The car shoved them and she turned with a grin on her hands and feet, which were spaced wide like she was doing a split while squatting at the same time. Griff was on his hands and feet under her, both doing the most deep and distorted horse stance in the world. They enjoyed the breathes away from the wind but the car was being pushed up the pyramid, showing them up a once impossibly high climb ramp.
They squat walked the ramp, faster and faster, the wind moving so fast it left them dry and unbattered as they climbed the pyramid, which was quickly running out of pyramid because the stupid car wasn't turning with the ramp but rising in a straight line. Soon enough it would fly off without reaching the top where they needed it to go.
She hadn't accounted for that.
There was a very good chance of them being flipped off the edge without reaching the very top.
She could not turn the car, she could do nothing.
No. There was something.
Something
Something! Screamed a voice in her head.
The world slowed down enough to let just her stare and just look at the winds that picked up the rain so easy they'd became streaks of grey like speed lines in comic books and then she saw it.
Kate grabbed Griff's collar, pulled up and pushed away, Griff adjusted and actually managed to get near vertical and she followed actually holding onto him fearful of her weight upon him being too much, but she managed. And currently they were sideways walking across the vehicle to the darkness of the sign which had gone bright because half of the sign, that was currently being weighed down by a car and a tree, was flapping about. The wind had turned a sheet of dense metal into a sail and the main force dragging the whole heap of rubble up. She eyed the sign, the metal interlocked with what was likely metal frame wire caught between the axle and wheel where the tyre's rubber had been cut up and ripped off, like their flesh would be in the near future, she eyed the car's broken windows and was hit with an idea that terrified her.
She pressed her face against Griff's ear and yelled only to get nothing.
Then she looked over him, grabbed his chin and pushed up until they were face to face and spoke her instructions to the air.
He nodded with a determination she wouldn't have had the power to give and watched as he turned and jumped into the car through the open window and scrambled to the driver's seat. The car actually turned on! An electric hum making her chest rumble as sparks flew. The wheels started spinning and then the entire car twisted as the cable was eaten up by the spinning wheel. The sail twisted and changed shape, meal screaming out as the sudden shift in shape pointed it down against the wind, slamming down and then shooting it back up into the air as it had crumpled and re-caught the wind, to rise up once more.
The car bounced and rose with Griff inside, him bouncing and flailing, at first she'd screamed diving out of the way of the car and parting from the vehicle, the wind catching her shoulders and she had to duck onto her back and roll as the vehicle rose and slammed back down. A ton of bouncing metal alloy
Kate's breath held right and she just looked at everything, filling her brain. The car rose, which created counter effect as the air filling the sail was blocked by the rising vehicle forcing everything down hard. Kate scrambled right for the gap and dove.
