Chapter 1 - An explosion.

You know, I've always loved the Star Wars franchise. I read all the books and comics, and I've watched all the movies and shows more than once. But if I had known I'd end up in this universe, I would've sued George Lucas for creating it.

My name is Ravan Nocteris—that's the only memory I have of this body, besides my other life.

"Get him !""Don't let him escape !"

I had been running for ten minutes. Ever since I woke up in this universe, that's pretty much all I've done. It's been three weeks since I arrived, and things have only gone downhill.

To start, I woke up in an alley, in a different and badly injured body—worse yet, in the body of a child. I still haven't fully adjusted. It took me a while to figure out which planet I was on.

And from what I can remember from the Clone Wars series, this seems to be Mandalore. Oh yeah, I'm right in the middle of the Clone Wars. Whether it's the beginning, the middle, or the end—I have no idea. But I remember how Mandalore ends. And I'm not planning to die.

"Calm down, guys ! I can give it back !" I tried yelling to the men chasing me. They weren't wrong to be mad—I had stolen from at least two of them. But still, I didn't think it warranted this much of a fuss. Together, they didn't have more than twenty-five credits.

"It's too late for that, brat. You're done !" one of the men shouted dangerously close behind me.

Hearing that made my blood run cold. I wasn't in a particularly noble or well-policed part of the capital. A lot could happen here without the Duchess ever dreaming of it—things that would keep her up at night, just like they did to me.

It made me sick to resort to theft, but no one wanted to hire an inexperienced child when they could use droids to do everything for free. I had to do whatever it took to survive—and that's what I was trying to do.

'Damn it, damn it, these guys don't give up—I threw the credits on the ground two streets back…' I thought as I tried to weave between market stalls, hoping to lose the men chasing me. It didn't seem to work.

'Shit !'

Turning right, I found myself in a dead-end alley. Panicking, I looked around, hoping to find an escape—somewhere I could hide.

I saw windows nearby, where people peeked out to see what was happening. Some looked concerned—seeing me, a child no older than five, alone in an alley like this.

Deep breath.Deep breath.

"You thought you could get away, brat ? Think again !" I heard someone yell behind me. Looking back, it was clearly the guys I had stolen from earlier.

"Come on, guys, I don't even have your money anymore! Can't you just let me go ?" I asked hesitantly, walking backward toward the wall as they closed in.

"It's too late for that, kid," one of them said.

"Damn it! Somebody please help me! Help !" I shouted, looking up at the people watching from the windows. Maybe someone would help—but they all started closing their windows. Some looked guilty, others didn't even look at me. That's when it hit me: I was alone.

"Hehehe..." I heard them chuckle as they got closer.

"Guys, please, calm dow—" I was cut off by a punch to my stomach. I doubled over, nearly throwing up—which was impressive, considering I hadn't eaten in a day and a half.

I couldn't breathe as the closest man grabbed me by the neck and slammed me against the wall, lifting me up.

"We're gonna finish you off, brat—but first, we're gonna have some fun," he said with a disgusting smile, echoed by his companions.

'No, no, this can't be happening…' I thought in panic as I saw one of the men reaching toward his pants—more specifically, his "member."

"Hehe, pull his pants down, boss !" one of them jeered.

I saw the hand of the man holding me getting closer to that area. It was like watching everything in slow motion. Why was this happening to me ? What did I do to end up in this world ?

'No, no, this can't happen !' I thought, desperate.

Then I started feeling something—a pressure in my chest. Cold. Powerful. It wanted out. And it was going to come out.

"NO !" I screamed with everything I had. That feeling in my chest expanded—then burst out of me.

BOOOM!!

I heard an explosion—Then everything went dark.
