"There is no way she said that and meant it," Alexander paced the floor, his anger apparent in the way his claws kept extending, his eyes glowing a fierce molten gold. He was barely containing his wolf.
"Of course she didn't, they obviously were threatening her with something, or they drugged her." Eva said, "she loves you, Alexander. There is no way she would abandon you and Lily."
"She rejected me, but nothing happened," Alexander was frantic. "How is that possible?"
"She didn't reject you. She said it wrong on purpose." Eva told him. "It has to be said a certain way. Whether or not she fooled Jaden, I don't know." The call had been disturbing to watch. They had to get to Della and Jax. Her brother was clearly delusional and dangerous.
