Chapter 6 - Subjugation mission Part 2

The 21-man subjugation force left the Revigo estate and headed for Jazel forest, where the villagers who reported orc sightings had seen the orcs. Upon entering the forest, the leader of the subjugation force told everyone to be on guard and protect the young master to which Aldwin replied "I am not here to watch, I am here to fight, I don't need protection while we are fighting" the leader hearing this worriedly said "but young master it's going to get dangerous here" "I know it's going to get dangerous, that is why I came, I came to get experience" "alright, at least let the lieutenant stay with you", Aldwin then reluctantly agrees.

In the deep forest, after searching for 2 hours without finding anything, the leader orders the knights to part and search on a wider scale. He forms 4 squads of 5 men, and the young master would accompany him, and when they find anything, they would signal the rest.

After some time the second squad signals to the other squads that they've found the orc camp. The 4 squads then meet up to discuss their plan of action. This is when the second squad informs the knight leader that they also spotted goblins roaming around near the orcs. There's not a clear count of how many but they predicted it should be around 15-20.

Goblins are considered weak for the most part so most knights can take care of them but when they are in a group they get troublesome. On a scale of human power, they can range from 1 star to the peak of 1 star in combat prowess. The orcs that were spotted were only 9 in number. After discussing it they then made the plan to send 14 knights after the orcs and send Aldwin and 6 knights to take care of the goblins. Aldwin had no complaints because he knew that it would be the most appropriate choice for him to take on the goblins since there were closer to his level of power.

The two separate groups then went their way to ambush their respective targets in a surprise attack.

As Aldwin's group is approaching the goblins the 7-man squad hid themselves from the view of the goblins. Aldwin then asks the system using his thoughts " system use detection to see how many of the goblins there are"

(Notice: There are 19 goblins in the vicinity.) during the seven months of training, Aldwin has gotten used to many of the features of the system, like the detection function that scans the surroundings of Aldwin.

Aldwin then whispers to the other knights that there are 19 goblins, Knight 1 wanting to know how Aldwin knew asks "young master 'how can you tell " Aldwin then replies "I have a good sense of perception" Knight 1 has no other way to confirm decides to trust he beloved young master "alright I understand, then take command, so we can catch them off guard when you notice that they've let their guard down" "thank you, for believing in me, ill do my best" after waiting the 2 minutes Aldwin orders them to attack, they all ran and took out one each leaving 12 left, the other goblins notice the commotion and attacks, two came after Aldwin, one swinging a mace and the other holding a dagger Aldwin then parries the mace and slashes the goblin then kicks him to the goblin with the dagger knocking them to the ground and Aldwin takes the final blow killing both goblins. The knights had no trouble slaying them out as they were battle-hardened warriors at the 2 star, 3 of the knights had 3 goblins come after them and 2 had 1 goblin come after them. The last goblin tried to get away, and that's when Aldwin spotted it and threw one of the goblin's weapons at the running goblin, killing him.

The whole battle lasted only 9 minutes. After everyone was finished and the knights were praising aldwind and collecting their spoils of war, they heard two loud screeching sounds coming from the direction of the 14-man squad. Worried they all ran as fast as they could to reach the 14-man squad and that's when they saw 2 champion goblins.
