Chapter: 25, Fight of the Crimson Spire
Two days later…
Mark was sitting on the Void Chair, a chair carved out of black stones. A chair based on Sunny's iconic shadow chair.
He looked at the army of nightmare creatures surrounding the crimson spire touching the heavens. All the monsters were strong. Most of them were fallen with some being corrupted and awakened.
The spire messengers with their long beak were flying, circling the spire. All the abominations were prepared for war, as if they were aware of something approaching that can threaten their existence.
Mark stood up, dismissing the void chair. Taking out a transcendent sword he made, He rushed ahead as the nightmare creatures began to notice his arrival.
With his slightly stronger transcendent physique, Mark was as fast as sound. His figure was flashing through as the transcendent blade smoothly cut the bodies of the fallen abominations like butter. After a long round of swinging his blade, Mark stopped and seven transcendent blades hovered in the air.
He was using Anvil's ability and manipulated the swords to kill more creatures. He currently was a Devil, having more essence than before. But his essence regeneration was extremely fast, three thrones of supremacy with three different supreme authority was constantly replenishing his essence.
His essence was enough to use all of the abilities simultaneously without getting essence exhaustion. Soon the dead nightmare creatures began to rise from the ground and attack their fellow nightmare creatures.
Ki song's ability was getting a lot of burden off of him. As both of the sovereign's abilities were activated, Mark without any worry, stood at the same place. Any attacks from the nightmare creatures that escaped the barrage of attacks from both the army of corpses and the seven transcendent swords were easily evaded by him with his supreme perception.
The scene was totally bloodied as the army of abomination was dying and his army of corpses expanded.
Soon, killing all those abominations and the void fragments rushing at him, Mark quickly formed his Tyrant core. But that wasn't the end, the void fragments kept coming and filled his core again as the Terror core also formed.
After half a day, the nightmare creatures were all dead and joined the corpse army. Mark dissolved all of the corpses into ash with his invisible soul flame.
Soon, all that was left were only the glittering soul shards covering the ground. Mark slowly picked them one by one and crushed them in his hand, filling his core again.
Soon, half of the soul shard was gone and with it, and soon he felt the seventh core form in his chest. Obviously he wasn't able to see them in his soul.
Now, Mark was finally a Dormant Titan. He saved the rest of the soul shards in his storage space and entered the spire hall.
The seven statues of the starlight legion were meticulously preserved in the place. Mark went ahead and with the swift slash of his sword, he defeated them all.
He then inserted the oath keys inside their respected place and after some time, the ground shook with an earthquake of high magnitude.
The dark sea, which was about to rise from the crater of the underworld, was sucked away. All of its water, which can be considered to be its body, was entirely sucked inside a small well, sealing it completely.
After sealing the dark sea, Mark summoned the Void chair and sat in the middle of the great hall. He waited for hours, thinking about how the story ahead should progress. But his mind was dull because of Writer's block.
Eventually, He felt a presence far away because of the bond he made with Sunny. With a smile he began to head towards the upper floor where the Crimson Terror, The nameless Sun was trapped.
**
Some distance away from the crimson spire, the sleeper army was heading toward the spire.
Nephis was leading the group as Cassie and other girls of Mark's harem were following her. Sunny was following behind them.
They all witnessed the dark sea rising and receding just a few moments later. They all were shocked but Nephis consoled them that everything was okay.
The sleepers believed her but still held their guard up. They were skeptical and almost didn't believe her but they almost reached the Crimson Spire after two whole days of walking. They couldn't just go back since the one who had the highest hope of defeating the terror wouldn't go back.
So they all walked ahead reluctantly.
Sunny was silent the entire time. The others also noticed her abnormalities but decided to leave her alone.
Caster, with his lackeys, was walking among the crowd. He was skeptical of the mission granted to him by his clan. Changing star wasn't just strong, she was much stronger than he expected.
He knew that just like Gunlaug, he was no match for Nephis. He also can't give up on the mission since it was the only way for his clan's rise to glory.
He expected that the battle ahead would definitely wear her out, which would give him a chance to catch her off guard.
He needed to make sure to conserve his strength to face her, eventually.
Sunny on the other hand, was deep in thought. She had seen the memory given to her by that unknown being.
She knew that the memory was very useful to her, but the description of that memory made her think about it deeply.
Why did a being like that notice her? And how is that memory related to Mark?
And more Importantly, Why did the spell describe him like that? Just how is mark related to any of this?
There was also another problem with the spell mentioned in that memory's description. A hint about the power of Mark's Aspect.
Just what was his Aspect that could even make the Spell, a being that has integrated itself into the tapestry of Fate, show something close to or more than Respect?
