That fear took over my whole body. I slowly pushed myself up from the floor and started crawling in the opposite direction.
I didn't know where I was going. But then, I wanted to scream, to beg for someone to help me, but no words would come out. I couldn't speak.
All I could do was move forward, even as the drug slowly took more control over my body, spreading through.
As I stumbled through the wide hallway ahead, the sound of footsteps behind me grew louder, heavier, scarier. I kept pushing myself forward with the last bit of strength I had.
I took a turn to the right and then I saw a room with the door slightly open. Music played from inside. For a moment, my heart felt a bit calmer.
But I couldn't keep going. No matter how hard I tried, my body was too weak. And the danger behind me was getting closer.
