CHAPTER 21
He pulled her back a few steps, making sure she was safely away from the well, and let go too abruptly. It was almost a shove away from his body.
"Just what the hell do you think you're doing?!" Kael roared, which made her flinch, as well as the rest of everyone around. His jaw tightened so hard, fists shaking to his sides like he was ready to punch someone to death. He retreated a step as he raked a hand through his hair and released a loud breath of frustration.
"I… I wasn't going to—" Diandra opened her mouth but Kael didn't give her a chance to explain.
