[ Chapter XXVII (27): "IN PREPARATION FOR THE STUDENTS: COMMON ROOMS AND DORMITORIES" ]
In the midst of the green sea of trees, wherein animals untamed and untainted by pollution lives in. One certain structure, train tracts elevated high in the air by wooden, cobbled, and even iron beams could be seen forming a straight resolute line.
A line spanning terrains, not bothered by the hotness of desert, or the coldness of the wind given by some other terrain. As it is protected by a mystical shield, whoever attacks it, will be repelled.
In the case of some gigantic dinosaurs, they quickly found out when their small prey hid in-between the structures... Some tried reaching out, but their size is just that tall...
Ultimately the unseen shield blocked them, even all of their attacks no matter how strong. Their lunch seeing the opportunity, took it and ran away, not daring to look back.
This in turn made them grumble to themselves, or equivalent to that, with them turning around and leaving. The hungry monsters wanting to find another prey to eat, lest they starve and die in a dark corner far away.
[ "There is a shield there, great news." ]
For 25 minutes now, since riding the Hogwarts Express for the first time, testing its capabilities. Felix kept seeing scenes like this for a handful of times now, either from land animals like the dinosaurs, or sky related ones like some gargoyle-like animals.
All of them incidentally and some intentionally collided with the support beams of the train tracts, but in the last second an invisible barrier an inch in front of the materials stopped them.
And no matter what they do, they wouldn't bypass it, which assured Felix that the students riding the Hogwarts Express would be safe... If not, then he would have bought sentient guard armors to protect them, which is quite expensive.
Thankfully he didn't have to, as he sits on the comfortable sofa behind him, inside the cabin with both of his feet raised on the other sofa in front. His broom retired for the time being beside him, as he savors the comfort of this train ride...
His purple eyes scanning the scenery outside the window, the unnamed land truly brutal as he notices some animals fighting one another... And when it would be at the peak, the train would have already passed away, making him not see who won the fight...
Tragedy, he knows.
He could only grumble to himself, his eyes then moving away from the window and instead focusing on the System panel in front; the tab for numerous school faculty buildings, modified design opened...
To ease his boredom along the way, he tried playing around with the System's functions and modified some rooms... Which includes the Gryffindor Common Room, Ravenclaw Common Room, Hufflepuff Common Room, and lastly the most extravagant Slytherin Common Room...
Each room has the legendary extension charm in it, but only limited to about 30x30 square feet on it. And if he were to do this it wouldn't be the same with the original Hogwarts which have their own quirks.
Gryffindor and Ravenclaw in a tower, Slytherin in a dungeon, and Hufflepuff near the kitchen wherein the Kitchen House Elves lived, which this Hogwarts doesn't have at the moment...
But now, aside from the color scheme, these Common Rooms don't have the uniqueness that makes them special... Instead now having a bland 30x30 decorated by Felix, due to limitations that is.
But he is sure that for the next school year, or 7 months in this first school year that he, Felix would be able to create a satisfying enough Common Room for the children...
For the proud students of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw that is. One that would embody their house spirit, and uniqueness from one another.
For these rooms that he edited, refined throughout the train ride, it'll cost about 250 Points each. Which is considered cheap, him having to compromise multiple times due to how expensive the other decor is...
A moving bronze guard for 250 Points? A talking door knob that gives riddles for 300 Points? That's funny, but no. Stairs that would turn slopes if the opposite gender were to climb it, cool how mu- 375 Points! He isn't buying any!
No uniqueness for each Hogwarts House, yeah... Even to his house, he wouldn't show blatant favoritism. His surname isn't Snape after all, and he equally loves all the children.
So no quirkiness for each room aside the most basic, which are banners, tables, bookshelves, fireplace, sofa and window that have their house color in some parts... That's it.
Aside from the Common Room he also has to edit a four separate Dormitory for each house, attracted to the Common Rooms which is another expense... He would only have about, what, 1,000 Points or so after he clicked those Commons Room.
So, yeah, even though the Points in his wallet are increasing steadily. He is still poor... At least before the school year officially starts, then he would be rich again...
But before that, he needs to make do with what he has, and hold on for dear life until the reset.
[ "Fine..." ]
His finger begrudgingly clicked the modified images of each Common Room... His wallet draining right in front of his eyes in doing so, before finally settling and increasing bit-by-bit seconds later; [ WALLET: 1,432.9 POINTS ]
[ "I-I'm broke... I'm never gonna financially recover from this." ]
He kept muttering to himself, continuing his editing of the Dormitories, trying his best to lower the cost, lowest if plausible, but still liveable. He doesn't want the students to harbor revenge due to them sleeping in a pile of cardboard or something.
So he maximized comfort, bare minimum with the decoration, and even sucked in air through his teeth when he realized he needs to spend more...
Reluctantly, he tried his best to salvage more Points.

[ HOGWARTS ]
On the other side, in the castle's side. The witch lady Pomona Sprout could be seen carrying dozens or so books, all relating to her study, and right beside her is the small figure of John Constantine, the blonde haired boy carrying plants.
Both of them happily talked to one another. Discussing the plausible uses of some plants to non-magical individuals vs. magically gifted individuals.
Questions poured left to right, right to left, which the chubby-chubby witch has gotten used to. Answering each question thrown at her with ease.
As both of them walk the halls of Hogwarts, no decorations in sight. The familiar paintings, antiques, and even ghosts that she has gotten used to in her Hogwarts days not appearing here.
Which confused her, still does after a month as a Professor. She couldn't help but miss those quirky things, the moving stairs, the prankster ghost, or even students playing prank wars on one another.
This Hogwarts doesn't have that, and is instead a new existence that even she doesn't fully understand. Even her friends, McGonagall which she had gotten close to even before being transported into this world, and Flitwick that have been a helpful junior to her.
She just doesn't understand... What is her true purpose in this world...? Perhaps she wouldn't find the answer she is looking for, perhaps she would, perhaps it wouldn't be satisfactory...
So instead of thinking about this, she went and instead was about to chat with her blue-eyed student on the side... But to her confusion, her student wasn't behind her...
[ "John...?" ]
Worried, she looked behind her and noticed John Constantine her student staring at the door to some room... She looked closely and realized one crucial fact...
[ "Oh dear..." ]
Due to the stack of books that is being carried by her, or her gaze focused on her right side. She wasn't able to notice the doors to her left... One of which is heavily decorated with a Hufflepuff Banner outside.
A honey badger in front of a royal shield, a knight helmet on top and if her memory isn't enough. Then perhaps the words written at the bottom saying Hufflepuff would be enough.
[ "Professor, what is this? I haven't seen it before." ]
[ "Is this that Hufflepuff?!" ]
The excitement on the boy's voice is evident, especially because he has never seen the official banner of Hufflepuff without it sharing its spot with the other three houses.
Now he is seeing it, and he is excited... Too is Pomona, she is confused, but passes that confusion she became excited in seeing her old house's banner, and what lies ahead of that door which the two proud Hufflepuff Banners are guarding.
[ "I-I believe so, dear." ]
She answered the young boy's enthusiasm, with her standing beside the short statured boy... To her surprise, the young wizard beside her— her student, walked to the door and was about to open it.
Trying to stop him, Sprout realized that both of her hands is preoccupied, and she isn't as great at casting spells without a wand; unlike McGonagall and Flitwick who could do it with ease.
So she could only voice out her thoughts, worrying that something dangerous might lie ahead through the door.
The chance is small, but living in a world where dragons and dinosaurs roam free, can you blame her for being cautious?
[ "W-wait, d-don't open the door!" ]
[ "Too late!" ]
But apparently her unruly student is just that, unruly. Opening the door even amidst her request, a Professor, an older sister figure to the young impressionable child.
And the cause of this disobedience, what greeted them is a sight that would make them widen their eyes in surprise.
[ "Wow!" ]
[ "There's a brand new world in here!" ]
