Chapter 22 - Chapter: 22, Christmas Gift

Chapter: 22, Husband Santa

Mark appeared inside the familiar cave and found all the others sitting around the bonfire. They were currently making Lunch and talking.

Sensing someone's gaze, Sunny looked his way and with a smile invited him over.

"Hey, come over. Food is almost ready." Hearing her, others also looked at him. Some had awkward faces and some were smiling.

Mark walked ahead and sat beside them. After a while, they finished eating.

After eating, they rested for a while when Mark announced to everyone, "Everyone, I have something to give you."

Everyone else looked at him, a bit confused. Mark gave them the memories he made one by one.

All were silently looking at their memories, and once everyone confirmed that the memories were real, their eyes shone with pure joy and surprise.

Effie was the first one to shout excitedly "Oh my dead Gods! A Transcendent Memory! And a Soulbound weapon at that! It also suits me perfectly."

Everyone had the same excited look but they didn't shout like her.

Kai and Seishan couldn't help but tremble slightly. They were dreamers, and are not supposed to possess transcendent powers. And if they were normal memories, they couldn't even use them because of the high essence requirement.

But if it is a soulbound weapon that can bind with them and adjust according to them, it might be the most valuable memory in the entire world, two worlds actually.

Cassie on the other hand had tears in her eyes. This almost a year of blindness has made her realize just how helpless she is without vision.

And this memory provided by Mark gave her a new hope. A hope she couldn't miss. She quickly activated the [Bound] enchantment. The memory turned into golden lights, and entered her forehead. The spell whispered in her ears.

[Your Memory have been Destroyed]

[You have receive a new Attribute: Soul Eye]

A golden colored eye shape was drawn on her forehead. She quickly activated the soul eye and after what felt like forever, she saw light, the world of colors that she never saw after the first nightmare.

She found some familiar faces of Sunny, Nephis, who were her childhood friends and Kai, her favorite idol whose music she heard almost daily.

Among them, Effie and Seishan were new faces for her. But at last, she saw the person who gave her the chance to see the world again.

His handsome face with the pale green eyes tranced her. Her heart was racing wildly, her face burned with excitement as she slowly got close to that face. She didn't know if this was because he did such a big favor for her that her feelings deepened for him but she didn't care.

She got right in front of his face and stretched her feet to touch his lips with hers. The world turned dark just as quickly as it lightened up. As their lips moved, Cassie felt a warm feeling in her heart, her feelings were a mangled mess.

She only decided to follow her best friends to choose a man at first. But now, she wasn't just following them, She had actually fallen for this man who her best friend loved. This somehow sounded good but also bad at the same time.

Their lips separated and she hugged him, unwilling to separate. Nephis on the side looked at the spell runes in front of her eyes. The memory she received was for protection, armor. The [Pain Converter] attribute didn't really relieve her of the pain like Cassie, but it was something that helps her survive.

She had thought that it was unfair for her to be in pain every time she used her aspect, but she eventually accepted it. The pain was her flaw, the unimaginable pain she had to endure just to use her aspect. But now, the pain had another, more useful effect.

It would improve her regenerative effect, making her last longer in battles. Her flames could also do the same, but some extra healing wasn't that bad. Now it depends on how effective the healing is, before she can decide on it.

The [Soul Relieve] attribute could heal the pain a little, so it was good. She also knew how valuable a transcendent armor, and a soulbound one at that. She didn't know how Mark got so many transcendent memories, but the willingness to give them away was enough to guess his intentions.

Either he wants to use them for some of his own intentions or he genuinely wants to give those to them to show his feelings.

Anyway, it wasn't like she didn't like him, so it wasn't a problem. She activated the soulbound memory and heard the whispers of the Spell.

Sunny also looked at the black key with a grim reaper holding a scythe with something in her eyes. How did Mark get these memories? Was the question she had, and every memory fit perfectly with the one it was given to.

It cannot be a coincidence and she knew it, but her flaw made any type of suspicion disappear from her heart before she even realized it and didn't confront him.

The thought that came to her mind was the [Raise Shadows] and [Devour] attributes. She has faced the wastage of the shadow fragment after she became a titan. But now, with the first attribute, none of it would be wasted; instead, her shadows in the shadow legion would grow stronger by them.

The [Devour] attribute could also help her grow Just like fiend, but she just needed to kill the creatures. This was a very strong enchantment she could get.

On the other hand, Defying death after every ten thousand kills is literally a lifesaving card. She also used the [Soulbound] attribute with everyone else, as the memories turned into glittering sparks and merged with their body as they heard the Nightmare Spell's whisper.

Mark was pleased with their reactions. He was thinking what to do next when he heard Nephis question him.

"So… How did you get these memories? And how are they so compatible with us? It can't be a coincidence that you killed some corrupted nightmare creatures and they all gave you a soulbound memory each."
