Chapter 102 - Chapter 101 The Aftermath.

"In the aftermath of yesterday's battle, Blood Lightning had gained wounds that have currently ended his career."

That was the title of the next day's newspapers. It shocked the entire community into complete silence as well. According to the reports given by the newspapers, Blood Lightning had stopped a large explosion from going off on I-Island a month ago while getting injuries that required treatment that would have lasted a few more months. But the attack that happened yesterday prompted him to act while injured, because of which his wounds became serious again. Added to being in the vicinity of the last explosion caused due to All For One using a banned Quirk enhancer drug, causing an explosion that caused more wounds, because of which Blood Lightning has become permanently crippled. Doctors are saying that the wounds are serious enough to completely stop his hero career.

Inazuma read the summary of the newspaper reports that was presented before him.

Yesterday's fiasco with All For One had been over before ten, and the committee had been brought by Nezu by twelve. There was no need for any discussion, as Inazuma's act of killing the Liberation Army members had gone against the laws of humanity itself. Even if he had brought back information from the future where a lot of catastrophe happened due to these members, the council had pressed upon the fact that it was one of the possible futures. Even though they managed to recover a lot of proof from the present timeline which shows that it would have happened again, the council were not able to agree to this blatant disregard of human rights.

So they agreed to the complete elimination of Inazuma as a hero publicly while allowing him to do his job in the darkness, but from now on, his job, at least officially, in front of the media and the public as a whole is over.

Inazuma accepted it easily in front of the court, as it only means he goes back to his rookie days before he got his license. He just has to work in tandem with the police while not revealing anything at all to the public. But the commission and the government tried to put even more rules about his punishment, like not being allowed to go to places that are not specified by them, even if accidents happen there.

That didn't work in any way, as Inazuma rejected it straight away. He can say without any surprise that the commission was trying to control him completely, as the power he showed them on the last day has completely made them afraid.

Inazuma would not have minded if they moved him away from major cities, as they have the best security with a lot of heroes patrolling 24/7. But it seemed like they were preventing him by making him concentrate only on the major cities, where the residences of people considered as VIPs existed.

He can see that even the commission members that came for the trial were completely afraid, as if he would explode and start killing people like Nagant did when they used her too much for their dark politics. This thought actually made him almost laugh, but he held it in, as he felt they would start running the moment he did.

Plus, they had no way of dealing with him at all. No hero or weapon is out there that can outmatch him in speed, plus his phasing makes sure that he cannot be trapped in any way. Add to the information they somehow gained that even Eraserhead is unable to stop him, the moment he denied their order of additional rules restricting him from acting in certain places, they were scrambling while making plans to change that.

The court trial was done in the presence of the top 30 heroes, as it was an extremely important matter. Most of the heroes who appeared had known what had happened, including the information he had gotten from the future. A few of them protested that he should be imprisoned for what he did. But just turning his head and looking straight at them had shut them up completely. Plus, the fact that the ones who protested were the ones to retire quickly as the entire country went to shit also made him a bit mad.

He guessed that providing information with proof that, when things go down hard, these people cannot be trusted might have pissed them off. The other heroes actually had mixed reactions.

Some, like Jeanist, had agreed to the fact that what he did was necessary, but they could not encourage acts like killing someone before they commit a crime. But they were also against completely removing him from the hero public career, as they considered him an asset that should be on the forefront of heroes.

Heroes like Orca and Mirko were actually angered by the destruction they saw in the files. They actually argued the fact that the commission was making a big mistake by removing him from the post, and if it came down to it, they would have made the same hard decisions to make sure that the future was more secure.

Hawks was silent in it. He was one of the heroes with whom he had a close relationship from U.A. His expression looked a bit sad, and considering the fact that he was the hero who made a hard decision to kill Twice—even when Hawks considered Twice as an innocent with a chance of redemption and a life in society in a peaceful manner. But even then, seeing the loyalty of Twice and knowing that he would never betray the League of Villains, Hawks had made the hard decision of killing him so that the heroes would not have to face a villain capable of creating an apocalypse if given a chance to attack with his Quirk at full power.

Endeavor was actually silent most of the time. The commission were not given the files on the personal matters, including Dabi. Nezu had also made sure to hide the League of Villains from the commission, and it was reported to them that they were killed with Chisaki and their bodies drowned to the bottom of the seas.

Endeavor just kept looking at Inazuma with a serious face and did not even make a single comment at all.
