[In New York City, Max unleashed a barrage of lightning, the electric currents arcing wildly across the city. Bolts of electricity struck between towering buildings and rained down onto the main roads.]
[A police car sped past but was instantly blown away by the intense electrical discharge. Citizens fled in panic as lightning continued to fall all around them.]
[Peter swung through the city, his web lines slicing through the night as he quickly approached Max. He landed atop a water tower, his sharp gaze locked onto Max, who was clinging to a nearby building, crackling with electricity.]
["Do you see me, Spider-Man? It's time to let fate take its course!" Max declared, his body dissolving into pure energy before vanishing into the electrical grid.]
[Without hesitation, Peter shot out a web and propelled himself forward, following the trail of electricity. He climbed, flipped, and soared through the air, using his webbing to gain speed as he pursued Max.]
[Max zipped between power lines, surging through the city's electrical grid like a living current. Peter stayed hot on his trail, swinging through the gaps between buildings, determined not to lose him.]
[Meanwhile, aboard a plane approaching New York, passengers remained oblivious to the chaos unfolding below. The electromagnetic disturbance caused by Max was wreaking havoc on the aircraft's systems. The crew, noticing the interference, attempted to contact air traffic control, only to receive silence in response.]
[Their instruments and radar had failed, and the control tower—left powerless due to the citywide blackout—was unable to respond. The tower staff had managed to track the plane's route before losing power, realizing with alarm that two aircraft were on a collision course, with only four and a half minutes to impact.]
[Unaware of the impending disaster, Peter continued his pursuit of Max, chasing him all the way to a massive clock tower. He perched atop the structure, looking down at Max, who floated menacingly within the web of electrical lines.]
["You're too late, Spider-Man!" Max sneered. "The power grid—I designed it! It belongs to me! I'm taking it back! I will be in control! I will be their god!"]
[Peter tilted his head and quipped, "A god named… Spark?"]
[His sarcasm ignited Max's fury. The villain raised his hand, summoning a crackling burst of energy that surged through the power grid, forming into a devastating lightning strike aimed directly at Peter.]
[Peter leaped just in time, dodging the deadly blast. He swung downward, landing on a water pipe below. Thinking quickly, he fired a web at the yellow pipe, yanking it hard until it ruptured. A powerful jet of water gushed out, and he angled it toward Max.]
["Not this time!!!" Max roared, gathering even more electricity as he stood his ground against the rushing water. "Is this your best shot?! Come on!!!"]
[His electric discharge intensified, surging through the water. The attack was too strong—Max's electricity tore through the spray, arcing back toward Peter. The blast struck Peter with full force, sending him flying backward as the structure beneath him exploded into debris.]
Later that night, at Max's home…
"Max! I didn't expect you to be so childish!" Peter teased, smirking as he stood beside Gwen. Today was Max's birthday, and despite everything, they had come to celebrate as promised.
Max chuckled awkwardly. "I'm sorry!" he said with a wry smile. Watching his actions on the screen made him feel ashamed, but he was grateful that Peter still showed up, willing to look past it.
Just then, the doorbell rang. Max excused himself to answer it, only to find Harry standing at the door. "Happy birthday, Max!" Harry greeted with a grin.
"Harry?" Peter and Gwen were equally surprised by his arrival, standing up to look at him.
"What?" Harry smirked. "Didn't I say I'd come?"
"Yeah, but shouldn't you be busy?" Peter asked. After all, government investigators were still digging into Norman Osborn's shady dealings with foreign entities at Oscorp. Peter had assumed Harry would be tied up with legal matters.
"Oh, don't even mention it," Harry waved dismissively. "After that old man McCann got arrested, Dr. Kafka spilled everything. McCann also confessed that he hired someone to kill Rajit."
"WHAT?!!!" Peter's eyes widened in disbelief.
Harry sighed. "He thought he had covered his tracks perfectly… but he made one crucial mistake. I found the evidence," he said, then proceeded to recount everything that had happened over the past two days.
Peter finally understood the truth—McCann had been the mastermind behind the Spider-Human Experiment, while Dr. Connors had merely been a scapegoat, silenced before he could reveal anything.
However, what Harry didn't mention was that Norman Osborn had also been deeply involved. Without Norman's approval, McCann wouldn't have rushed the experiment. But to protect his late father's reputation, Harry chose to keep this detail hidden.
As for McCann, he realized that even if he tried to expose Norman posthumously, it wouldn't matter—Norman was long dead, and no solid evidence remained. In the end, McCann had no choice but to take the fall himself.
Meanwhile, due to the passage of time, much of the incriminating evidence had vanished. Richard Parker's revelations on the screen had only served to clear his own name.
In a way, Richard Parker had tried to prevent his research on spider genetics from being weaponized. However, in doing so, he had technically stolen scientific data from Oscorp. But since he was already long dead, there was little point in debating his actions. Public discussion on the matter quickly faded.
With Norman's death, investigators could only go after those who were still alive—namely, McCann and Connors, the key figures in the experiment.
The investigation was expected to continue for a long time, but Harry was largely out of the equation now. The only real consequence was that Oscorp's assets had shrunk dramatically—from $200 billion down to less than $50 billion.
But at least Harry was still alive. Unlike his alternate self in the screen—who was poisoned to death by spider venom—he had gained extraordinary strength and abilities. If it weren't for the sheer volume of company affairs he had to handle, he would have gladly joined Peter in protecting the city.
[Meanwhile, Gwen was furiously trying to break free from Peter's webbing. She hacked at it with a pair of nail clippers, cutting little by little until finally, she tore through the strands. With a determined push, she shoved the car hood aside...]
[Peter, still locked in battle with Max, swung through the air and landed a surprise kick from behind. Max spun mid-air, regaining control, and retaliated by firing a bolt of lightning.]
[Peter, sensing the attack, flipped backward onto a pillar. But the very next second, Max's lightning blast obliterated the spot where he had just stood.]
[Max dissolved into pure electricity, reappearing behind Peter for another attack. But Peter's spider-sense flared—he twisted his body at the last second, narrowly avoiding the strike.]
[Grabbing a chunk of debris with his webbing, Peter somersaulted through the air and hurled it toward Max. The villain tried to counter, but the impact knocked him off balance.]
[Seizing the opportunity, Peter performed a backflip, then shot out web lines to either side, forming a makeshift slingshot to propel himself forward.]
["COME ON!!!" Max roared, shifting his stance as he saw Peter's approach. He reeled back, preparing to punch and unleash another surge of electricity—]
[But Peter was faster. He tackled Max mid-air with a bear hug, pinning him as they plummeted downward.]
[Peter shifted his position, ensuring that Max hit the ground first. But the impact was so powerful that Max immediately rolled over, reversing their positions—now Peter was the one pinned beneath him.]
