Chapter 91 - Chapter 90: Kisame Hoshigaki Joins the Battle!

---

"Endure it, endure it, endure it, ohhh yeaaaahhh cry!"

A long, drawn-out song echoed through the snowy forest.

On the branch of a massive tree, a colossal blade, nearly five or six meters long, was embedded in the trunk. Standing atop the hilt was a man, his golden hair fluttering in the wind. B, the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, stood below, arms crossed, an exasperated expression on his face. Behind him, Ponta, the massive raccoon-like beast, let out a tired sigh but remained obediently at his side.

The man on the blade, known as Kinjin-sensei, finished his passionate performance, his voice lingering in the air before he turned his gaze toward Killer B. "It's not just about singing. Singing is an expression of one's soul! Now, come on, try it."

B had been holding back for too long. Upon receiving his teacher's encouragement, he immediately broke out into a song of his own. "Ninja! Endure it! Delay death! Yeah!"

Each line was louder than the last, his voice growing more enthusiastic with every verse. Deeply immersed in his own rhythm, Killer B struck his signature pose, pointing one finger to the sky and the other to the ground.

"YO!"

Not far away, Naruto sat on another tree branch, watching the scene unfold. He sighed and shook his head.

"He really hasn't changed at all. Just like his uncle, always rapping."

Naruto recalled the countless times after the Fourth Great Ninja War when Killer B would visit Konoha, dragging him to karaoke bars, forcing him to listen to his newest rap creations. The memories were still fresh in his mind—somewhat fond, but mostly exhausting.

Kinjin-sensei wiped the sweat from his forehead. Despite his efforts to guide B, the man seemed completely oblivious to his lesson.

When B finished his performance, he turned to his teacher with a proud grin, expecting praise. Instead, he was met with a displeased frown.

"Your emotions are too hollow!" Kinjin-sensei scolded. "Do you even understand what it means to convey feelings? If you sing like that, you're disrespecting the art!"

Killer B blinked. "Emotions?"

Kinjin-sensei nodded seriously. "Yes. A song is not just words; it's an expression of the heart. You must interpret the world of the song with real emotion! And don't just power through it—feel the rhythm sink into your core, let it build, and then release it!"

Before he could elaborate further, Ponta suddenly tensed up, his ears twitching. He turned his head sharply, growling low in warning.

Kinjin-sensei noticed his partner's reaction and furrowed his brows. "Ponta? What is it?"

Naruto looked toward the approaching figure and muttered, "So, he's finally here."

A lone figure emerged from the snowy landscape, walking leisurely toward them. A massive blade was strapped to his back, and the mist clung to him as if he carried the ocean itself.

Killer B immediately recognized the attire. "Akatsuki… Kinjin-sensei, we've got company."

Without hesitation, he broke into another impromptu rap. "No time to waste, gotta clear up this case! I'll take them out, no need to hesitate!"

The man approaching them grinned, baring his shark-like teeth. "You're easy to find, Eight-Tails."

It was none other than Kisame Hoshigaki.

He chuckled darkly as he unslung Samehada from his back, planting it firmly into the ground. "My sword has been thirsty for a long time. It loves powerful chakra like yours."

Samehada twitched, its bandages writhing as if sensing a feast ahead.

Kisame smirked. "It looks like it's already excited. Seems like it caught the scent of something delicious. But don't worry, I've been ordered not to kill you—just rough you up a bit."

Killer B scoffed and waved his hand dismissively. "I'll tear you apart, show you the gap! Wake up, fool, ya fool! My rhymes got class!"

Kisame winced. "That's unbearable."

With that, he swung Samehada, the blade extending toward B in a savage arc.

"Ponta!" Kinjin-sensei shouted.

"Too much talking for a Jinchūriki!" Kisame sneered.

Samehada crashed toward B, but before it could connect, Ponta leaped forward, his massive claws intercepting the blow. A powerful shockwave erupted from the clash, sending snow flying. The force of the impact sent Ponta tumbling onto his back, groaning in pain.

Kinjin-sensei landed on his fallen partner's belly, gripping his massive sword with both hands, concern in his eyes. "Ponta! Ponta, are you okay?!"

Kisame exhaled in disappointment. "The bear took the first hit. What a waste. It's such a big thing, but it doesn't have the power to back it up."

Kinjin-sensei's expression darkened. "Ponta is a raccoon, you bastard!"

Fury blazing in his eyes, he leaped down from Ponta's belly, gripping his blade tightly. "Now, you'll see my emotions firsthand."

Kisame hoisted Samehada onto his shoulder, his grin widening. "Oh? This should be interesting."

B, still absorbing the earlier lesson, quickly pulled out a small notebook and scribbled something down. "Use emotions at crucial moments. Okay, got it! Also, Ponta is a raccoon—must remember!"

Kisame rolled his shoulders. "So, you're really going to get in my way too, huh? Fine by me."

Without further delay, he lunged forward, Samehada swinging in a deadly arc.

Just as the clash was about to begin, a sudden blur streaked through the air. A single pencil shot toward Kisame at an astonishing speed.

Kisame tilted his head at the last moment, barely dodging it. The pencil embedded itself into a tree behind him—piercing clean through its trunk.

Kisame's eyes narrowed. "Lightning chakra, vibrating at high frequency to enhance its piercing power… Stronger than a mere Wind Release attack. If that had hit me, I'd have a hole in me right now."

Glancing at B, who had drawn another blade, Kisame realized the earlier attack had only been a feint. The real strike was coming from behind.

"Trying to flank me, huh?" Kisame scoffed. "Annoying."

B charged forward, singing, "Two holes are better than one! Don't underestimate me, son!"

Kisame sighed, already growing tired of the endless rapping. "This is a headache. You're already making me work as soon as I arrive!"

With a powerful pull, he yanked Samehada back, knocking Kinjin-sensei aside before allowing B's thrown blade to stab into his right shoulder. But as B closed in, Kisame twisted, swinging Samehada in a wide arc to block the incoming strike.

A resounding clash echoed through the forest. Killer B stared, shocked.

"What?! My vibrating Lightning Release blade—didn't cut through?!"

Kisame grinned. "Samehada isn't just any sword."

B's eyes narrowed. "In that case…"

Red chakra bubbled around him. Tails began to sprout, one after another, until five tails whipped wildly around him. The ground trembled under his power.

"Yooo!"

B let out a beastly roar, his blade thrusting forward with even more force.

Kinjin-sensei, watching from the sidelines, gasped. "This is… the Eight-Tails' chakra cloak?!"
