling a bird was very easy for Beast Masters.

However, he couldn't figure out who it was and his shouts seemed to disturb Bluestone who was in his nest.

The stones around the Bluestone's hole began to tremble, as if a creature of great weight was moving.

The vibrations became so strong that the river water itself began to produce large waves.

The size of the Bluestone did not become larger as its level increased, but its weight became heavier despite being the same size.

Xiu!

From the huge hole, a blue figure jumped out.

It was a bluestone with a sphere-like shape but had quite short arms and legs.

Its front part was its face where there was a pair of eyes, a nose, and a mouth without teeth because its gums were stone that could crush anything when pressed together.

It looked at Milo who was making a scene.

BANG!

Its foot stomped on the ground, causing a huge earthquake that cracked the ground.

It had a very strong defense, but its attacking ability was very simple, just stomping the ground with its feet or punching with its hands.

Because of its weight, those simple movements could be very dangerous for people.

Milo instantly became panicked and then after that he opened a crack to the original world.

He entered it without hesitation, afraid of coming face to face with the Bluestone.

Unfortunately, he was two levels below it.

Meanwhile, Luis, who was flying high in the sky, had transferred the bottle of poison to his Dimension Artifact.

Seeing the Bluestone's appearance, he transformed into the Death Knight King and threw himself at the Bluestone who didn't notice the enemy coming from above.

[Estimated Power: 1662]

Surprisingly enough, his Estimated Power as the Death Knight King was only one point below that of the Primordial Golden Gorilla.

It seemed that the two were truly two creatures designed to fight.

The Primordial Golden Gorilla may have the Primordial Gold Core, but the Death Knight King had the Symphony of the End, a bell that would ring every time he killed and increased his power.

Their difference was only in purpose, the gorilla was basically to do damage while the Death Knight King was to kill.

For Luis at the moment, he only needed his second skill, Soul-Ending Shackles to summon soul chains.

As he got closer to the bluestone, the soul chain appeared in his hand and slid towards the bluestone.

When it realized where he was, the chain had already begun to wrap around its body and went deep into its body, grabbing its soul which made its eyes widen as it felt a strange touch that it had never felt.

"It's heavy," Luis said, surprised as he found it difficult to pull the Bluestone's soul.

It gave him the sensation of pulling a large truck with ropes.

"Let's attack first!" He grabbed the large sword made of bone on his back before leaping towards the Bluestone.

He knew his attacks wouldn't work on the monster, but his goal was to make it counterattack which would then weaken its stamina.
