Chapter 1 - The beginning: The celestial birth

The day Aria was born, a brilliant star burst forth in the night sky, its light piercing the darkness like a shard of splintered glass. The villagers of Tenria gathered outside the small cottage where Aria's mother lay birthing, their faces filled with a mix of wonder and trepidation. As the star shone brighter, casting an ethereal glow over the village, the people of Tenria whispered among themselves, their voices hushed with concern.

Aria's mother, Lyra, held her newborn close, her eyes filled with a mixture of joy and fear. She knew the villagers' superstitions, and the star's appearance on the day of her child's birth did not bode well. As the villagers gathered around, their leader, the Priestess of the Ancients, stepped forward. The Priestess's eyes seemed to bore into Lyra's soul, and her voice was like a cold wind.

"This child is marked," the Priestess declared, her eyes fixed on Aria's tiny form. "The star's appearance is a sign, a portent of darkness and chaos. We must protect our land from the shame she will bring."

Without hesitation, the villagers began to chant and weave intricate patterns in the air, their hands moving in synchrony as they invoked the ancient magic. The Priestess took Aria's small hand and drew a symbol on her palm, the mark of the cursed one. The villagers gasped as the symbol seemed to sear itself into Aria's skin, leaving a permanent scar.

"You are cursed, child of the star," the Priestess spat, her voice venomous. "You will bring ruin to our land, and we will not suffer your presence. You are banished, sent to the human realm, where you will be forgotten and powerless."

As the villagers chanted and invoked the magic, a strange energy began to build around Aria. The Priestess placed her hands on the child's forehead, and Aria felt a surge of power course through her tiny body. The magic of the Echoes, a power that manipulated time and space, was infused into Aria's being, but it was twisted and corrupted by the curse.

The villagers' magic ripped Aria from her world, sending her hurtling through the void to a strange and unfamiliar realm. Lyra screamed, reaching out to her child, but it was too late. Aria vanished, leaving behind only the faint echo of her presence.

Seventeen years passed, and the villagers of Tenria forgot about the cursed child, believing her to be lost to the human realm forever. But Aria's fate was not so easily sealed.

Aria's eyes flickered open, and she was met with an unfamiliar ceiling. She sat up, rubbing her temples, trying to remember where she was and how she got there. The memories came flooding back – the village, the star, the curse. She looked down at her hand, and the symbol seemed to pulse with a malevolent energy.

As the villagers' magic faded, Aria vanished into the human realm, leaving behind a trail of chaos and uncertainty. But the consequences of her banishment were only just beginning to unfold.

Xandros, a powerful sorcerer, had been watching the skies, awaiting the appearance of the King Star. He had seen the prophecy, heard the whispers of a child born under its light, a child who would hold the key to unlocking the secrets of the Echoes. When the star burst forth, Xandros knew the time had come. He gathered his army and marched towards the land of Tenria, driven by an insatiable hunger for power.

As he arrived at the village, Xandros demanded to see the child, convinced that she held the key to his ultimate goal. But the Priestess stood firm, her eyes flashing with defiance.

"The child is gone," she said, her voice steady. "We banished her to the human realm, away from the darkness that seeks to claim her."

Xandros's face contorted with rage, his eyes blazing with fury. "You fools," he spat. "You have no idea what you've done. That child is the key to unlocking the secrets of the Echoes. Without her, your world will burn."

With a wave of his hand, Xandros unleashed his army upon the village. The people of Tenria, caught off guard, were no match for the sorcerer's might. Buildings were reduced to rubble, and the once-peaceful village was plunged into chaos.

The Priestess and the villagers fled, escaping into the wilderness as Xandros's destruction raged on. When the sorcerer finally departed, the village lay in ruins, its people scarred by the trauma they had endured.

As the survivors returned to their ravaged homes, they whispered among themselves of the terror they had faced. Xandros's name became synonymous with destruction, and the people of Tenria lived in fear of his return.

The Priestess, however, knew that the true horror was only just beginning. Aria, the child of the KingStar, was out there, unaware of her destiny and the danger that pursued her. And Xandros would stop at nothing to find her.

However lyria went to a mountain high above the people of tenria and there she raised Aria for almost what seemed like four years…

Then Xandros and his minions came back to the people of tenria and destroyed everything Lyria tried to protect her child but to no avail and left Aria back at the human realm…

What will happen of the little child…
